UK never was part of Schengen. The UK has the CTA with Ireland and that's the reason why Ireland isn't in Schengen either. But - being a valued member, the UK (and Ireland) have had the excemption to be free from any restrictions. Non-Schengen EU members have put up their own rules, so that you now need a visa for Schengen and a *lot* of additional visa to visit the Balcan. And it's non in-out-in, the regulation is 90 dazs within a 180 day period. So, once you've spent your 90 days, there's no way back for the next 90 days....
Pre Brexit the UK was part of the EU which includes most of the Schengen countries. I never stated that the UK was part of the Schengen Zone. But being in the EU meant British citizens could freely travel Schengen countries that were in the EU. My point is that the 90 days in 90 days out rule applies to the Schengen Zone and all the countries in it. Hence why I state in the video that to exit the Schengen zone you do not have to return to the UK as many people seem to think. You can indeed go to one of the counties I listed within the video which are not part of the Schengen Zone but may require Visas. A Visa is generally far cheaper than ferry crossings to come back to the UK every 90 days 😊
Hey, Grumpy.... been doing induction for Camc.... and far better than CCC (at least i get an induction!) ...far,far better. They are still looking for people for long term contracts ...interested?
Hey fella! Glad to hear it, but to be fair, any company would be hard-pushed to be worse than CCC! I'd definitely be interested but not in 2023 as I've agreed to sits for most of the year now and I'm not the sort to let people down even if I'm doing it for free. I did apply for CAMC last year but never heard back from them so perhaps I'll apply again at the end of the year for 2024 depending on how finances are looking. Where have you been placed for 2023?
