Also to mention that they're no longer giving the number of iPhone, pad and laptop sold... Why do you think?? So they can keep faking the numbers!!

IOS is totally owned and used by Apple only so they have freedom of putting what they like whereas, Android is kind of open sourced, if Google puts Chrome and other apps on their Pixel then it's fine but if they force other companies to do same as well then that's how problem begins..
It's similar to how Microsoft was sued for forcing companies to pre install Windows explorer.
@@shadowpat810 Just because Android is open sourced to an extent doesn't mean that Google has any less authority to install software on the phone when you buy it.
B/c Apple only occupied 18% of the market based on the video. You can hardly call it a monopoly when the company's market share is only 18%.
If Yelp stopped forcing mobile users to download their app, more people would click their links in search results.
The reason they do that is so that you will use their services more often and this allows them to collect more data off of you. If you did not download the app, you are either not the user that they intend to attract, or you did not plan on using their services for a relatively long period of time.
Idk why Yelp doesnt just start their own search engine.
Bro for real. I like Google reviews on my old phone better than Stupid Yelp on iPhone. who TF uses Yelp?! It doesn't even integrate well with iOS tbh because it opens in a whole completely different app than the placesI try to review on apple maps. I just stopped reviewing because Yelp is stupid and complicated and extra. Apple needs to force them to merge with apple maps like Google review merges with Google maps or just stop this war between apple and Google and combine to form a new company.

@@Jordan_Dossou I haven't looked at Yelp or a Google review in a long time now, but the reason Yelp was better, was that the reviews were more deliberate and well thought-out. Clicking on a google map to say whatever's on your mind at the time seems antithetical to this. I dunno how good Yelp is now, but if anything, I'd expect integration with Maps applications on phones (if it's a thing) to be its downfall, if it's had one.
Monopoly occurs when the company is taking an advantage of the people by forcing them to pay and buy more. In this case, google doesn’t take an advantage of the people. We choose google because it’s convenient and free.

it's not a monopoly, they're just the best!! There's numerous search engine just that none work to the level of Google! Same for maps, email, translation..
Because of android, they just make it difficult to use another search engine. When you buy android you need to make gmail id for sure and for young users who never made any mail id ever it ends up becoming the only one. So yes it is a monopoly.
@@anandkothari9616 you can use any search engine you want.. By default it's set to google ( Just like Apple is Safari by default on their product) but you can choose Bing, Yahoo or any other one! Google is the best search engine right now! So following your logic, Microsoft is a monopoly 'cause when you install windows, you have to have a Hotmail account to set it up password and email notification... Makes no sense!!!
@@Atem_S. Have you even read the entirety of his reply? It's not about the search engine, it's about google forcing you to make a google account just to use android. Microsoft does not force you to make a Microsoft account before you can use Windows, you can just create a local account if you don't want to do that sort of thing. I don't know about apple though.

All their services is Android based and it's an ecosystem ( just like Apple) Once you have your google account, you can sign up to all their services using the same ID! Why is it an issue?? PS, Update to Windows10 and go see... TO unlock your PC you need a Microsoft account or numerical password!! What they did is nonsense!! And like I said before, all the email notification and all the other stuff is Hotmail account based!!! You don't have a Hotmail account ( outlook now) you cannot sign up!
THAT'S NOT HOW LAWS OF MONOPOLY WORK. Even windows was the best, but still Microsoft was fined for MONOPOLY, that's why to save themselves they saved Apple from going bankrupt.

To Google, we are NOT the consumers. We are the products that they sell to Google’s real consumers.
Stop bashing standard oil if you don't know what it did to the market. Oil was selling at around 24 shillings a gallon and by the time it was broken up the price was hovering at 7 shillings a gallon. Not to mention, before the oil market was a highly fragmented industry with no brands that can assure the quality of their products, so very often people's homes were burnt down because of knockoffs. In their time (like today) monopolies had become a dirty word and that is why it was broken down. Decisions made on public opinion are always poor.

Android is a spyware listening device to further sell you garbage and the US government can access the data google collects and use it against you. @@MichaelDespairs calling their search results junk is not an objective view on the matter I think. You do need to know how to find information to make tools like google useful. The federal government of the US may access google’s stored user info if there is a valid warrant to... that is not the company’s fault, it is how the country operates. Google has to comply with transparency because if it does not, the can cease google’s operations from that country.

Monopoly is always bad because you can't trust anyone always.
Let's take airbus and boeing the duopoly sure they do things right. But they stifle innovation when they root out competitors.
Pretty unfair to say Google doesn't have the right to place ads at the top of its search engine. Its THEIR product - they should have the right to show ads at the top of the results and make money from that since that's their business model. What's stores can't place their products at the store windows at THEIR stores?
Indeed, there are many example of other browsers (regardless if they're worse or better) such as Opera (or the new Opera GX) , Microsoft, firefox etc.
These are only the leads and personally, I think each one suggesting a different set of recommended content is MANDATORY for a company to strive.
Besides, the only reason why google is called a monopoly is because it provides its default apps for many android devices that were made by people who they had legal contracts with in the first place, to apply their applications to their services for free.
So it is evident that they invested some to make their plans work, and not just because they were labeled "reliable".

Personally I think google products are good and helps me allot and I've tried others and some might be better but most of google stuff is good. When a company conplaints google is monopolizing but the consumers doesn't, in fact google increases the productivity of the community, isn't that what we all wanted? Now european have to pay for stuff that is actually free because it violate a fair market rule. What a joke. It completely ignores the benefit of it and not even considering any feedbacks from the consumers point of view. Prioritize companies profit over product and controlling competative market are the true definitions of a capitallism economy in my opinion.
I guess it's a little different from the price of oil in the early 20th century, but if you ever bought an Android phone and didn't sign it becomes quite uncomfortable. Google, as many companies start offering these products, that seemingly for YOUR benefit. But when you don't accept the offer. You wake up one morning sleeping next to 🐴

I had horrible phone service.
I changed 2 carriers finally I decided not to sync my main Google account to my new phone and now I have perfect service. Go think about that one.
If someone is searching in Google and their results will show obviously on top....and pre-installed apps like google chrome maps in their Android operating system is not wrong I feel and also if people didn't like Google is not forcing them to use that.

I know right? Google is not a monopoly.... everyone is free to just search on bing.com, yahoo.com etc. But somehow everyone uses google instead. No one is forcing you, therefore not a monopoly.

Google made sure to push Microsoft's clunky Pocket PC and Windows Phone off the cliff. It was for the better. But long term, it's not good for the consumers that there are only two options, Android and iOS. There should be a third OS available. There's Kai OS for feature-phones, but Google bought Kai, and that makes it a part of Google.

Cannot denied Google had help a lot small businesses, google map make people life more easier, travel made easy, can search item/product around the world. But ONGC is bigger than Reliance. Break ONGC. Jio controls 28% market share which is far from being a monopoly. You are concerned about Reliance in E-Commerce which doesn't exist. They are planning to start one but didn't do it yet. Moreover you forgot they also have Media and Entertainment. But your Congress won't say that. They didn't utter a word when billions of dollars of construction and infrastructure projects were given to Reliance because at that time Congress was in power. The biggest companies in India are PSU and PSB like Indian Oil Corporation and SBI. Break them first and then talk about Reliance.
