I really wish Vudu was still part of Walmart. I really liked getting 10% discount on purchases.
What I really miss is the now-gone Disc + Digital pre-order option VUDU used to have with Walmart... where you could get the Digital early, to watch instantly, and then Walmart would send you the physical Blu-ray set in the mail when the movie released in stores. That was AWESOME!
10% is literally not even a discount.
@@Yakerbb I’m sure it actually is 10% but a 10% discount may as well not be a discount. That’s something you tack on to make the customer feel special and like they’re getting away with a good deal when in reality they’re basically paying full price anyway.

I don’t get the hate. Their hdx and 4K is excellent quality and they run good sales
The amount of sales are amazing. No subscription fee is a huuuuge plus. Being able to curate your own personalized on demand streaming library is sick 👍🏼 been loving vudu since the beginning and they only keep getting better with the lists and soon movie ticket discounts with purchases I think? Won’t be frequenting a theater in a while but I appreciate their free with ads subscriptionless model and ability to bleed into actual cinema experiences with fandango now.
The only thing I can think of is perhaps the inconsistent setups on different devices. (On my phone, I can see my watchlist, but not on my laptop. For my phone, I can see sales, but on my laptop the sales don't show up unless you click on the film/show.)
I don't share nearly as much hate as the general populace, but I still realize that it has shortcomings.
Plus they put Disney studios movies on sale! For cheap!

Disc to Digital needs more eligible titles. Most of my library just isn't eligible or unavailable in Vudu's catalog.

Agree, but this is because of the studios, not VUDU. Disney will never participate in this for example because they'll never sell their movies digitally for $2-5. Even when VUDU has Disney sales they never go below $10.
@@tompollockjr144 Yeah, it's unfortunate. In addition to letting us actually "own" digital content, I wish studios would be more flexible on this.

ALL I WANT is the return of merging vudu libraries with other vudu accounts. Me and my girl both have vudu accounts, with many movies each. But we want to connect them so they sync libraries together so we don’t have to use 2 accounts to view them all.. vudu used to have this feature but removed it for some reason. Bring it back and I’ll be happy
This is an amazing feature. Anyone’s two accounts should be able to be merged. They could put a limit so only two or three so it keeps people from sharing accounts but ultimately if multiple account holders keep purchasing and adding to the merged collection isn’t that a good thing?
I think that was a myuvvu feature that went away when they shut down. I'm not sure vudu had a say in it but I agree it was a nice feature.
@@StefanWalczak yeah they had a limit of 5. And a LONG period in between removing one and adding another (after you have 5 already) so you couldn’t abuse it as easily. But it really was amazing. I had mine linked with my sisters, and I did atleast get to keep what was already synced over (surprisingly) but now I can’t sync with my girls so like we have to switch accounts constantly to watch different things and it’s a real pain to login/out of accounts.
@@JuanMartinezColon no it was through vudu itself! The ultraviolet website linked accounts with other companies. Kinda like what movies anywhere does now. But it didn’t allow for syncing between two vudu accounts. It linked like vudu with flixster or whatever
@@Nathan35077 I guess you may be correct that vudu had the same feature but I recall setting up my mom's, brothers and my wife's account on myuvvu under sharing so that anyone of us could add uv titles and we'd all be able to watch them.
I want to download my movies to keep on USB, i paid for them & there shouldn't be any reason i cant do that.
Maybe that's a reason on how they get us making you think that you can do anything with our so called "movies we purchased."
Need to be able to purchase directly from the app instead of having to go to a separate website just to make a purchase when on a mobile device

Vudu desperately needs to upgrade their sound. Dolby Digital in 2021 is ridiculous.

Yep, don't understand the intermittent haters ..... the Vudu interface is pretty damn good compared to the others ....md2d is a winner, I couldn't get it to convert at my address, but updated my billing address to a friends house and it works perfectly there now
Please make a Virtual reality app on Steam and the Oculus store. I have friends from all over United States and we meet in VR to watch 3d movies on the Big Screen app and VR Chat app. We all have Vudu and we collect movies. There is so much demand for Vudu to come to Virtual Reality. Netflix and Hulu have been doing it forever now. All the sports network are available in the Oculus store as well. Vudu, you are a dinosaur in this aspect. Someone else will come from nowhere and will create a VR movie service and will get all of my money before Vudu's executives wake up to the fact that Virtual Reality is the future of entertainment.
LOVE VUDU! Especially w/Moviesanywhere!! My only major issue is sound quality consistency on PS4, TIVO, 4K etc. Sometimes the sound mix is way off and/or you’ll have to constantly raise/adjust the volume. Otherwise 450+ movies and going.
Vudu is like the Steam of movie streaming!

Mine has the option to do so when I pick a title from the "Continue" section under "My Vudu". It asks if I want to "Resume, Start Over, or Remove from Watchlist". I don't know for sure, but maybe it depends on what device you're running the app on...
I do like Vudu, this streaming service doesn't get enough credit.
Is there an option to upgrade my owned HDX copies to UHD?
Yes. If you own a movie in HDX and you look at the details. If it shows a buy option, then that buy would upgrade to UHD. Not available on every movie though.
Yes, But you have to pay full 4k price I believe.
There should be a discount on the 4k when you own hdx for sure. Rebuying at full price would suck.

I would say you really have to keep your eyes peeled for 4.99 sales or 2 for 9.99 or 3 for 14.99 deals in UHD. Not an easy feat to keep track of but if you are patient you willl be rewarded.
VUDU was created by WALMART which combine it with movies anywhere and now with Fandango which now bares main logo other than part which still says VUDU.
Really miss the filters. Please bring those back. So cool to show my kids some R movies without the content that's make it an R rating.
Seriously? That was the ONLY reason I bought Rain Man. Stupid corporations thinking removing features is what people want these days. Now I'll have to ask for a refund.
What sucks is that to convert dvd to digital, you have to turn on your location and must match your shipping address. Vudu doesn’t recognize my shipping address so I can’t use this feature to convert Disc to Digital, makes me upset. Please have another way to fix this, Vudu.
I use a PO Box for my billing and was never able to use disc to digital until I realized I could use a Walmart gift card and I could make the billing zip my house. But shortly after that, they sold to Fandango and now don’t accept Walmart gift cards. So I buy visa gift cards and put them on my PayPal and use that. It might work. You could try making the address for your gift card a friend’s/family member’s house and see if it works from there!

I know it works for many people, but for rest of us, it fails every single time and says we aren't are at home, even though we are. Fix your broken system!!!
Disc to Digital needs to be broadened. Most of my titles will not convert. I would also like to know if you've strictly gone digital? I really relied on buying disc + digital and having it shipped to my home. Thank you 😊

"Over 2000 Movies & TV shows" yeah right, they are missing a ton of TV shows. And even when they do have those shows, you have to hope they have all the season, and hope that the episodes are in the right order.

Please bring back the rotten tomatoes ranking feature
Most importantly, please provide the movie viewer RT ratings and not just the critic ratings. Critic ratings can be substantially different than the "crowd". To be fair show us our peer ratings. I've felt duped too many times buying a 100% RT rating only ti find out the crowd thought it was total garbage. Stop withholding the crowd scores.
Dolby vision is gone on the app ?
I've noticed since this merger some of my movies and tv shows now lag and freeze while still playing audio..

Man vudu needs a security update like a 2nd authentication. And tgey should set up their own profiles for people using your account. But still have access to your movies i do like the option that you can set up a pin. Thats good but no 2nd authentication and profiles like come on thats easy why be lazy about that

Convert your own disc to digital doesn’t work! It’s geo locked, and doesn’t know where you are.
It can be challenging, but it comparers the payment info's billing location with your mobile device's location. Sometimes my wife's phone would work when mine wouldn't...
What's actually different? Everything looks the same to me.
Actually there are less options now, they removed the filtering R content for kids, and we can no longer buy physical +digital copies at the same time. I still love Vudu and having my own lists with no subscription fees.
@@davsdf1 that's somewhat lame not being able to buy the physical and digital copy anymore but I've gone to just buying digital these days and have like 400 movies so I can't really complain.

Converting disc to digital is ANYTHING but easy. You keep telling me I need to be at home to do this and my address needs to match my billing address. Guess what... IT DOES!! Such a joke
I can tell you it's most likely so you don't go into a store and try to scan a brand new movie to digital and pay much less for it.

I get that, however, it I'd not very effective if I'm literally at home and it's telling me my address does not match. I've verified both my billing address and my GPS. It's a little ridiculous to make it THAT difficult.

Now hopefully they can fix the desktop application. It's had issues for years.
For reference, the Windows app works, but VUDU To Go still has issues with not showing the picture in fullscreen unless you start playing, exit, the player, and then reopen it. It also has issues with sometimes the buffering watermark staying on the screen while playing downloaded movies.

... and a great selection of foriegn titles, too! They have a TON of awesome(and new) Asian titles that I can't find on any other streaming service. Lotsa cool stuff from South Korea... that's what keeps me coming back to Tubi. 👍

Their disc to digital is freaking joke. My address does match my billing..phone good, maps mT he's address..ALL location settings checked. Contacted vudu to fix...says they're working on...that was JUNE. Ive contacted them since..SEVERAL occasions asking for status, because they say
