How to remove white space around a table in Word

How do you remove space between two tables on top of each other? If I remove a new line, it just merges the tables which isn't what I want.

I have a table that ends near the bottom of the page. This happens to be the last page of the document. Word keeps adding a paragraph at the end of the table, which causes a blank page at the end - which I cannot seem to remove.
Ideas?
