    I love how you show the underside. This is exactly how my projects turn out and I have berated myself for not having a flat bottom! I need to learn to embrace a little "cellulite" in my creations as in my booty.

    This is the one medium and technique I've wanted to try since high school, like 20+ years. First major "want" and not "need" I will get when we move is a kiln....sigh. This is just beautiful, beautiful...

    I love this piece! Can I use "tempered glass" instead of frits? Thank you so much!

    • @CristinaSchnellboegl
      @CristinaSchnellboegl  Місяць тому

      @@reginefeuer321 you can’t mix glass with different COE. You may need to use tempered glass for the whole piece. And the temperature will be different. Lower COE need more heat.

    No firing schedule?
    You can go higher in toptemp with no frit and with no gaps. And you don’t need the ring of felt 🙂

    • @CristinaSchnellboegl
      @CristinaSchnellboegl  4 роки тому +4

      Firing schedule is in the comments and in the description. I wanted to have structure and NOT a full fuse. You need the ring, otherwise it would loose the shape. The finished piece is about 1cm in thickness

    How thick is the glass? I'm fairly new at this, and I'm wondering about the long hold times.
