Can I just say that I am glad you are here? My Culligan dealer tried to tell me that my water softener was one of the newer ones. I doubt that since I have to go through so much trouble just to change the settings on it. You rock.
OK so my question is what is all the numbers mean and lettering as I scroll through the menu it has abbreviations I’m trying to find out how much salt to be used how long to region for etc. all I have learned is how to make it region now and set the time
I have this tank (installed by Mast) and wondered if it needs any regular maintenance? It has no softener attached so no salt or salt tank upkeep needed. It appears to be a closed system. Is there any regular maintenance that should be done that I should know about?
Any idea what to do NEXT once I replaced the main seal pack and the brine seal pack etc an the unit STILL drains constantly out the waste line? I thought I was on to something when I pulled the old seal pack and the seals were shredded didn't expect the unit to still be draining after the new seal packs...!?!??!?!
I press my regen button for regen, for say 10 seconds , the while wheel starts moving to where it should be in regen mode, but nothing happens, its flashing regen on the display, but not regening. bypass valves are set for water flow through filter. Its like it is stuck, never had a problem with this unit. any Ideas
How long it takes depends on what the installer programmed the the wash ans rinse cycles for in the regen processes. My 20 year old gold series takes about an hour and a half to complete a total regen. While in regen the system valve switches to bypass. this means that while in regen/bypass you still have water but it is bypassing the filter system so it is straight from the source as is. This is why the regen cycle is usually set for 2:00 AM when no one is up using water.
