+Pink guy The music video wasn't meant to represent any Illuminati shit, it was showing that not everything is pink and pretty, there's demons in everyone pretty much. At least that's what I got from it, it's just represented through black "demon" eyes and illuminati symbols, which is kind of the same type of symbolism if you think about it.

This just kind of goes to show you that evil isn't always going to be what you expect it to be. As a matter of a fact, most of the time the devil will appear to it's victims in a form that's pleasing to the eye/mind whether that's a person, place, or thing (in this case it's a few girls having fun). Keep in mind Satan, or evildoers alike, are really really good at lying. You see a few girls having a typical slumber party while dancing to a campy pop song in the background, but then the video suddenly became very demonic. There were even sparkly lights around the girls as they were playing with their ouiji board as if that makes it any less evil. If the ouiji board wasn't enough, they even blatantly threw in the illuminati symbol (along with the upside down pentagon) in the background towards the end there, yet still kept rainbows and bright colors around to say "Oh it's not so bad." Smh.

Is it just me or people don't seem to have understood this song? Maybe I didn't but from what I see it's not about breakup or relationships. The lyrics let it clear that the author is talking to himself, about his past and what he did in the past (when he was young), about part of his persona that was left in the past for new ideas but the memories are still "haunting" him because that doesn't define who he really is. So the video seems correct, young innocent girls doing drugs/drinking and playing with thing they don't understand just for the lulz, that might remember this in the future not too proudly.

The director of this video(and all the other cloud nothings videos) really focuses on making weird videos. And i think this is his best work, ive never felt so uncomfortable watching a video, and this is before the demonic stuff. Like hearing such a perfect song played over a selfie filled video is as hilarious as creepy. Also seeing Dylan Baldi's head on a flying iphone is the greatest thing i can imagine. 10/10
These guys are one of the few bands currently doing solid yet catchy pop-rock / indie songs. I love how they take post-hardcore / punk / Sonic Youth elements and transform it into a very catchy song.

The key to understanding this music video is the title "I'm not part of me". The girls are running around having fun to forget the true underlying problems that they have to deal with "I'm not telling you all I'm going through" eventually to the point where this issue consumes them (Black eyes) and they choose to continue having fun. At the end where they are standing and dancing around like the rest of the video, it shows various beliefs that can be chosen to help get over whatever they're going through (Money, religion, beliefs). In the end, the chorus "I'm not you you're a part of me" is as if they're saying it in a mirror accepting the fact that they aren't really this person having fun but it is merely a part of them just like a work personality or a social (media) personality (The phones flying with Dylan's face) they aren't really truly you, they're just parts of you and these parts of you eventually make you.
the symbology, in the end, is pretty distinct. The only religion they have left is satanic; baphomet, pentgram, and the all seeing eye.... trifecta.

Devastating song. I always find it interesting how sometimes the saddest lyrics are disguised with upbeat pop/punk melodies. You wouldn't really think of this song being so depressing until you read the lyrics.
