Thank you so much it really means a lot.
The place was build by MC Webb, a local bridge builder, and they trained Standardbred horses for harness racing which you could see up at the Red Mile in Lexington on the weekends. The round house was housing for the head trainer, the upstairs apartment was MCs own little space when he wanted to stay at the farm or after a night of drinking. If you look at the pics in the bar top, you will find MC. He did the bar top himself. At the time he owned many of the houses down the road next the farm as well. He was different in a good way. You would have never known he had any real money and was just a good old southern boy. Many great memoires at that barn in my younger years.
Love this place!! It would make a great rescue/ rehabilitation, training place! Not only for equine, but for people also! So many possibilities with it's location!
My bother in law worked at a horse farm the guy was a bridge builder everything he constructed was solid
Some of those cute rooms might have been for Tack, Grain and equine vet supplies.
Some people build homes just to have a roof over their head. Some guys build homes that cover their head and provide for defense. I'd wager this was built for defense against everything.
That’s not all bad you gotta get ready for anything these day lol
Probably holds up well in fires and High winds
I love this, I have a child that lives in Paris, would love for me to move up there , I see this has a lot of potential, they love horses and have a few, but I like this and I'm in Shreveport Louisiana, we have a race track here called Louisiana Downs, I would love to see this and ask questions.
My family sells pipe , valves, fittings and steel. When we added more office space a few years ago, it was close to the Railroad tracks. Vibration would have destroyed normal ways of building, so, like this barn, our office is concrete, steel, quite a few I beams… 24 years later, it’s as good as when it was first built! Even the 2nd floor is concrete…
I love this Kentucky home!
My guess on the concrete is it’s tornado resistant. Just a guess.
Good guess
Thats a valid point, I didn't even think of that
That place would be great if someone wanted to start a business that provided riding classes, hosts equine party events, stall rentals, and/or stable services for people in the area (like the people in those upscale lake homes nearby or in Lexington...if it were me; I'd keep a few horses myself, rent the rest of the stalls...possibly even convert a couple of the "corner" rooms into little studio-style quarters for equine trainers, caretakers, or overnight B&B guests to stay in!
Yes i wand to see the 🏡 ween you i have. Time to shomee the property
@@corneliopadilla675 i wish it were.
They don’t have hurricanes in Kentucky, but they might get the winds just as Indiana does, tornadoes you have to worry about, this is a beautiful place, I’d love to have it
Turn it into a Swap Meet. It's right off the freeway. Plenty of room outside, in the barn and security.
Rumor has it that if you are quiet you can still hear Brad whispering "it has good bones" in the wind
Lol
Excentric place, that is for sure. And it will outlast our great-great-grandchildren. 🙂
I love these extraordinary places.
You never told us why they build the round barns, @Brad Simmons .
The finest and most beautiful houses inside large and excellent trees, thank you very much

Brad, how many horse stalls are there?
@8Truth Seeking What are you talking about? it has 21 acres!
@@piedpiper7051 the barn has 24 stalls and a wash stall - most will need some work to make the stalls 'livable'. some very little work needed. What is the address for this abandoned horse property please? Is this property on the cumberland plateau?
@@ip4157 It is in Danville, KY. Ken will know a bunch more about this property - call or text Ken 859-494-5521
I think it just awesome. A little work and it could be a really nice "horse house". I really like it.
It definitely has great bones. If one gutted it the possibilities are endless 😜. There's one thing about it the place would withstand nearly anything. You said it best it's built like a tank.
I like this place because its in a beautiful part of the country.
He was so into horses that he wanted to be with them like Mr. Ed house. I get him.
Western Horseman is still around, Brad!
Hey Brad, you need to talk about the hurricaine g force this building can handle.
I love it! Wish you had toured the tiny house. Nice tour, thanks!
Love the place sent my info in hope they call. If I get the place will work on fixing it up and will definitely get you guys invited to the BBQ party!!! 😊👍
I've been a subscriber for a little while now I live in Spain and I'm originally from Florida that's an amazing piece of property living just above where your horses are that's a dream come true in Switzerland most of the barn houses are like that I live there for 7 years my wife is from Switzerland and I'm a lost soul from Cuba but your channel is amazing I love how you explain everything and how you show the property around I don't have 400,000 but man one Dream Home that's a business of itself I can see that full of horses I'll keep that bar the same way That 70's look if those walls can talk thank you so much God bless you as well as your family and friends these videos are awesome watching all the way from Spain peace out you got to carry a small towel so you can wipe yourself down when you're all sweaty😁👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻❤️❤️❤️✌️✌️✌️✌️✌️
We are 2 carpenters living together and feel like this could be an AWESOME investment... We love eating fish every day if possible, is there a small lake or a creek ? This place has every thing we are looking for ...
If I was younger, I'd probably seriously consider this place, bring it back as a place to train horses, or raise livestock.
It needs a LOT of care, upgrades and maintenance, but if the concrete was done right, it would cost several million dollars to do that today. After the building collapse in Florida, I'm sure that's going to deter many people. They didn't used to think much about rebar and such being sealed to stop rust.
This reminds me of some of the urbex videos of abandoned properties.
the Miami condo has salt water infiltration problems
Missing the creepy music
It doesn't need any upgrades. If some idiot thinks it needs "upgrades"
they are #1 ruining the house and #2 - dont know how to live.
Nice indoor training track . Love the Barn
One was a tack room. Nice place, plenty of promise to it.
Marin what a steel I paid more than that for my horse ranch California At 3 houses But it can't even meet that What a beautiful place
This dude is HILARIOUS! 😂 me and my 10 yr old daughter are laughing our asses off
I’m a builder/ property investor in fl and I just want to tell you that your are the bomb, fantastic content and you always steel the show, well done, if I ever need anything in your neck of the woods I’ll look you up and buy the beer, thx for sharing
Wow, a horse barn with an apartment and bar above it. I love it. All those small rooms are for storage of stock for the bar and restaurant I bet. Just guessing but ya gotta put those kegs and cans some where right?
Omg I absolutely love the uniqueness I want this place
@@donaldlucas2554 hello there!
Oh its ready for a training center, with the top living space for grooms and a manager, would need some one to build a owners home
Lot of work ! A lot of work but still beautiful
Great time to sell this! People wanting this stuff! Love love it!
Not into horses but that would make a great indoor go-kart track or chooting range!!!
you can make a *lot* of money boarding horses. Hire the help, do the books, it would support itself.
@@angelaj8958 and 24 stalls... Get on our Exclusive Buyer's VIP list here, to know of new properties - BEFORE they hit the market - BluegrassTeam.com/homefinder - or of course just call or text 859-379-5263
Given that area, I would think this property could be made into a nice riding club. Add some more small houses for lodging and turn the attached home into the clubhouse. That hay loft would be a nice indoor special event area. Just build a hay barn nearby.
Take that Pex idea further, and ring the training track with misters for use in keeping the dust down when training indoors.
If any of you uses this idea I better get a honorary lifetime membership. lol
The Western Horseman is still great! I get it regularly
Love that barn. That’s pretty cool looking. Loool the living area uhhhhh looool kind of weird. It could look pretty awesome though if the right person/people go in and work on it. Thank you for showing us:)
Omg what a great bar top
Front door is '50's to early '60's at the newest. Wagon wheel light same. Unless they reused old fixtures this seems older than '70's. So interesting
I had to watch this again. Pretty sure it’s been sold, but I still love it!
"brick shithouse" version of a barn! the living space is cosmetic. Could be beautiful
It's beautiful but I can only dream I would have liked to have seen the inside of the little house
Just a bit out of my range, I love it. As the barn would be my work shop
I LOVE IT🥰🥰🥰🥰My kindda stuff. Thanks
Don't k now what the tourist, pass thru, and local traffic is like, but I see that as a farmer's market / flea market with each vendor having his or her own stall in which to do business. Would need lots of lighting and cosmetics, but with 24 decent size stalls, it might work.
I watch some of my favorite videos today 4or 5 years ago
The barn is below ground level alongside the wall is where the water went up to you can see it
Great barn.
I loved it!!! It is nice and had so much potential.
It is very interesting indeed. I guess the bones are great! 70’s inside does not fly however
This is a pretty awesome property
Beautiful looking place to be at
I love this place. not the way it is, but what it could become.... a high end recording studio
Wow , Brad ....That's what I'm looking for ...Awesome ....!!!
Holy sh*t! That is a cool place. Why didn’t we get to see the “round house”?

Love This! Would love to leave Oregon for this!
Beautiful and interesting property 👍 rent out the stalls and it would help pay the bills.. would have liked to see inside the tiny house..
Don't know much about barns but that definitely looks like a rolls, Royce barn to me....it is massive and built like a tank I think it's GRT love it very interesting...that cute mini house but for a modern property I loved this one so many possibilities with that barn someone is going to get a GRT property....
This is a really nice place. The barn is great!!!!!!!!!!
what kind of wood is that on the second floor? it would make good hardwood flooring
A lot of people are with out a house period, so you must be from Kentucky brad, most of those hidden beds don’t have legs.
You gotta worry about floods in Kentucky too.
I want to know what’s wrong with the water down in Kentucky right now? You never know anymore what being hid from us all
Add a couple hundred thousand+ and that would once again be an awesome racehorse training facility.
I have to admit that is the oddest house I have ever seen and I have seen many odd one's
Omg I want this property
When he built the property it was all about the horses. It is KY afterall. How many acres is it?
This property would be perfect for corporation I’ve been think on.
The acoustics would sound really good in here or really bad 😄
I love this property, but wow the upgrades that's needed. Is the spiral staircase the only access to the home? Love the concept if you love your horses.
It has another access in one end of the barn that leads to hay storage and apt
It doesn't need any upgrades. If some idiot thinks it needs "upgrades" they are #1 ruining the house and #2 - dont know how to live.
@@MrWolfSnack looks great to me and I don't have horses. I'd paint the brown bathroom a lighter color, and I'd want to grow plants in that sunroom.
It would be an AMAZING restaurant (Steak House)!
was that a garage door on the second floor? nvr mnd I see that the structure is built into the side of a hill
Love the house in the oi s barn!! I think it'd be amazing to live there.
What would take this property off their hands the price wise please comment back thank you
Wonder what horse stalls rent out for there? Could be a money generating little business.
I don’t have any horses and would love this
All possibilities an amazing car shop for collector make a massive house anything
I would just clean it up . And move in. It's perfect 💖
Those smaller rooms in barn more than likely were grooms quarters I lived in ones like that when I was a groom for 6 years bouncing from Churchill downs and Oaklawn park grooms never get a day off...horses need daily constant watch and attention grooms keep the legs healthy and horses happy really it can be harsh sport on the horse look up pin fireing yep and standing in ice water hours b4 race so they don’t feel pain.. then the sweating of ankles and shins days after race...I learned a lot in those 6 years worked hard on my horses so none ever came off track hurt
Horse racing is animal abuse
This is all anyone needs!!
I love it wish I could afford it
I would love to own that property
Beautiful view
I would love to have a house on top of a mountain, a big mountain and design my house on one big elevator shaft, when ever I wanted it to go under ground, all I would have to do was hit one of three levels, first level would be fifteen feet down, hide/write/paint, My leave me alone level "second level," 30 ft down for a storm shelter and the third level, 60ft deep for my Prepper Shelter. Each level would have it's own water, sewer and electric that would automatically hook up. One huge Generator & Mechanical Room, and have a boiling spring in the center of the mountain at the bottom and of course natural springs with ice cold water too, so find me that home. I would like twenty five acres and every inch fenced with twelve foot of wrought iron fence. I have an animal rescue, so a sinking barn would be a must as well with connecting doors so I can always let them know that I love them all the time, no matter, cows, peacocks, dogs, cats, chickens, ducks and a few horses.
Thanks Ken. Love your videos.
I really like it....a person could do alot there!!!!
I don't think id make many changes in the living quarters. Wiith all that beautiful cedar wood in there, you'd never be able to duplicate it without spending a fortune. I dont like the murphy beds, but something like that could be changed easily . You could make quite a business out of it between boarding , training, etc, your pretty much set.
And one thing for sure, it'd probably take an F10 tornado to destroy it. Dont know about earthquakes.
Very beautiful place
Round barns in okla is because of tornadoes !!
So Ken you have stalls on both sides that 24... woww
Good place for living
Im thinking in a tornado, maybe that cement barn might be safer except for the roof?
Kay, that IS an unusual set up. But, if you're not afraid to use a little elbow grease....
I would love it IF it wasn't so close to big cities.
Very cool property
No doubt the Apartment above barn was for guys that worked there, This guy had money , built a wonderful place for his four legged money makers.
You can have cow, goat, chicen, turkey, remodle the house part. you could make it gorgous. but I"d do some good cleaning of the whole place.
My daughter is looking for a home to buy here in Green county in Kentucky but I don’t know if can help her since she’s from this area ?
By the way this is such beautiful property it’s gorgeous it’s definitely got potential .
Hey, my cousins and I are interested in buying the property where our family graveyard from the 1800s is, if it ever comes up for sale, but we haven't been able to figure out who owns it and the parcel maps don't show what that parcel is. Do you think you could find that out? It's on Deep Creek Rd. not too far from Mackville.
I love it and for that level of engineering that's a steal. I have a friend in KY who would have a blast with this property. I'll contact him immediately. There will be a finder's fee. =^)
