Unclear - I have the Ottocast that renders CarPlay wireless in my Toyota 4Runner. But when I want to watch UA-cam, I can only see it on the phone. Will this device allow me to route UA-cam to my CarPlay (Toyota) screen? Or do I have to have my AppleTV box plugged in as well? And how did you get the AppleTV signal? Via WiFi?
Hello Dr Joe, you will need a device that will push hdmi video out as well, such as an Apple TV, fire stick, etc. I will use a usb c to hdmi adapter and it works well for my iPhone 15 to stream UA-cam from my iPhone to this Ottocast
@@davidmiranda2706absolutely you can, mine is a 2014 as well and I installed CarPlay myself, fairly easy! White Automotive and Media has a HMI you can purchase and swap out, I’ve got a good video on the whole process, check it out in my channel
