    Glad to see Cloud Nothings go back to their more raw and experimental roots didn't care for the last album but i'm looking forward to this one now

    Unexpected, but definitely welcome. Feels like we just got Life Without Sound.

    Really looking forward to this! Sounds like it's taking the best parts of Life Without Sound--the refined songwriting and Dylan's improved vocals--and bringing back a production closer to Albini's mixes on previous record. Super raw and shit. Seriously dying to hear that ten minute track "Dissolution" as well as the rest of the album. Liked "Leave Him Now" as well, so I'm expecting this one to be the best record yet.

      Their albums "attack on memory "and "here and nowhere else" are the closest in sound to this, and were both produced by Steve Albini, so I'd recommend you download those. "life without sound" has a slicker production, but I think some songs on it hit just as hard as their older stuff. Check out one of their KEXP performances, they're great.

    Happy to hear about a new album but judging from this song it just sounds like here and nowhere else part 2, which is a style i thought they were trying to move away from

    • @brandonburroughs7128
      @brandonburroughs7128 6 років тому

      i was thinking the same thing. not so much that they were trying to move away from it, but that it sounds totally like something off of that record

    • @brandonburroughs7128
      @brandonburroughs7128 6 років тому +6

      i do like the production on this track better than on that album. it's still very noisy but not as cluttered; there's a lot more clarity and space between the instruments imo
