You are soooooo right. I originally bought a replica bum bag because they were sold out and none of my CA’s could get me one. That one had a strap drop that made it fall right on my side like you described. So when my CA let me know one was available a couple weeks ago I ordered it so I could have an authentic one. Got it home tried it on and same with me, it almost created a breast shelf. 😅 I was so hurt. I’ve worn it as a belt bag cuz it doesn’t work as a crossbody but I thought about getting a monogram strap. I’m glad I watched this cuz that is much better.

You can combine the vachetta strap with the chain together to use cross body. I bought the same strap as you to use with it though and I love the monogram on mogram look. It can be purchased separately but also comes with the pochette metis for those who already have it. Hope you are enjoying your Mini bum bag now!
It’s so annoying that the strap is too short and probably won’t fit 50% of people. I already had a monogram strap which I use with my Speedy 20 which I’m glad about as I wouldn’t be happy having to pay more for another strap. 🙄
I agree! After I purchased the longer strap I figured out a way to extend the original strap by connecting it to the chain and that worked perfectly because I hate when the chain hangs and makes so much noise every step I take bouncing against my body as I walk.
There are chain extenders that you can purchase like I did for mine...two sets costed me less than $100, which is fraction of the price of purchasing another LV strap.
You can also attatch the vachetta strap to the chain to add length and use those together to make a crossbody strap for the mini bumbag 🤎💛
