I moved here from California, so I can totally relate. Life is drastically different once you leave a state where socialism is the norm and freedom and the second amendment are honored and practiced. None of these are steam engines because everything here runs on gasoline. The steam engines didn't run until Saturday. You'd be amazed at how many steam engine shows there are within 100 miles of here over the summer and I attend at least 6 of those a year. My favorite show is a little show in Hickory, MO. Don't look for it on the map because the town of Hickory is long gone, but the locals have a steam engine show there. I rode there with a friend of mine who has a 1929 Model A.
