Great little interviews, love every one. Loved Victor Spinetti, he was Texas Pete in Superted in my childhood memories. How about interviewing Rhod Gilbert then you can go on his podcast as well. Possible other 'Would I Lie To You' guests, Greg Davies, Alex Jones, Dara O'Brien, Chrles Dance, .......
I love Joe. I always think he'd come in for a cuppa and cake and not look at the dust on the skirting boards. And of course, he's dead funny..and...I want to rummage through your shelves..
Thanks again for another great episode! Would love to hear an episode with James Acaster, Greg Davies, or Mel Giedroyc. Also maybe you could do a special episode with your first agent 😁
Rob, how many watches do you own? Clearly you are a watch guy. In almost every episode you are wearing a different brand. Very nice to see. Oh, yeah, good interview too :)
In the full interview on Spotify, Joe talks about Richard Ayoade and a smear campaign he orchestrated against him within channel 4, he cited him as a bully as well as a bunch of other claims. Does anyone know if this is true? I haven't been able to find any sources confirming/denying this
I've also been trying to find this out with no success hence why I'm looking through comments. Wondering now if it was just absurd ironic humour as Richard definitely comes across as a gentle soul.
I also was looking at the comments because of this! I assumed it was a joke because it sounded so extreme, but there was no hint of a disclaimer so I'm not sure anymore
huh I don't think I ever knew that Joe Lycett was from Birmingham, he's done a lot to lose his accent. Then again, I'm from a spot in the American northeast where I hate the local accent and I did a lot to get rid of mine over the years, even though I'm back living there now again.
I agree. When you look back at the great comedy acts of the past, they were funny just because. These days, it seems that unless your are dropping the 'f' or 'c' word, you can't get a laugh. 'Would I Lie to You' is a great show to watch because the panel members are genuingly funny in their own right without resorting to swearing. The English language has lost a lot of its discriptive diversity of words as everything becomes 'f'ing this or 'f'ing that.
@@DD-wd7ku The hypocrisy of saying the "English language has lost a lot of it's descriptive diversity", while negating other words just because you don't personally like them. It's not the swearing that gets the laugh. The great comedy acts of the past didn't swear because they weren't allowed to swear on TV. See many of those same acts in a live club setting and they'd make today's comedians seem like prudes.
Jim Davidson was such great tv comedian no disrespect boys, but you both seem a little weak comedy wise. Rob you are a very good impressionist though. Bring Jim Davidson back to television!!!

why can't you upload here too? i want to see with video, it helps me understand with having faces and generated captions i can't do that on Spotify 😭
Possible show titles for Rob:
Brydon Prejudice
Brydon Joy
Bryd-on Time
The list goes on!
Brydon this!
Bryn and Chips
Brydon dirty
brydon seek
Love all the interviews, they are all so well done and enjoyable. Joe is tops for me, the man is so personable and emits honesty when he talks.
I was fascinated by the way the colour of Joe's sweatshirt found unexpected redemption in the teacup behind him.
As always - beautifully curated genius. These interviews are very special. I so wish Sean Lock could’ve been part of this.
You're fantastic at this Rob, nevermind impressions of Parky you do the man more than justice as an interviewer yourself, thank you.
This show is a highlight of my day... thank you Rob and all involved in production... and, of course, all the wonderful guests...

Excellent. Really like Joe Lycett, I'm off to see him for the third time this year. Good work as ever, Rob 👍
I enjoyed that.Joe lycett seems like a nice bloke.
I enjoy Joe a lot everywhere he shows up.
Great interview as always Rob. As a fellow Midlander I have to say I love Joe Lycett, he’s a sound bloke 👍
Saw him in Plymouth last week. He was BRILLIANT!
May I suggest 'As You Lycett'
Saw this show last night in Birmingham and emotional was an understatement 😮 great stuff, and so glad I’ve found this series
Great interview. Please invite Tim Key on the podcast!
That's just about saved my whole evening, thanks! Excellent timing, and one of my favourite comedians to boot.
Just discovered the channel last week and I've been watching loads of these. I'd love to see Jon Richardson if possible
I love Joe Lycett!!!! Great interview!
Rob and co. Was hoping you’d include Joe’s impression of James Acaster! Would love to have seen it! 😊
Listened to all these interviews over the past few days. Brilliant. If you can get Chris Morris I’ll be complete
Excellent, as always
I love Joe. I always think he'd come in for a cuppa and cake and not look at the dust on the skirting boards. And of course, he's dead funny..and...I want to rummage through your shelves..
A very pleasant conversation and nice to eavesdrop on it. Cheers for that
Two of my favourite people ❤️ ❤️
You are my Brydon joy, and I just love you, love you darlin'...keep fighting the good fight Brydon, Brydon.
Rob! Why didn’t you ask Joe about doing Travel Man? I loved the show with Bill Bailey!
Thanks again for another great episode! Would love to hear an episode with James Acaster, Greg Davies, or Mel Giedroyc. Also maybe you could do a special episode with your first agent 😁
He has an episode with James it is fantastic!
Love your interviews, and I’m a huge fan of Joe Lycett! 💜 Thank you!
How about Brydon Grooms. A show where each week you give one lucky pet a makeover?!
That could also be a Bachelor style dating show leading to marriage for the winners. Oh god, what have we started.
@@Elwaves2925 Or a documentary about Robs desire for kids! :O))
@@annother3350 You had to go there didn't you? Hahahaha!
@@Elwaves2925 Thats what the Police said to Rob!
Love these 'unplugged interviews.
I'm "seeing" Joe's show in Cardiff next month in April ("seeing" because I'm legally blind 🤦🏻♀️). I'm so excited and I think...Joe Lycett! 🤣🖤🏳️🌈
Two very funny, interesting, genuinely lovely people ❤👍
Rob, how many watches do you own? Clearly you are a watch guy. In almost every episode you are wearing a different brand. Very nice to see. Oh, yeah, good interview too :)
Comedians interviewing other comedians on all the podcasts is never going to get boring is it?
Thanks Rob, I didn't know who Victor Spinetti was, but now I know. ☺
Love me some Lycett
04:45 Heyyyyyyyy, Baby! (Joe Lycett like that) Joe Ly-cett like that. (Joe Lycett like that) He got soul, he got soul!
Another winner. Love these.
Love the Goodfellas impression at the start.

@@michelinerobinson7281 yeah I guess as there's been nothing else said about it it's best to assume it was just a joke. Still though.
Would be amazing if you guys did this sort of thing live on twitch and we could chat with you a bit would be so funny
Grand as owt!!!!! 😀
Just wondering what type of watch are you wearing? Looks quite nice
A live set with Joe Lycett. No need to cry yet. It's an evening with Joe Lycett. Give it a try yet, a gig with Joe Lycett?
Is Joe still called Hugo Boss ? Thank you Rob for being an amazing, Inspiring, and wonderful person. I hope you and your family are doing well.
Joe changed it back to Joe again shortly after the Hugo campaign 😊
Is it because it's Spotify exclusive that you're not allowed to publish the whole video?
Amazing how many sitcom actor/game show hosts think their stand up comedians these days when actually they're not.
Someone tell me: WHAT is that thing with the McDonald's logo on it?
as you Lycett.
Let me know when he eventually arrives.
"Today, we're looking at dressage. Welcome to Horse Brydon"
Rob is the love child of Frank Skinner and Anthony Dubeck.
Joe likes me, Everybody Lycetts me,
(Guess I'll go & eat worms...Oy Oy)
I Lycett, I Lycett...

He’s from Hall Green which is the same part of the city that Tony Hancock came from,
Cool beans
In a bit of honest self-reflection, Joe offers some insight into the dopamine trap ensnaring many an online virtue signaller.
Let me know when he gets there...
Does Joe have a McDonalds Black Card (which isn't black!)?!
I think Joe Lycett's pretty funny but he's gone right down in my estimation for not knowing who Victor Spinetti is.
As if Rob, David and Lee wouldn't swear.... Get off 😅
Nfm this one…..
Swearing is not funny just lame

Hey Rob Brydon, you should have interviewed a comedian or someone funny, maybe someone with some talent.
Joe Lycett is a very funny man and very talented
