I enjoy the video; but not all Allisons have six speeds. There is at least one with seven. The 4700. Maybe you could do a video that covers that more broadly. Fewergears is not a disadvantage at lower ground speeds. The automated manuals need all those speeds because of the disadvantage of not having a torque converter.
There’s a 10sp Allison in one of our trucks in Dallas. Had a real nasty grind downshifting from 10 to 9 for about 50k miles. They said it was a normal thing and it went away. That trans was the only good thing about that International **** box.
