Hi peeps, we hope you're ready for this episode as we will be heading to 2 Michelin starred Dinner by world renowned Chef Heston Blumenthal, the proprietor of world best restaurant The Fat Duck! We will be savouring Dinner's medieval focused English Cuisine that's reimagined for the modern palate & of course also sample Chef Heston's Triple Cooked Chips, literally the best chip in the world! Buckle up foodies, this is going to be a fun ride! P.S: This episode is quite a tough episode to edit and it took us double the time compared to our other episodes (we also sold our soul to the devil for this...), we hope you would indulge us by watching it in 4K with your headphones on for best viewing experience :) In the spirit of keeping us on our toes & further improving on our videos, here are our thoughts on this episode from a technical perspective: We felt this is our best vlog to date, we've filmed it relatively well & the flow of the video was rather smooth with matching music to boot! Wei Loon was quite pleased with the opening montage too! Perhaps only gripe was with the sound quality during our Lunch at Dinner as there was an unexpected light 'echo' throughout the segment, perhaps from the bouncing of the noises on the walls behind us. We will improve on that in the future.
I enjoyed this vlog a lot! Awesome teaser and footage of the food and Natural History Museum. The dishes from Dinner looks amazing, I remember watching Chef Heston cook on TV when I was young, time flies
Hello Jian Cheng 👋, great to see you again! You are too kind & we are glad you liked this episode! Yes, we watched Chef Heston cook too, albeit on UA-cam haha!
Amazing video again! The production value is unreal 😊Altough the food is probably really good and some of the best quality, the prices are just plain crazy for me personally.. This was what? Probably around 150 pounds or something. But I understand you wanted to experience it ofcourse 😉
Hello Bart 👋, awesome to see you again 😁! Glad you’ve enjoyed this episode & thank you for the kind words! ☺️ It is rather expensive but we think it’s worth every penny considering the execution of the dishes, presentation, environment & service 😆 See you in our next vlog!
Great video, when i went i also found the cod to be cooked perfectly but tasteless and the vegetables of the cod dish were amazing. But I had to return the dish to the kitchen and tried the other fish dish and it too was tasteless. Just don't order fish there. Tipsy cake is a must try and saffron starter with beef. If you ever go to poland you should try Farina in krakow/Fiorentina great restaurants
Hello Yasha, thanks for the recommendations for Poland! Will keep them in mind for when we get the chance to visit! Also glad you've enjoyed this episode & we'll see you in the next one! 😉
so they changed the halibut in green sauce they used to have for cod? The leavy greens are indeed kale, the sauce is very complex and made of green chilis and pepper, eucalyptus, parsley, green coffee and garlic butter. The salmon trout with the relish is normally with wood sorrell and Exmoor caviar with a sauce made of garlic cooked in milk, mayo and anchovis. This thin puff pastry layer is extremly difficult to make. Very nice up-to-date episode. Normally they show you the menu und may film it next time? Regards
Wow thank you so much for sharing this info with us! Always great to learn more about the dishes we had 😋! Out of curiosity, do you happen to be in the culinary industry as well? Your knowledge in this field is rather impressive & we look forward to learn more from you! 😉 Glad you’ve enjoyed this episode & we hope to see you in the next one!
Well I am a foodie at heart, though my bad health has now limited my travels and I cook the dishes/cuisines I have falling in love with at home now and discover new ones through the eyes of others because I cannot (re)live it otherwise anymore 😢. Thank you for your effort ❤️
Oh Katrin, we’re so sorry to hear that…hope our food adventures will provide you with some enjoyment 🥲. We look forward to learning more from you in the future! ☺️
*Whispers* Come to the ‘duck’ side… Ooookay, hope that joke worked… The Fat Duck - Duck side, heheh😝… seriously though, time to visit Dinner! Glad you’ve enjoyed this vlog & we hope to see you in the next one! 😆
Oh uh…You’re right…perhaps heavenly things must always have a draw back… That said, we aren’t well equipped with sufficient knowledge to comment on how much acrylamide is in a twice fried chip compared to the regular ones 😗 Hope you’ve enjoyed this vlog & we look forward to seeing you in the next one!
Hi there 👋, we’re still around but stuff happened in real life and we have a baby daughter now so we are on a hiatus 😅. We do intend to get back to filming food vlogs (it’s Wei Loon’s calling) but aren’t quite sure when, fingers crossed it wouldn’t be later than next year 😉 Hope you’ll stick around and we’ll see you in our other vlogs!

Thank you! That’s Wei Loon’s favourite shirt hahaha! It’s a cartoon character from the Japanese animation Spirited Away 😉
The shirt is awesome!! 🙂👍
Looking forward to more vlogs! Excellent production 👍👍
You need to order the ice cream at the end of the video or it is a service?
Hi there, at the time of filming it was complimentary 😉

Blumenthal’s crunchy chips are indeed heavenly, but so are the acrylamides present in them.

The sound of you biting into that fry…!!! 😮😢
*crunch* *crunch* 😝
