I have a 2019 Bolt Raven. I love it. I've been riding for over 50 years so it might be my last bike. It's too cold to ride now where I live. I'll be back in the wind in March. Good video on a sweet looking and sweet sounding Bolt.
I watched this from the beginning and didn't realize until 7:23 you are near Wakefield LOL. I'm in Clayton. I have a Bolt, not R spec I bought from Wake Forest Indian dealer. Love it. I have flat drag bars and a loud exhaust.
@@energywine The gauge is good, and it has a lot of functions. If you like the look, go for it. You will need to get the relocation bracket to mount it like mine.
I am 6'1" and it is a little cramp but I don't look too bad sitting on it, it doesn't look like I'm on a mini bike or like I am doing a slav crouch. There are forward controls kit online that move the foot controls forward 6 inches, not really forward but it makes it more proper mid controls.
It was a random person’s bike I met at the Kawasaki event, so the only way I would be able to tell you anything is what the guy talked about in the video. I didn’t get his number but he was pretty cool so that’s why he offered to let me ride it for the channel.
Oh okay. Yeah I can see that then. This area was more of a urban environment, I have some more rural type videos from mountains to lakes and beaches if you would like to browse through my other ones!
Is that the intake making that hissing noise? On multiple videos you can hear that but nobody seems to mention or comment on it. That would annoy me for sure haha.
Haven’t tried a vmax but going by specs, it’s in a completely different tier and more in line with the new Harley Sportster S than the Bolt would be. Depends on how long you have been riding I guess. If you want something to just cruiser on and don’t need a ton of power then the bolt is a great option.

How’s the bolt been since you commented this?
@@ananiahg9069 It still runs like new.
@@dangunn6961love to hear that Sir. Have a blessed day :)
His bike is BEAUTIFUL 👍🏾👍🏾
It's pretty good looking for sure.

Nice! Yeah this was a bonus ride I got to do after making friends with a guy at the Kawasaki demo event. I actually stay near Wilmington
I am the owner of the bike. Let me know if you want to ride with other bolt riders
@@ramx2989 love the gauge, was it the ~$350 one I've been seeing around? You liking it?

Beautiful bike man
Glad the guy let me ride it!
Is the side air box in the way of your leg? It looks like it would be
It did protrude out a bit but being that it’s been quite awhile since I rode it, I really can’t remember tbh.
Been looking at these but have to go see how it feels being 6’4”. Nice video man thanx for the info
Thanks for watching!

If you put forward controls on it and ape hangers, you'd be comfortable
6'5" and I love mine
Im 6'2" sit comfortable with aftermarket seat and midheight bars
Not the standard gauge, but that is a popular aftermarket option because the standard looks a bit average and underwhelming
Right. There was a lot of aftermarket mods on this bike so I wasn’t familiar with what was stock and what wasn’t.
Didn't catch if the exhaust was mentionned but I like its sound and was wondering if it was maybe the cobra ? Looks like it.
No problem, yeah it was a Cobra. Had a great sound to it.
Sounds great!
Indeed!
What brand is the riser? Love the way it looks must be comfortable.
Do you need to buy longer break wires to compensate for the risers?

The bars are Yamaha's mini apes and yes you do need extenders for the brake, clutch and throttle cables.
what bars is he running? anyone know?
Yamaha mini apes I believe. They seem hard to find though.
What a beautiful landscape. As I live in Spain, I envy you :(
Spain has some amazing looking countryside! Do you live in a city?
@@BlackRiverRider Kind of, I live in a housing development near a big city. But no comparison, this is way way drier.

@@BlackRiverRider Yeah sure! Thanks!
HI. Its an Yamaha genuine Handlebar? The tall bar?
I believe they are Yamaha’s Mini Apes
Can you see the bar end mirrors?
Yeah, The camera angle is different than where my eyes are
Got a tapping sound. It seems a valves adjustment is needed
Most likely

I think you’re right. It did sound distinctly different than the exhaust but wasn’t overbearing. Almost sounds like a turbo in a way lol.
Yep it's the intake, my 2014 Bolt R-Spec has the V&H V02 intake and it hisses at well.
Handle bar cool.

Do you know what was done to the gas cap to make it black? Plasti dip, paint or powder coated?
I have no idea honestly.
@@BlackRiverRider no worries still appreciate the response, great job on the video!
Hey! I am the bike owner, I plasti dipped it has about 4 coats. Wait till it dries up completely to add the other coats.
Help me decide between this one and a VMAX 1200 , than you

What general area is this?
This was in Wake Forest, NC
@@BlackRiverRider Thanks.
And the gauge? What brand it that?
Responded on your other comment.
Koso. I have the same one.
sound is much better than harley one's...especially sound of high rpm is the best.
It does have a great sound to it. It’s hard for it to beat certain Harley engine sounds but for what it is it’s very nice.

Stupid place to mount mirrors. Not too safe and ugly sticking out from the bars. Sorry it's a fail. Bike sounds good however.
To each their own, motorcycles are a subjective thing so everyone has their ideal image of what it should be. Thanks for watching.
