When you say trustless bridging to Ethereum, does this also work with Ethereum L2s also (technically EVM chains) or it refers to the Ethereum chain itself?
Snowbridge connects directly to the Ethereum main chain, although you could then interact with L2s from there. Theoretically, I don't think there would be any problems also having it connect to an Ethereum L2 as long as that L2 is also EVM-compatible (so it can run the necessary smart contracts) and you set up relayers. However, as far as I know there are no plans to do so.
