That monologue alone was Oscar worthy, the fact that he didn’t even get nominated is one of the biggest mistakes in Oscar history
he literally conquers her
"And the last thing I want, Nina, is for you to do the things I ask you to do when we're alone together in your apartment. Not like the last time." .... omg what a scene.
I tell you if Louis Bloom and Patrick Bateman ever got in business together, they'd literally be killing the competition.
From the point he says "I'm not done" until he sighs...part of me thinks he might kill her.
What staggers me with this scene is the speed. It's like a freaking tennis match back and forth between them until it finishes with Lou delivering a machine gun of words.
Imagine him negotiating with Rick from pawnstars 😂
Lou’s just asserting his dominance.
I love, how he is so far away but encloses on the viewer completely engaging our focus. I thought for a moment he was gona step out of the screen and directly talk to me. Such brilliant performance.
The fact that she doesn't tell him to fuck right off at the end is one of the saddest parts of this film.
It literally looks like he’s growing and slowly taking over her. Magnificent cinematography
Louis Bloom never gets pissed unless you try to take his bargaining power!
And THAT right there is a textbook psychopathic behavior. Utterly incapable of remorse or empathy, yet cunning and clever as selfish desires are often the best motivators.

Jake gyllenhaal barely even blinking just makes this so much more creepy to watch fucking fantastic acting
The way he says things in that slightly robotic way like “so what do you say do we have a deal” with no pause
Best scene in the entire movie I think. Best line "Not like the last time"! Cracks me up every time.
I get how people may think acting is easy but I defy any person who thinks that to try and be Lou Bloom. That is a seriously difficult character, I have no earthly idea how Jake was able to create that, he is a seriously under-credited actor. One of the best of this era
This was legit the most powerful monologue I have ever watched in any movie whatsoever. This was so amazing, you literally feel overwhelmed by his presence. Just before he says „i am not done“ you think alright this is almost over, but then he keeps on going on even harder and like damn.
This is Lou’s “I am the danger” moment
