The cost of living is low. The schools are fantastic. The people are really nice. What more can I say? We love living here. This is a tiny little county. In fact, it's like the third or fourth smallest county in the state, but it's where we call home and your goanna love this place, I promise you. You're going to want to call this home. This is just an acre, but you're surrounded by all the farmland you'll ever want. These are full time farmer people. This guy's got hundreds of acres. I know this guy. I know this guy. [00:00:46] So you're all surrounded by beautiful farmland. That's all grain. This guy's doing soybean here. This guy's doing all corn over here. And there's a lot of hay going on here because this is cattle country. Where are you? You're about half a mile to the end of Hays Lane. This is, by the way, this is a dead end. So that ends right there. So the only person is going to come past your place here unless it's harvesting season he might get a tractor to. Is this fella up here? And that's it. And you. So where are you?
[00:01:18] Half, half a mile to 150 and 150 runs along. A beautiful highway. It runs from I-75 all the way into Louisville. But anyway, it's our main connector here. Perry, turn, turn right. And Perry builds maybe 3, 4 miles. I'll put it down here. You make a left eight miles and you're at the college center college. All the shopping, all that stuff. Starbucks, T.J. Maxx, Hobby Lobby. On and on. So there's plenty of shopping, plenty of jobs. Boyle County is a real place and the schools are right there maybe. That's like seven and a half miles. So if you got school age kids, you got the elementary school here and then you got middle and high and your goanna be there in seven and a half straight. Miles was at eight, nine minutes flat.
[00:04:18] Is that curb concrete curb stuff there? There's a name for it. I'm sure I'll put it here and then you'll know exactly what it is. Then you'll know, too. Hey, what you think of that back in the day they call those snowballs, right. And hydrangea. They're absolutely beautiful. And this year's like a bumper crop. I don't know why, but they're just the most beautiful. They've been here in a couple of years, just real pretty. I like to be off the road. I don't know about you. You like to be off the road. Beautiful driveway to come up. It's just real pretty. You don't want to be so far back that you don't have room in the back for like a pool. Or hot tub or anything. Nice place. Both functional and pretty. I like the idea of the wide wheelchair accessible doorways. And that upstairs place on top of 3 bedrooms downstairs. I also like that big bathroom. Now this is just dream talk here of course. Even if it was still for sale for that money (and even back in 2018 that was a good deal) we don't have that much. But if we were to get a place like this, (again I'm dreaming beyond our current budget) I would put a wheelchair Ramp on both porches,a lockable baby gate on the stairs (the wife babysits a toddler) and maybe a hot tub on the back deck and eventually finish the upstairs.I'd just have to decide between extra bedrooms or apt. But other than the 2 wheelchair ramps it's borderline perfect as is. Although I think I would like more property I could still do alot with what's their. And I need to rewatch it but if memory serves it wouldn't take much for a wheelchair to go from the garage to the house.

Yes I like to be off the road
Brad, I wonder if you had had your "umbrella drink" BEFORE you made this video. ;-) The setting is beautiful if you want privacy/seclusion, but you'll need to drive someplace to find civilization. There's a very large yard to maintain! Living next to a farm has its downside (noise and odors at times) but there's no worry about obnoxious neighbors. I presume the place is served by a private well and septic system.
There's no doubt that this is a spacious, well cared for house. Entry from the garage into a bathroom is, to say the least, unusual. It might be convenient for the farmer to strip off and clean up after a day's work, but for others it could be embarrassing. HGTV would say that the kitchen and bathrooms are dated, but the decor and fixtures look in great shape, and prospective buyers might appreciate them (as I do). Most everything looks top quality. Closets are ample. There's plenty of space upstairs to add more bedrooms and another bath.
A house like this in New England would cost at least double the price, so I'd guess that it wasn't on the market very long.

Be nice if 1st road in was graveled or paved. Home is beautiful. And the land. Luv a comfortable cozy country home. Kitchen is my favorite & master bedroom. Like berber carpet in master bedroom to keep feet warm when get up. Was hoping kitchen would have black appliances or mix with stainless & countertops not whitish. Wish had a huge gorgeous fireplace...stone or brick. Like the siding on top of house & color. Anyone know brand name? I hate the gray walls we see lately. Hate white trim. Like doors to be naturally pretty wood stained. All wood. Attic could be a huge bedroom, library & bath, have 2 masters. Nice deck. Do u know if u can paint gutters/downspouts if white or if want to change the color have to order them? Grass is so pretty & everything so green in KY. Yard f & b is nice & level. What is temp levels in hot summertime? U make nice videos, Brad.
