Lotus Flower Crisp is made using a technique similar to flaky pastry which is a common cooking technique in Chinese pastry. The principle is to add butter or lard between every two layers of pastry. Then stack them up, shape, refrigerate , and then fry in hot oil to let the butter or lard melt away, achieving a blooming effect, similar to a lotus flower in bloom.

But the tools used often from the most simple ones that have been around hundreds of years, to the fanciest of hight tech gadgets, they fundementally do the same thing, even if its faster or more effiecient in some ways for newer stuff, its still possible if the same effect is created.

this all feels very much doable. the almond tofu in particular is much less complicated than i thought, and really the only real hassle from the lotus crisps is the rolling part. genshin legit needs to release a cookbook because i would try to make all of this.

you could replace with some other flowers that are available in your area! Chamomile, for instance.

This is very well done. The atmosphere and the clothes make it seem like it’s being prepared in liyue.
Man thes types of videos really do help with the world building of genshin, even outside of the game. Its things like this that help players feel more immersed and connected with the cultures of that fictional world while also showcasing culstures from real places in a new way. I personally think it's not really about loving, I might be wrong, but since they're chinese they obviously know the most about their own culture and to properly showcase other regions' tradition they would have to contact outsiders, which they could do, especially since I don't think they lack the money to do such things, but I guess it comes down to how willing they are.
For their music at least they do not hold back, calling orchestras from other counties to perform

I love these Gourmet Videos! When I saw the finished "Lotus Flower Crisp" I audibly gasped. They look so beautiful and much too pretty to be eaten. And that "Almond Tofu" looks so cute and tasty. Also, the patience of that chef...couldn't be me!
I was so wildly confused by everything until I realized it was Xaio's signature version of Almond Tofu and then realized it was inside Wanmin restaurant where he was cooking. They built a whole stove replica just for this video 🥺 it was beautiful
