-Would you visit another italian city?
I'm afraid I can't. Since I left Argentina, I didn't rest for a single moment. The programs in Spain was very tiring...
-Do you have some words for the women of Italy?
In name of all the argentine women whom I represent, mainly my dear descamisadas, I send them fraternal greetings, and an embrace of a sister. We are women of the People, and I'm bringing a message of Peace for all the Countries. The Argentine Republic seeks the Social Justice and the happiness of the People through the Work of all.

Do you mean before she adopted the iconic bun hairstyle and dress suits? Correct. Before that, she was very extravagant and found that it made people not take her as seriously as she wanted. The change of look helped get her closer to the vice presidency. However, the notion of a woman in such a position of power was too much for the military and they successfully kept her from achieving that goal. That and also her cancer which began to manifest not long after.

She definitely was not a beautiful woman. She seemed to be somewhat insecure.

I know what you mean. I remember the very first time I saw pictures of Eva Peron, I was disappointed and actually recall saying out loud that she was very homely-looking. I was around 16 years old at the time and not the shallow type so I know that assessment came from a sincere place.
However, she has grown on me over the years and I now think she was actually a beautiful woman. At first, her very ordinary features stand out as well as her imperfect nose. Even her smile looked odd when I first saw pictures of her. I felt she had somewhat of an overbite. Some people's looks require one to get to know them better for them to become visually attractive. Many real-world examples of that exist. I'm sure you've seen couples where either the man or woman or both are not immediately perceived as beautiful and you wonder what they see in the other or each other. While they likely did not fall in love at first sight, they fell in love after becoming acquainted with each other.
While I've never been in love with Eva Peron (impossible as a gay man, lol), I've been fascinated with her life and her personality enough over the years that it has opened up another perspective, and while I still don't see mainstream beauty in her, she is definitely beautiful in a more realistic and ordinary way which is what real beauty is and is definitely not what you see in Hollywood. Her best era was when she adopted the bun and dress suits. That look made her look gorgeous all the time. She is also a great example of someone who can be mainstream beautiful in certain angles and be homely and not a standout in other angles. Looking through pictures of her on sites like Pinterest where one can find countless of them, you will find yourself thinking she looks beautiful in half the pictures and not beautiful in the other half and you'll begin to notice which angles are her best and worst. The one thing that to me is undoubtedly beautiful about her even if at first I didn't think so is her beautiful smile.
And I say all of this as not one of her biggest fans knowing some of the things she did were not good and never will be good. At the same time, her love of her people and the poor is undeniably a very admirable thing about her as she literally sacrificed herself working endlessly for them and only them.

Even if she was an ugly figure and not a Barbie, she was a woman of the people. In no way shape or form an ordinary woman. At 25 years old, not a single or married woman in the 1940s United States, England or France had became a leaderess for women rights on a massive grass roots political party. Even as today, women in the USA don't enjoy free healthcare or social justice. They still had to struggle. Even in the US they prefer war to support a patriarcal political system of all against all, including women against women. So what is the need to have a negative opinion on Eva for her looks. And insecure? Do you think an "insecure" woman could be a torn for strong oligarchs as Eva was?
