- Georges Delerue composed the score to the extremely underrated Tom Hanks/Meg Ryan film JOE VS. THE VOLCANO.
At the scoring sessions, director/writer John Patrick Shanley was so taken by one of the themes that he penned lyrics for it on the spot. The next day singers were brought in to sing "Marooned Without You"
Here pianist Mike Farrell sight-reads a first run through of a suite of some of the score joined by singers Rena Strober and Stephen Van Dorn.
This is from a series of performances of obscure sheet music from the collection of Richard Kraft.
