Hi Bobby from the US. How much is gas for your car where you are? I just got gas at a Wawa today and it was three dollars and sixty nine cents per gallon.
Hey Bobby, right now fuel is around £1.50 a litre, there is 3.785 litres in a US Gallon so £5.67 a gallon which is about $7.05 USD. Not far off twice what you paid!
There isn't a straight piece of metal on the exterior of a bug... its ALL compound curves, so unless you want to spend an inordinate amount of time bumping and blocking, satin is a great way to go. Unpretentious, simple, easy to repair/touch up, and as it weathers it looks better (to some of us). I think it came out quite nice.
@@hayburnertv I have a 70 Cuda AAR clone with nice paint. I am VERY concerned about driving it and where I park it. Also have a 65 GTO with daily driver quality paint and bod, its still shiny but the car I started with was so rough it will forever be a driver, and it has the scratches and dents to prove it. Then there is the 68 LeMans, its satin and I did it with cheap tractor enamel, $60 a gallon and I only bumped a couple big dents out of it. If it weren't for the engine sticking out of the hood, I would park it anywhere. If its too nice, you can't have fun driving it. I think that bug is gonna be perfect for having fun.
Nice, love a black beetle

Are the screens for deluxe vs standards the same size
They are the same yeah, it was more about chrome and trim levels at this age
