I once managed to get along for two days with $100 as a low budget tourist in NYC including hostel, street food, subway tickets and the entrance fee for MOMA.
The bonus of walking everywhere is burning off all of the calories of the amazing food in NYC

Just owning a bike in NYC could save you money on transit, save you money on a gym membership, travel at your own pace, and not risk the dangers of the subway.

I have visited many times in New York City and lived there, too. I never have any problem in the subways … the stairs in subways can be tiring but that’s it!
I met this wonderful guy at the rooftop bar when he was filming this and he gave me wonderful suggestions on where to go in NYC. Absolutely enjoyed bumping into you, Brett! Ps. The museum down the street was great! :)
New york: where people are fine with paying 3000$ rent and 10$ for a coffe, but complain about 1.50$ pizza
That is why it is nice to have family and friends in cities, and be on good terms with them . You can stay with them to save money on lodging.
In Shanghai you get a Corona on a fancy rooftop bar for around 3-4 dollars. Also rent a bike for a day is 3 dollars.
honestly man youre videos are cool and extremely entertaining one thing i have to say and its been in my mind since ive been watching your videos is that you truly show off the touristic version of nyc , i enjoyed your video where you went to queens and flushing because there is so much to nyc other than manhattan plus all the real culture is outside manhattan

Last summer I did the very same thing for each day of my visit! $100 per day. I was impressed how I was able to spread it through the day. Planning on coming back for the holiday season 2022
My favorite thing about NYC are all the neighborhoods and shops, showing people what the locals like to do vs the big tourist hotspots is so fun. You do an awesome job doing just that in every video. Nice!

Brett , another great video! Years ago I had a charge on my credit card statement for a $100 for a hotel room in New York city. I called capital one and asked them where in New York city can you get a hotel room for that much. This was about twenty years ago.
