John Moreland has heard enough negative shots at his weight, let's just put out our best wishes that he gets healthy and keeps making great music. Even if he is only known by a few people his words can make a difference to more people than any of those who shame him. I hope the best for him and all those who support him. He is really a beautiful man, if you listen to what he sings, you will see it too, once you drop your judgement on his appearance.

John Moreland is amazing. I saw him live at a coffee shop in Texas. Took my breath away. I hope he is still doing well and playing! I have two of his CDs... I listen to them frequently.
I came upon this song one night when I couldn’t sleep. Replaying the last three years of a living nightmare that I have lived. Your voice is my go to. Your voice and your songs help bring me back from despair. My son died three years ago and I found him. I am no longer the same person. I died the minute my son did.....my son had so many secrets that he kept from us but he found his strength and his voice in the minutes before his death. My brother stole something from him at the age of five and when confronted by my sons words in a letter I found after his death. I watched as my parents and sister turned their backs. I heard I can’t believe your doing this.... I just walked away. They told me there was no such things as monsters they lied to me as a child cause there are monsters. They are my family. My family that I thought would do the right thing. They are the real monsters. They are hiding right beneath our noses. I refuse to stay silenced about my son truths. I will fight for justice for my son just the same if he were still alive as I am in his death.

Never been to Tulsa and probably never will. Yet, sitting in my livingroom and listening to this it feels like I'm there right now, in a summer night, under a clear sky next to the one true love I never really had..
The first time I heard this man was this morning. He played "You Don't Love Me Enough To Cry" and comments were disabled. Whoa, Fuck! that song blew me away! I listened to it several times and made everyone here check it out. I haven't learned yet if he was the writer but he sang and played it as he owned it. Why have I not heard of this man! Thank you for uploading it!

My fellow tulsa people! Tulsa is like this hidden small city gem surrounded by miles and miles of emptiness... I love this small city so much. The friendly people. The good beer and food. Cherry Street is my home!
Been here for about 5 years now... Something like that .. anywho... This right here... Plenty of days left on repeat... Thank you John... Thank you... That's all I gotta say...

Hang me in the Tulsa County stars
Meet me where I land if I slip and fall too far
Hang me in the Tulsa County stars
I don't want to come back down to earth
No, I don't want to come back down to earth
My heart is growing heavy from the ever-endless hurt
So I don't want to come back down to earth
And babe, I know this life will make you cold and leave you mad
Make you homesick for a home you never had
Burning out the good with all the bad
So darling let the charmers leave the room
They're drowning out the Nashville moon
I want to learn exactly who you are
Then hang me in the Tulsa County stars
Find me in the Indian Nation sky
You can find me in the Indian Nation sky
When it feels like nothing's real and no one's standing on your side
Just find me in the Indian Nation sky
I'd set ablaze the secrets I'd concealed
I'd set ablaze the secrets we conceal
If I could make you feel the way you make me feel
I'd set ablaze the secrets we conceal
And babe, I know this world will have the wolves outside your door
Make you leave all that you love to fight a war
And never tell you what you're dying for
So, darling, let the charmers leave the room
Let them have that Nashville moon
I want to know exactly who you are

..... public declarations of love, sadness and living through it all, done honestly and well.
i just want to reach to John Moreland. Just to let him know, he touched my soul with his song. That's all i have to say. Thank you John. i love your music!
"homesick for a home you never had" that resonated with my core, the depth!
Just stumbled in here.. Damn glad I did.. (~):}
SAME.
His sound just breaks my heart. It’s so pure and beautiful. I’ve just started liking country music again since I was a little girl. His music moves me and breaks or maybe fixes something inside me. He is my favorite.
Thank you for Following my page , Thoughtful, loving, goal oriented, along with sense of humor. I love to laugh and smile.....
Literally one of the greatest American artist of all time
I’m a british Bangladeshi and this music hits so hard, why is there so much rubbish out there being played on the radio while music like this no one has even heard of. I’m a lifetime fan of this type of music now thank you youtube algorithms.

When I’ve had a drink or two I always type in John moorland as it’s the closest thing to spiritual you can get in this crazy world. What a talent.🙂
Not musical but I like to listen to Alan Watts because it's music to my soul. 😊
this man wow, could listen all day forever...yes he has that gift...
I remember when I use to listen to John Moreland basically everyday but I never knew that deeply inside I was listening to him as a way to cope with a break up that happened years ago. Looking back, his songs really did help me get through some tough times
The lyrics are incredible John you deserve so much more ❤
Never been to Tulsa and probably never will.
Yet, sitting in my livingroom and listening to this it feels like I'm there right now, in a summer night, under a clear sky next to the one true love I never really had..
Why did it take me nearly five years to stumble upon this gem?
I am looking forward to some catching up :)
Beautiful voice.Made me cry.Reminded me of my Mom.She loved songs like this.
I find it equally impressive that he fingerpicks the whole song with only his thumb and index finger
I’m a metal head but I come to this song as guilty pleasure and I promise you it’s musical therapy
You just made my lady cry, hell of a voice
Beautiful music that touches your soul... The world needs more of this.
That young man was given a gift from god. Beautiful.
Leave you homesick for a home you never had...
I felt this in my soul.
I just sat and tried to breath normal...I feel lucky to have found this artist and honestly, I am just so deeply impacted that it is hard to find words. Thank You!
4.3 million views!? Jeez. No reason John shouldn't make it to the top. He's as good a singer & songwriter as anyone today.
Holly ****. Just left auto play on and this gem pops up and leaves me sobbing over people and places I knew I lost and left but didn't truly know how much I missed. Amazing.
This song made my eyes tear up. Such a beautiful song.
Idk why UA-cam decided to recommend me a unknown performer from 4 years ago but DAMN AM I HAPPY ABOUT IT.
John Moreland provokes emotions in me I never realised I had as well as soothes my soul. What a great storyteller you are.

This man's heartfelt song backed up with gentle picking really good
