I saw your video a year ago on Easter. I downloaded the tabs and I wanted to learn it for last year's mother's day. A year ago I was only half way through it but I played it anyway to my mother. Today after countless hours of practice I am finally confident playing this marvellous piece of music. It was worth it. Thank you!

I literally only know how to do the first two measures on loop... it's the rest of the song that is hard to learn.

I think rather than commenting on his thumb.. we should rather appreciate how much effort he has gone through to be able to play music like this. just saying...
Theres things called finger picks. They go on the ends of the fingers ether than all of them holding one pick. People who play classical guitar use them but mainly if you notice (I've noticed this on my band teacher) their left hand's fingernails are longer so they can pluck each of the strings individually while their left hand's nails are cut short as to play the chords with more ease. : )
