You were the voice of reason there. They are going to miss you.
Be nice to see the other reasonable people team up. Can certainly see a pattern with MORR. Plus, it's gone way off the rails with all the events and celebrity status stuff, plus crazy amounts of sponsorship pushes for entire episodes from places giving them free stuff... That always rubbed me the wrong way, when all anyone ever wanted was to watch recovery rides and builds.
Icky.
Good luck with going out on your own Tom Tom! I’ll be watching you along the way. MORR won’t be the same without you.
I’m pretty sure he still works for morr
@@iridium8341 Everyone who thinks they might want to work for themselves instead of for someone else should try to make that happen. It's one of the hardest, but also one of the best, things I've ever done.
@@RockwellsWildLife just seen that now
Thanks, I appreciate your support!!! I'm sure MORR will continue to do great.
Tom Tom, are you working on branding? cant wait to see what you come up with. You will have to have your own mechanic style shirt too. Cant wait. Try to bring Lizzy in for one project, would be so fun to see a welding project.
Best of luck with the new endeavour. Love that your family joined you in the video. They aren’t 100% used to the camera yet and that is genuine and lovely. Real people who care for you and are happy to help ❤
Congratulations Tom. You are a great craftsman and will do well.
Nerd Cave.... that's a title I would be proud of! Fine work Sir!
FYI...Your best video! Keep them rolling. Your family is great! Cheers
The cat really tied the whole thing together
Every garage needs an adorable shop cat.
Tom needs to pay that cat in treats.
As long as Tom Tom has the cat's approval, that cart should be just fine.
Good luck buddy, working for yourself is the only way.
Tom Tom , is such a brilliant presenter, really looking forward to see the growth of His UA-cam channel.
I like how Tom thinks. Has his engineering background and uses common sense with it.
@@ken85225if you know many engineers, you realize how rare that is !!!!
Cool tool box hack Tom... put your labels on magnetic tape. The strips fit perfectly on 1/2" mag-tape.
If you move your tools etc, just move the labels. No sticky stuff to deal with.
The quick pace is just right, your actions are very well explained and you get a lot accomplished. Your craftsmanship is excellent. I sure look forward to upcoming episodes. Thanks for terrific viewing.
Hello Tom!! I'm in Switzerland and I've been watching the adventures of Matt, Rory, Paul, and all the family and friends for years. And now, Tom's adventures and new life.
I wish you lots of success and above all, continue to make me dream!!
Put a drawer under your cart top. I did that for a similar rolling workbench and I keep measuring and marking things in there. I store pencils, pens, rulers, tape measure, a note pad, etc. in the drawer. Before I did that, I never had a pencil handy when I needed it. Now, it's right where I'm working.
Yeah, and a lower heavy metal shelf for parts that you're removing from the vehicle you're working on, or heavier tools.
A pencil drawer on a desk. Great idea.
@@fridaynightgamefilm The lower part will need to be braced from end to end so there's not so much leverage to loosen the legs, so that shelf will do both.
@@delandbrooks3291definitely would help make it more ridged. Maybe even some cross from bottom right to top left or the other way... or both, will just limit access a little bit on that side.
@@jaynecobb3701 Yes, I'm a great innovator.
I appreciate the snarkiness but it is a work bench in a garage, not a desk in an office. And it doesn't have one.
Nice to see you running your own channel Can't wait to see your builds
I was just thinking when the video started that you needed a rolling table or cart to put stuff on. I told myself I didn't need one, the shop is only 40 feet wide. But after 20 trips back and forth working on a project I went right out and got myself a cheap Harbor Freight cart. Helps with productivity. Great video as usual.
We will miss you on MORR but will be watching you here!
I love how you kidnapped the neighbor's cat at the end. We will need more appearances of Maverick in the future.
Tom it's good to see your Growth.
Congratulations on the Channel!
Congratulations! Your personality is great, humorous and entertaining for your own show! I know it's going to be awesome!
You were great on Matt’s videos and an essential part of the team. I look forward to watching DigDug get back out into the mountains with your new mods on it. I also can’t wait for you to get to work on the
jeep. Good luck to you and the family.
That is the worlds best work bench Tom Tom,looking fwd to seeing more of your creativity.👍
Tom, your shop is looking good, it's shaping up. The tools and parts roll-cart looks very functional and cool. You holding the neighbor's cat Maverick at the end was both cute and hilarious...he looked so chill and like he didn't have a care in the world as you were holding him with one hand up in the air while you were moving around, gesturing and talking loudly! Lol
Congratulations Tom on your new channel. Look forward to future episodes.👌
Tom, you’ve always been the voice of reason at Matt’s Off Road! I will definitely miss you at Matt’s but look forward to your videos and watching your channel grow!
God bless You and your family Tom, want nothing but the best for you sir!
Great to see you working on your own Channel. Love the way you explain your thought process and show it as you do the project. It gives you a sort of tutorial. Keep it up.
I think the drill at Matt’s should have been your going away present , good luck Tom. I’ll be watching
I loved what you said about “ I could buy a cart but I would rather be surrounded by things made by my hands… etc” well said. I have had to explain that exact thing many times.
Yes excited to see what you bring to the table and what all you do with your channel hope to keep seeing you on Matt's off-road
Tom Tom you’re awesome, I look forward to seeing your future projects.
Matt is gonna miss your expertise in the MORR shop! I'm gonna really enjoy your channel! Can't wait to watch you tackle projects.
Those are nice boxes! I'm looking forward to future projects. You're living the life that many of us can't!
Nuclear Scientist goes Mechanical ! Cool, Wishing you every success in the new endeavor.
I suffer from Flat Surface Syndrome so badly. Exciting to see the things you'll get up to and your aporoach to projects on this channel.
A cart without a lip? Let me sing you the CLANG of my people. Also, a tip I've always been in favor of on the double-decker tool cabinets... shove a 2x4 or 2x6 between the upper and lowers (or build a C-frame with only the front open). It's a minimal increase in height, but it gives you a place to set things down at waist-height whenever you just need to. Which, is almost all the time. I also use it to store lunch trays with smaller projects on them, 2 or 3 wide, when I toggle between projects and need to clear off the big shop table. Oh, and the sides of the cabinets are great places to hang long things. It's not about volume, it's about accessible surface area.
I will miss you on MORR, but wish you every success as you branch out on your own.
Agree. Tom Tom and Jefe are my fav's
It really made it final today when Matt came to your shop and promoted your channel. Happy for you Tom! Will be here watching and rooting for you!!
Good luck Tom, really going to miss seeing you and Matt working together. I hope one of his kids can step up their game. Look forward to seeing you building your show.
Congratulations, Tom. What a pleasant surprise to learn about the history between you and Matt. I'm looking forward to watching the growth of your shop and how much Matt is going to miss your design expertise. God Bless.
I think Matt should have given you Sally as a leaving gift.
I love that you have Angela & Co. appearing with you and that you introduce them to us - many vlogs just have characters lurking aound and we never know who they are...
This is a lovely channel.
Hello TomTom, I would enjoy seeing more of your sensible calculations and analyses, in addition to your great tangible work. 🧠😇
You have the car lift behind you. Get 2 4x4s across them. Bam, you got a new helper.
You have challenger lift right behind you Tom Tom
I wanted to use it but there was just no good way to do it. The lift only goes 6 feet that and that wasn't enough.
@@tomtomsshop well that sucks. Looks like it would have worked. You did a good job especially by your self!
Tom we are here for you man.
Thanks, it always blows me away how awesome and supportive people are!
Today in the US 6.7 million people of the 330 million organized their shop , congrats🎉👍🏻
With your experience with MOOR and your engineering background, we're waiting to see what's next. Can't wait sir. 😀👍👍
I agree with those saying "use the car lift!" Shop looks great.
Used to polish the floors in my room in the barracks in the Army, with Johnson's paste wax.
I hope your son takes on your skills and abilities, keep him motivated to help when he’s home
I enjoyed your time with Matt’s Off road Tom, but am looking forward to watching your new projects and builds, all the very best to you buddy on your very own UA-cam channel.👍
"Bau" is German for building or construction and "Buche" is German for beech. So BauBuche literally means construction beech.
It's made by the German manufacturer Pollmeier.
That makes perfect sense. Thanks for the explanation!
exactly…i build my kitchen counters with baubuche
and it's pronounced like (ship's) bow and boo-ch-eh (the ch is closest to the English sh, and the eh is like the final eh sound in Spanish 7 siete)
Kind of expected you to get the torque wrench out for those bench bolts 😁
The entire Jamie thing from Progressive Auto Insurance completely works. ♥
You're a cool dude Tom have fun with your new channel I'm on board
Congrats on your channel Tom, looking forward to watching the upcoming episodes. You are an excellent presenter!
Sorry to see you go, but here to support you and the growth of the channel. Still love Matt's ORR, and will continue to support both. 2 channels, woohoo!!
I'm glad I found your channel Tom. I've always enjoyed your contributions on Matt's content. You've made his projects turn out far better than they would have without you. OH, I have three solid tool carts like that on wheels ... all stacked up with stuff and shoved into the corners. NEVER USEABLE. Don't be a me
Glad to see you on your own channel Tom. Go your own way!
I love the idea you dont just buy stuff but make it yourself. There is so much to learn by doing the proces yourself.
Greets from Holland!
Tom toms shop !!!! Love it! Love you tom! I came over from Matt's off road recovery. I've been watching and likening your brilliant engineering!!!! Keep it up tom tom!!!!
Looks great. On the first coat with the Danish oil . Pour onto wood and spread around every fifteen minutes as it soaks in. After 30 minutes wipe so no puddles are left. Use a small rag to apply and store the rag in a Ziplock with no air in between coats. When done with rag, dry it out flat so there is no spontaneous combustion. Former painter who used a lot of Watco.
Hate to see you leave MORR. Wishing you the best of luck on your new adventure
I am going to miss seeing you at Matt's on a regular basis. You added class to the channel. Good luck here. Anxious to see the direction this takes.
Congrats on going out on your own! Wishing you all the best! I'm hoping to see the FSJ you worked on; I saw it when Matt was in your new shop. SUBSCRIBERS/VIEWERS : Help Tom Tom out by watching the ads in addition to hitting the 👍 button. And Subscribe if you havent already.
loving the new tool stack, black and red looks nice, but that table / cart you just built, now thats something else, i honestly love that, thanks for sharing Tom
Gotta love the organisation everything has a place.
I came to check out Tom Toms new channel and stayed for Maverick the Black Cat! 😂😂 ❤❤
Nice cart Tom, love the finish.
Yep, making your own things is so rewarding. Any imperfections just puts your own signature on it. Looking forward to you moving forward!
Hello Tom Tom, as a foreign man with over seventy years and not so good English skills, I compliment you on your pronunciation. I rarely have to pause your video and read what you have explained in the subtitles. Greetings from the eternal summer!
So glad you have your own channel , really enjoy your projects and cool music!
I’m a fan of Tom. His cool voice and mood in doing things are his big assets in overcoming challenges in the industry in the near future. Good luck Tom and wish you all the best success in your new endeavour 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Glad you're starting your own channel. Now between you, Matt, Robby, and Paul, i have even more content!
And Rory. Almost too much😅
Rudy , Trevor MisAdventer lab and Ben (fab rats) all have channels.
You are going to be busy.
you can put the top section on big ice cube, remove the strap and wait for the ice to melt.
As an OCD person I laughed and love the labels on the tool boxes. Please tell me you aren’t leaving MORR.
Congrats on doing your channel you are going to do amazing work out of your shop and you even said you still would stop by Matt's to see how they are doing please make your videos a longer let's go brother you and your family are doing great
Sad to hear you left Tom, but I understand. Looking forward to watching your channel. Good luck.
Angela is a big help with the labels! Nice touch
Congrats on going full time
Teamwork makes the dream work.
Love TOM TOM videos. Thank you for making a channel and taking us on a journey with you and the family. Much love from Wisconsin. Your organization makes me feel at home as I am all about that lifestyle!
Maverick is super cute!
Glad u gonna be taking more time for urself and channel i hope it grows like wild flowers
Man, you were my favorite guy on MORR. Like legitimately, I feel very sad you're going on your own, but i understand it. Good luck to you. We are lucky you have your own channel.
interested to see where this channel goes. will miss you on MORR. you, lindsay and trevor are great folks that i just wish were still there.
YOU HAVE A LIFT RIGHT THERE!
i kept telling him that through the screen but he wasn't listening...
I wanted to but there was just no good way to do it. The lift only goes 6 feet that and that wasn't enough.
Haha Tom knowing full well that the shot of him trying to figure out how to lift, standing in front of the lift will generate comments and engagement to help the algorithm is the most youtubey thing. It’s like Matt saying “what’s the lower 48?” To generate engagement on the channel. Smart move Tom.
Gliders for your moving your things around is a godsend because my ears are in pain.
You need to build yourself a rolling gantry crane at some point. A bridge crane would be nice too, but that’s a bit much… or is it…
Sorry to see you leave Matt's recovery....but understandable you have your own garage now .....looking forward to your projects
No he has not left Matt's !
@@charliee7142seen tons of people saying he was leaving did I miss something?I thought he was just setting up his home shop. hell Tom is the main reason I'm still watching morr
Yes Matt's video today said he was leaving to work in his garage ...even Tom Tom said it ... Tom Tom said he would still stop by time to time ...but he would be doing projects out of his garage ... WATCH THE VIDEO
Go luck, we’ll miss you. Btw the Harbor Freight boxes look so good
I’ll be watching and supporting you along your journey brother!
Looking forward to what you do TomTom
I would have used the challengeer lift to lift that box. But it looks like it might not have lifted it high enough? Ahh that Johnson wax! Better hold on to that! Its not available anymore. I have about 3 cans left. I keep in a safe place!
Is there any more of a solid dude than Tom ?
Good Plan, Thank You. And a Fine Cat
Those big Red tool chests are awesome.. the more Shelving/Loft
Space the better..
its called cross laminated timber or CLT - its a really good building material - 2/3rds the strength of steel - you can build tower blocks from it
No this is not cross laminated timber (CLT), that's something entirely different. Unlike CLT, BauBuche is not made of softwood timber, but instead laminated hardwood (beech) veneer.
It's much closer to the different types of plywood in construction as they are all made of veneer unlike CLT which is made of timber. However, in BauBuche panels the veneer layers are perpendicular to the panel surface which is the opposite direction of both plywood and CLT.
Good luck Tom! I'm currently setting up my new shop and will be watching you for great ideas... so don't screw up! 😁
I'm subscribed and will watch your channel with a 👍s up Tom Tom...
So glad you've decided to make your own videos can't wait to watch your channel grow!
I know that feeling of having a shop that is to small. I have a 40x50 with 14 foot tall walls when I built it I thought I would never need more space than that. Now it's a huge mess with no room for anything (if you watch any of my videos you'll see) but hopefully this year I can work on getting the walls insulation done and sheeted then shelfs
Good luck with your new adventures and projects.
