last D23 I was impressed on how incredible from seeing the Pandora model. Then to see it in real life was awe inspiring. This cranks up the amp to 11 multiply by 3. I so cannot wait to see this when it opens
I can't wait to feel the chills go down my spine when I first walk in and hear the immersive music that Disney always seems to have in their different lands
Although this will be epic, Harry will never wet his pants...lolll. Wizarding World is amazing and they are adding a new ride this year. Galaxy's Edge will be my number one though, but Harry's world is equally immersive and fascinating
I was hesitant about getting this land before (I love Star Wars, but Tomorrowland is basically Star Wars land already) but this is very very impressive. And I'm very excited now
Ehh but this park is probably gonna open at around the time Episode 9 puts out it's first teaser trailer, which will likely have the Falcon in it. (Unless it gets destroyed in The Last Jedi, which hopefully it doesn't.) That will get people hyped up again for basically everything Star Wars related.
i will go .. lots .. however, there will be wall to wall of people barely able to move 10 feet in 10 minutes ... this will undoubtedly be one of the most visited area's of the park of one of the most busiest theme parks ever for an indefinite period
26humor26 I'm sure the only time we MAY see him is on pins or something wearing a Darth Vader mask or dressed as Luke Skywalker. I hope not, but that's my assumption
This looks awesome. My only negative comment: Too bad the twin suns won't make it into the finished park. Now if they come up with a way to do it, suns or moons or both, I will personally promote this place for Disney. For whatever that's worth. Lol.
The whole structure is Very interesting idea!! But I have some suggestions though... I guess I would like to see 1) some thin decorative "Bridges" with spacecrafts/vehicles come and go along the bridges. Sothey can transfer people and they can have a Top view of the park as well. 2) Too Many trees are hiding the best parts... Hey this is futuristic land.. so less trees are needed I guess... 3) The Spaceship doesn't seem at all. It should be placed on a tall structure above all buildings view. I would like to see more "sci-fi/Futuristic" structures. Not as an old "village" style park. 4) and Finally, I hope they use the latest "drones" technology, for some awesome flights of small-size spacescrafts. Just to please the eye and only for show... not people inside. well, What do you think? :-)
Is this model for BOTH Disneyland and WDW? Or is this just for one of them? Also, does anyone know if this is a specific planet from the Star Wars universe or just a made up one for the park?
Happiest Place, This model appears to be Disneyland. They will essentially be the same, but the plots of land are different configurations, both with exactly the same acreage. It is said this will be a new world we have not seen before, possibly from an upcoming movie.
As excited as I am for this, I was actually i bit underwhelmed by the design. I was really expecting something a little more "other-wordly". This looks an awful lot like Earth. Trees, stones, blue skies... The buildings and vehicles and everything look amazing, I had just hoped it would transport us somewhere that didn't look quite so much like home. Reply
Scooter, I see that! All this building we've been watching for all this time is gonna disappear under rock. All those cool buildings haven't even been started yet!
Yeah, a lot of rock! I kinda feel like I did a year ago when the area was just a pile of dirt! Still so much to do! I know those two monster buildings were a big chunk but dang!...
This looks awesome and I'm glad that they are putting in the life-sized "classics" like the Millennium Falcon, X-Wing and the Tie Fighter in the park but what about the SUPER iconic AT-AT Walker? (Or even the AT-ST Walker? Or the badass Slave I? Or the Y-Wing and Snowspeeder? Or even a huge Sandcrawler disguised as a retail store or an attraction, etc.!) I see a generic looking shuttle of some sort in the park but they could of made this the Imperial Shuttle instead but they didn't. I'm not whining but I'm just dissappointed that they left out MANY of the more popular "spaceships/vehicles" so I am not as THRILLED as I was hoping to be. IMHO, I really think that Star Wars is as popular as it has become mainly due to the Star Wars movies Episode 4, 5 and 6 and not for the other mediocre (at best) Star Wars movies made (except for Rogue One, that was a good movie that tied things together) so as a result they left much of the HEART & SOUL out from these iconic movies... Bleh.
Think about it, and wait for it,.. OMG, it just hit me,..? I best you, George Lucas, will be there for the Grand Opening,.. I am not missing out on this, one, folks. It s just around the corner,..! They need to make a "Steam Punk" City, next,..!
Don't get me wrong, it looks cool and all, but I can't help but feel that the original concept art was cooler. If you take away the backdrop behind this model, which obviously won't be there in real life, it suddenly looks very bare compared to what we were shown initially. ALL of the trees and greenery on the mountains, and the vast majority of the mountains themselves, are now completely gone. Kinda disappointing if you ask me. This model, minus the backdrop, just doesn't looks as immersive, it doesn't look as much like you're actually on an alien planet in the Star Wars Galaxy. Not in the way Avatar Land does. This looks very much like earth, just with some Star Wars architecture and an occasional Star Wars ship to look at.
AWorldWithoutTenors I disagree. It looks extremely immersive. The building will tower over visitors and there will be droids and aliens throughout the land. It may look a little bare right now, but the scenery combined with the interactions you will have is going to be extremely immersive.
AWorldWithoutTenors, I kind of agree with what you're saying. Having the full scale cyclorama backdrop is a bit misleading, but it really does enhance the look of the model. That being said, when you look at the scale of the miniature people to the buildings and the mountains, they will tower over everyone pretty high, where all you will see is the sky behind, and no other signs of the outside world. The flat, 2-D "hills" of Toon Town create a fairly convincing backdrop for the land, and this land will be much more realistic and three dimensional. As far as an alien planet goes, I see your point, but the problem is, there are SO many planets in the Star Wars galaxy from natural earthy looking, to high tech futuristic looking, what do you pick from to build? It's not the first thing I would have drawn, but I think it's gonna do.
I don't have a problem with the how immersive it is so much as how bland the architecture is. Yeah, it's Star Wars, but in reality, because the movies had more to do with outer space and interiors, much of the exterior shots were brief and transitory, so you didn't really get a chance to distinguish one planet from the other. To me, the structures are bland and repetitive, and too much greenery spread through the whole "Land", rather than separating the Land into more distinct mini-sections/planets. I agree on the importance of the backdrop shown - that's really the only thing which makes it feel otherworldly. Dropping an X-wing fighter here and another ship there does not a Star Wars Land make.
AWorldWithoutTenors I do understand where you're coming from, I as well was hoping to see the scale model look like the concept art that they released last year but hey I guess a lot of ideas alternate within those couple of months due to whatever reason. The backdrop does add a dramatic unrealistic effect but I'm glad they decided to add some rocky mountainous terrain into the land to give it more of that feel that you're in a different world. I'm shockingly surprised that this is going to be how big it is for both Walt Disney World & Disneyland? Disney can fit so much within 14 acres especially that big round building at 3:15 which I think might be queue for the Battle Escape attraction. Nonetheless this land will be SPECTACULAR & HUGE and also keep in mind all the interactions we'll be having with the droids & the weird aliens walking around as well as the sights, sounds, & smells that we'll be experiencing throughout the land. We just have to keep an open mind of things to the little (or big) changes that they make & trust Disney whatever they show us & know that Disney will exceed our expectations once this land opens.
Happiest Place Well said 👏🏼👏🏼 Like you said, the scale of this land will be enormous & the buildings will be tall as well as the mountains. Looking back at the concept art that they released last year for Disneyland it kinda felt like the land was a bit small but it was suitable. Now looking at this model it feels as if the land is going to be bigger with so much more things to do which actually changed my mind on liking this model than the concept art ☺️👍🏼 I liked your explanation on the different planets/environments in the Star Wars galaxies & I think that's why a lot of people like Star Wars. With that being said, creating a new land & a new environment with different characters & creating a different immersive story can be challenging & that's why I give kudos to the Imagineers. 👏🏼
Im sad because they destroy half of the river and the original plan of walt disney is gone or maybe i sick of star wars every where the last place i wanna see it is disneyland
To be honest, i'm not that impressed with it, it didn't blow me away. It actuall reinded me of te entrance to Isalnds of Adventures, just with a few rocks in there. It looks pretty boring to be honest. And that ride thing which they have is a just a copy f the Star Tours 80's ride. Sorry Disney, not good enough.
Yeah...this looks super generic. It any location from this model actually in any of the movies? No specific locations from Naboo or Tattooine, nothing from Coruscant or Geonosis...no Ewok village, no Cloud City locations...not all it's cracked up to be, really. Non-specific "space-ish" locations...not Star Wars.
All I care about is that they have Sand people walking around all over the place doing their "donkey-yells" errrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.....er..er...errrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!
Ive been a Starwars fan since the 80's, but this last movie (The Last Jedi) just ruined it for me... I'm officially done with it all. I was exited about this Starwars Land project, but now I don't even want to hear about it anymore.😔

This land is going to be SO AMAZING!!!!!
Harry Potter just wet his pants.
Kidding aside, this looks SO immersive. Thank goodness the sidewalks are wide, the crowds will be insane.
And I'm very excited now
HOLY CRAP THATS SO AWSOME
Never thought i would throw my fist in the air and scream yeah over a UA-cam video pn my phone
End Secret it's overwhelming the happiness I feel when I watch this video
Can honestly say not much of a Star Wars fan beyond the original movies, back like a hundred years ago, but this new planet looks absolutely AMAZING!
The zoom ins on these little figurine models are actually kind of funny. I'm sure it will be impressive in life size when it's built.
If I ever go to Disneyland again, I will spend all day here or try to see everything I can.
Yo the lines for the Falcon are gonna be INSANE....
Although, if the Han Solo movies bombs (which is looking likely) that may help ease the crowd a bit once the initial excitement wears off.
Wait From This Point: 820 Minutes
Ehh but this park is probably gonna open at around the time Episode 9 puts out it's first teaser trailer, which will likely have the Falcon in it. (Unless it gets destroyed in The Last Jedi, which hopefully it doesn't.) That will get people hyped up again for basically everything Star Wars related.
Don't you mean *when* the Han Solo movie bombs?
Well yes...
Holy massive! I didn't realize just how large the expansion was going be! Hollywood studios is stepping up its game!
This just looks so incredibly amazing, I cannot wait...just so excited about all the changes coming our way!
Man this looks so awesome!!! I can't wait!!!! :D
OMG i cant wait im going to go there when it opens up
So darn excited!!! This totally makes up for the loss of SW Weekends! :-D
OMG IM SO EXCITED TOO BAD IT WILL BE SUPER CROWDED WHEN IT FIRST OPENS.
i will go .. lots .. however, there will be wall to wall of people barely able to move 10 feet in 10 minutes ... this will undoubtedly be one of the most visited area's of the park of one of the most busiest theme parks ever for an indefinite period
Very cool looking
I CANT WAIT TO GO TO STAR WARS LAND. SO EXCITED!!!!
Beautiful!
Star Wars land going to be crazy awesome
I LOVE THIS!!! I really hope that we also get a model for Toy Story Land.
I liked the video
Went to Pandora this past week and not once did I see Mickey in the land, I'm soooo glad! I hope Mickey is not in Star Wars Land!
26humor26 May the Mouse be with you.
26humor26 well why would he.? It makes no sense for Mickey to be in his unthemed parts of the park
26humor26 I'm sure the only time we MAY see him is on pins or something wearing a Darth Vader mask or dressed as Luke Skywalker. I hope not, but that's my assumption
Only jedi mickey
What about Darth Goofy? I would LOVE to see him
Are the food vendors going to serve blue milk?
If they did I would flip
Yes they are
Or green
blueberry quick
Mint Quick? what was the old McD's Shamrock Shake?
I am too excited, I am a huge Star Wars fan. Glad I am not alone in that. LOL
That's awesometastic! I know where my 2019 vacay will be now. Btw what's the BGM from? Rebels?
I LOVE STAR WARS i LOVE THIS park
I prefer the layouts over the models because I can see what everything is and exactly where it is
PAN SLOWER!!! Or, record in 60fps please!
seriously LOL that shit was annoying me
Looks pretty cool! Which building houses the two AT-AT's?
Awesome! Also just because, 4th.
Good for you lol
starwars will truely go on forever only thing is will be able to afford it
I want to see more of the Gungans and Planet Naboo.
Yes!!!!✨🌟💫
I want this in my house!
So fricken cool
This looks amazing!!! When is it opening :)??
Sometime in 2019.
This better be a map in Battlefront II
Reviewster That would be amazing!
If I can walk in the Millennium Falcon, I'm *SOLD!*
how will this fit in 14 acres at Disneyland?
Carefully.
This looks awesome. My only negative comment: Too bad the twin suns won't make it into the finished park. Now if they come up with a way to do it, suns or moons or both, I will personally promote this place for Disney. For whatever that's worth. Lol.
We'll just have to create another sun.
The whole structure is Very interesting idea!! But I have some suggestions though...

well, What do you think? :-)
Ok Jude Gross. I know that.
Thanks for the information. Just my opinion to spice up the park a little more. ;-)
there's a Resistance A Wing,Air Turret,X Wing,Corvette Ship?.
All this for only two rides and a shopping area?
So, in Disneyland, Anaheim, where is this star wars land going to be placed?
Back left corner of the park, behind Critter Country / Rivers of America / Frontierland.
Anybody know who and what the music used in the background is? It's a really good substitute for the official SW soundtrack!
My big question is what is this music? ....I've never heard it before in any Star Wars flick ....is it possibly new? Sounds reeeeally Williams-esque
Will there be a parade route? LOL
Wow, that's big. So does anyone know yet if Disney plans to move Star Tours into the new Land?
I have no idea... but I'm assuming they will. Why spread Star Wars all over the parks when there's a designated land for it
Disney stays doing THAT
OMG this is going to be awesome. Unfortunately I'm too far from US......
Is this model for BOTH Disneyland and WDW? Or is this just for one of them? Also, does anyone know if this is a specific planet from the Star Wars universe or just a made up one for the park?

It is said this will be a new world we have not seen before, possibly from an upcoming movie.
This model is for both, but the entrances are Disneyland specific. There will be different entrances to the land at WDW
star wars land is just made up in disney world florida and disneyland anaheim.
made up.

When does this open?
I don't know what month but it will be in 2019.
Wowww ,i wish japan will have this
WooHoo!!
Scooter, I'm beginning to fit some of the pieces together. It's going to be so much larger than what I thought they could fit in there!
I agree! Looks so HUGE!!
How the heck are they gonna do all that in two years?!
The attractions are completely buried/covered! Crazy!!
I have to wonder if that wreckage is going to be a part of the BE queue? Would be kinda cool!!
Will I ever visit Disneyland again with Star Wars Land there? --- Depends what the imagineeeer... I mean shareholders dream up.
3:06 new A-Wing?
*Faints from intense hype*
The all New "Star Wars Battlefront" Airsoft ground!
i can't imagine how much fresh air will be produce their, cuz there's a lot of trees.
Gift Shops!!!!
Looks like some Middle Eastern compound area....
What music is this?
.. if you ever need a decent camera op ..
where are the AT-AT's?
They are inside a building.
No AT-AT?
It's inside a building.
where's the At-At at that we've seen being built
Shelby Hodder It's going to be inside the attraction. You're not gonna see them from the outside
This looks awesome and I'm glad that they are putting in the life-sized "classics" like the Millennium Falcon, X-Wing and the Tie Fighter in the park but what about the SUPER iconic AT-AT Walker? I was expecting more hi tech. At the moment its more like downtown Tunisia or Aladdin's World. :(
Think about it, and wait for it,.. OMG, it just hit me,..? I best you, George Lucas, will be there for the Grand Opening,.. I am not missing out on this, one, folks. It s just around the corner,..! They need to make a "Steam Punk" City, next,..!

Blah wars land belongs at Universal along with goonies of the galaxy.
