meh...l think he sensationalizes sometimes...most all do for views...l watch my own radar app and its kept my family and l safe for several storm seasons. get a good radar app with watches and warnings...radar without the warnings is useless.

I’m in Florida - and I’ll tell you WHAT - it’s the calm BEFORE the storm. I can feel it. I’m in North Central and it’s HOTT. Was at the beach on the Atlantic coast - the ocean was like a lake - we were there for 6 days and when you can paddle board in the middle of the day, it’s STRANGE on the Atlantic coast. It was like the doldrums. Flat water and the water temperature is like warm bath water. We know something is coming and have a feeling that this storm season will be intense in the tropics. Getting a New generator installed in the next week or so.

@@kar460 usually happens in Caribbean and south - windless and very hot and stifling. Flat waters. Yuck - tough for actually sailing ships way back. Being stuck on a hot flat sea with no wind to lift the sails. I used that to describe what it reminded me of while we were on vacation this year. Flat, hot weather, no breeze, essentially no waves u til they broke on shore. It was interesting.

We need the rain in central Florida to break the severe drought conditions and bring our lawns back from the dead. 10”-15” of rain is exactly what we need after a dry spring and dry summer last year.

It’s been pretty decently far below average temperatures and has been 14°C/57.2°F this mid afternoon with fully cloudy the whole entire day in southern Ontario. South ga here and we are experiencing the same. No rain for months and then today we got a bad storm with golf ball sized hail and of course it annihilated my garden. Can’t win for lose.

Another FL. I have had rain once in the last month. Just north of me where I work, it has rained 3 times, and due west to where my parents are, it hasn't rained in over a month on their farm. I hope they finally get some rain.

The high pressure over the Ohio valley during hurricane season pulls Atlantic storms inland and makes for muggy, sticky hot weather where I live in central Ohio.
I’m from Southeastern Kentucky and have had my windows open all day, no air conditioning!! I love this weather! 😊
We finally got rain here in southern FL! We’ve been in such a bad drought, and have had too many dry summers in a row. Our well ran dry even, and that’s not a cheap fix. I was so happy to see the rain this morning! Glad to hear more is on the way!

Why haven't you talked about the UNWARNED tornado here in Michigan (Livonia) last week that killed a toddler? The weather service said it was because they had their radar system on a FOUR minute refresh time.
The tornado was on the ground for 9 minutes. Completely unwarned.
Why was a toddler out?

Yes there shall have 24 hours on call for all emergency involved, not just only during day. People on duty go home and get rest. Anything can happen so fast. Stupid of unwarned.

monday it was straight chilly at 71° high in southern ohio
Thanks to Ryan and his amazing storm chaser team, I've been up to date whenever the weather people dont talk about my area in missouri (southwestern) and he's helped my storm anxiety a little bit. I dont cry as often as i used too when tornadoes appeared and we even had strong rotation above my town this year at least once and i was absurdly calm as i hid in my parents closet. My mom says that I was calmer than she was and she was almost ready to pass out because of my dad being out and in the weather. Thankfully the energy of the storm went to the far southern storm that hit Aurora, but I wasnt scared and I was perpared for the worst. I just want to thank you again Ryan!

I used to visit my folks in Brooksville, FL. a lot. In the Summer, there was a big thunderstorm every evening. We called it the 5 O'Clock tornado. There was one there, once. It was an EF1, I saw it tear up someone's carport.
My temps are clocking 100° in Summit Mississippi as of 1pm

We’ve been in the upper 90’s for weeks. No rain. He doesn’t cover much of the awful weather here in ga. In a drought for months and then a bad storm of golf ball sized hail today. Crops were destroyed today.
