What we need to first do is try to get to the bottom of their behaviors. Like with neurotypicals, people on the Autism Spectrum behave in certain ways because they are trying to communicate something, such as a need or desire that is not being met. Here are a few examples.
    Snitching on others:
The person might be tired of feeling like the only person who ever gets in trouble.
The person is sick of people thinking that they are the only ones who do not always follow rules or social norms.
    Correcting others:
The person might be sick of feeling like they are the only ones who are expected to follow certain rules or social niceties.

Don't you think that it's more likely that they've learned the rules, and when they see someone not following those rules, they take steps to make them follow the rules! Unfortunately, they don't realize that this is seen as unfriendly, and will damage friendships.

@@er6730 in some cases. I can remember when I was a teen/tween, and I would feel like it was unfair if my parents let my brother (2 years younger than me, and non-disabled) off more readily than I was at the same age. This was because I recalled when I was younger, and adults used to explain fairness as everybody getting one cupcake. We also are SICK AND TIRED of people acting like we are the only ones who don't follow social rules.

@@leannestrong1000 I agree, if anything it’s the neurotypicals breaking the rules and the autistics being told to be “more flexible.”

How come the most honest people are considered to have the worst social skills
I had a hard time fitting in but as i got older I could never figure out why the school system fucked with so many kids heads so much confusion. Kids with autism are the most empathetic kids out there when I was in pre-school I saw kids cry I would cry, Autism is a gift and so so so misunderstood

In elementary school, i used to talk to the kids in special education classes cause they were so nice to me. The other kids used to bully me. Now im studying for my behavior analyst exam.

To search for this type of programs under what topic do I look for it? I can only find schools or only for children on the spectrum.
