I definitely appreciate how you try to reach out to every group in your videos. You've done dramatic, natural, inexpensive, high end... videos. You have tutorials to suit everyone! I always recommend your channel to newcomers here on youtube since you make videos for such a wide range of people. Thanks!
hey elle! i have been watching your videos for quite a while and have seen your tutorials in many different locations with different lighting, and this is by far the best lighting!
the lighting in this video is perfect!!! and thank u for having the camera zoomed in on ur face more. the lighting and the zoom make it way easier to see what u r doing! :D
Great video Elle! The lighting was the best you've ever had and the best I think I've ever seen in a makeup tutorial video. You just can't beat good old daylight! Wet n Wild has surprisingly great lip glosses. I bought their Mega Plump gloss for 3.99 and the quality was very similar to your Spell glosses. It was very smooth and silky and has cinnamon flavor.
it's good to see what someone used to better brands thinks of drugstore stuff, and how it looks on you! great video & lighting :) i love watching your videos! keep it up :D
hey, thank you soo much for showing us how to do this look, i really love it.. its simple enough for me to do everyday n its not harsh or too much. also i just wanted to say that your hair looks really nice n healthy in this video so could you do an everyday hair video which shows what products you use and how u do your hair. and what products you would recommend for people who have frizzy hair and loads of split ends.. thankx
This is the most flattering make up you've done on yourself - very pretty :) Maybelline's Full 'n' Soft mascara is definitely one of the best drugstore mascaras - try the non-waterproof one - it's beautiful. Staple of mine since I started wearing mascara!
can you do a bunch of back to school looks for hair, face, and makeup and stuff? not just for older girls, but like middle school and high school? awesome look! its sooo pretty!! :)
Elle, you should try the CG eyeshadow quad that is dark brown, bronze, gold, and matte cream. That is my absolute FAVORITE drugstore eyeshadow and I have been using it for YEARS. The bronze and gold are particularly nice for blue eyes... you should check it out!
love the look Elle :) i love the idea of using a blue liner with neutral shadows, and it looks so good on you! I think i'm going to have to get that trio. i'm going away to Hawaii in the holidays and this look seems perfect for the beach! thanks again xx
Before I got into higher end makeup, I used that very trio for a long time and it is very nice (esp looks great on you!) The BEST drugstore eyeshadow though, are those Revlon Colorstay quads. I still have them in my old makeup case :)
This was so much fun! Could you PLEASE do more tutorials like this?? I know you said you don't use drugstore eye shadows that much but this was so helpful! I enjoyed this so much, I think this is one of your most helpful videos! Even though I like to buy MAC it's to see what's out there. And I don't have covergirl here but still, I will go to florida next summer so it' snice to know what to buy! =)
I think you asked about eye creams in a recent video...? I have heard alot of good things about the Korres Olive and Rye eye cream. It lightens...and helps with circulation. I also use the Garnier eye roller, to massage the undereyes. And it's cooling/has caffeine in it.
thanks elle! could you maybe make a video for everyday school looks for highschoolers? thanks soo much that would really really really help..or could you just suggest some products that i could use? thanks so much elle:)
I love the Maybelline Full N Soft mascara. It feels so light on my eyes and natural and I love that. Plus I find it holds my curls well too. I actually have an eyeshadow trio by Maybelline that's very similar to the CG one you used. I got it a long time ago though. Either way the colors are great. Nice and natural with a hint of shimmer. Great tutorial
i have a CG quad with 3 of the same colors if not similar and one thats slightly lighter than what you used in the crease so i did this look right away and i LOVE it!! thank you!!!
Its nice to see you do a tutorial with affordable products since most of your viewers are younger high school girls and like me a poor college student who cant afford 15 bucks for an eye shadow from MAC. Also, I recently purchased my 88 palette from coastal scents and I'd love to see you do more tutorials with that since a lot of people own it.
The lighting is awesome... and i really love this look althought i am starting my mac/costal scents collentions right now.... i might go out and buy this.. love it
thanks for posting this...I love drugstore products as well as dept store...always nice to know which DGS products are worth it and which brands are tried and true! thanks!
i just bought tranquil sands and i love the look... i did have to darken it with another brown for the outer v. but otherwise it is a really great trio! thanks so much elle!
i honestly love your make-up collection and i just started watching your videos yesterday. i was wondering if you went to a make-up class? if so, how was it i am going to start a make-up class and start doing airbrush. please i would love your input!
I know that, since I watch a lot of your videos :p. Sorry if I was rude. But this is the best lighting you have for a tutorial so far, I really really like it. And no one has perfect skin :).
CG trios are amazingly pigmented, rather sparkly/shimmery ish, but it shows up even on my dark skin. I mix it with a few shades from my other palettes and it works amazingly. As for the almay - I use the smart shade foundation. It works best if you have a cool undertone I think, but its really sheer and helps even out my skin.
omg i bought the eyeshadow and i LOVE IT thank you so much i have been getting lots of complements i m so glad u did this cause i have always been looking for a good eyeshadow that would go with what im wearing and this go's with everything u rock !!!!!!! ♥ xoxoxo
im not sure if its just the lighting, but it feels like i can see more. like as in, i can see more detail of the skin, etc. and this isnt even in HQ ! love the look though its too bad i cant find jordana in canada
i love cover girl shadows i got everyone of the trios and the single ones too my favorite color is champagne you should try that also wet and wild makeup remover is amazing its eye makeup remover
COOL :))) this kinda looks the ur blue lagoon look but affordable which is awesome! the taupe looks very much like satin taupe i am so getting this palette

i am in love with the covergirl trios .
The lighting looked good here. Thanks for doing a few of these more inexpensive, everyday looks!
i think its great that you do drugstore, natural kind of looks as well as mac, nars etc tutorials. Really enjoyin them :) x
Elle ... love the lighting! It seems like it really shows the real color of the makeup and tone of your skin.
AHHH!! I've been using the Shimmering Sands palette for YEARS! I'm so happy to see you like it too!

I love the lighting because it's natural, which allows us to see what it will look like when we go outside. =)
Elle, natural lighting is always better than flourescent, or whatever. Worked perfectly.
The lighting is perfect! The colors are true and of course, you look gorgeous. Love you!
i use the smart shade blush i like to use it after a tinted moisterizer if i am going to the beach because it is so light, great look elle :)

not just for older girls, but like middle school and high school? awesome look! its sooo pretty!! :)
i really love how this this look turned out
its so nice of you to take into consideration your viewers who can't afford higher end make up
:]
The lighting is really good - i don't know if its that but the camera focusses really well, which i don't always see in the rest of the vids.
this is really close to my normal everyday neutral look:) looooove that trio!
Elle, you should try the CG eyeshadow quad that is dark brown, bronze, gold, and matte cream. That is my absolute FAVORITE drugstore eyeshadow and I have been using it for YEARS. The bronze and gold are particularly nice for blue eyes... you should check it out!

Its nice to see you do a tutorial with affordable products since most of your viewers are younger high school girls and like me a poor college student who cant afford 15 bucks for an eye shadow from MAC.
