I made this pasta today and have to say its the best pasta i ever made. Besides tasting ridicoulusly good, it is eye pleasing (green from the parsley and red of the chilli) and has a pretty nice sauce consistency. I can recommend this 100%

just did a very similar recipe, if you want to go the extra mile blend the head and shells with the stock and then pass it through a six to get that extra shrimp taste
I just make stock using bouillon powder and I cook pasta in pot with stock. I hate using too many pans. I add the head and shells in to to extract flavor

Not mandatory, but they simply season and enhance the flavour, you don't taste the anchovies at all.
