Hey Dennnis, the Olympic Zebra 4000 is a cookie cutter copy of the early Ryobi " Powerful" series, I have a Ryobi Powerful # 3, and the body shape, crank handle, anti-reverse lever, and the "bang bail" are nearly identical, they're O.K. reels , I still use my Ryobi from time to time, but like most Japanese reels of that era become a bit loose and noisy from decades of use. Keep the "Finds" coming as I am now in recovery, ( reel-a-holic)
I’ve seen these Zebra reels on EBay but never bought one. I have one of those Daiwa 955 reels. They’re very similar to a Roddy I have. Those are some beautiful Centaure Pacific reels. Ted Williams became the Sears brand around 1962. They retired the J. C. Higgins brand. He was an employee of Sears. I have that Daiwa 7300H reel. It is a very nice reel. Scott is definitely building quite the collection. -- Chris
Great video Dennis! I picked up another Penn 4/0 Senator in great shape but passed on a 50's looking green Ocean City Spinning Reel. (Now I'm regretting leaving it behind). 🤣
I almost didnt buy that $5 Ted Williams reel as a big time Yankees fan but since I grew up as a Washington Senators Fan and Ted was our coach, I had to buy it! If Frank Howard had a reel, I would have bought that one!!!
Hi Dennis, Great Scott finds !! Wow... They're all good. Came across a 70s 308 Garcia Mitchell in perfect unused condition. And more lures?!! Will continue working on the "project" this week. Best Regards, Cons
I guess I need you to make a video on how to actually catch fish because apparently I forgot how, went out for catfish yesterday for 8 hours and couldn't get a single bite 😆

It looks very similar to the ryobi when I had it open. I will be posting the video soon - Thanks - Dennis
those are in great shape for their age
Yes they are. You need to be selective when buying and a lot of times you can find the good ones mixed in with the bad and the ugly

Sounds like the 300 series on the OC reel. They are nice. You should find others around - Be well - Dennis

That's a beauty - I was able to do it, but did not have time for the video - Thanks Scott

Sounds great! I want to know when you will take that 308 fishing! Opening day yesterday. Don't miss out!

I'm not sure I can help with that!
Please can you pull the camera back (or something) to widen the field of view - often half the reel is missing from the top.
I will try to do better
@@2ndChanceTackle Thanks Dennis, I love your vids, but end up shouting ''I can't see move the ******************** camera'' 😁
