About us:
We're Jack & Megan, and in late 2020 we sold our belongings and packed our lives into our 2005 Toyota Troop Carrier to travel Australia. Our original plan was to complete a full lap of Australia and return home to Perth to resume our 'normal' lives. We decided we wanted to document our lap for the future and began sharing weekly travel vlogs of our life on the road and fell in love vlogging, filmmaking and sharing our lives with you. We completed our first lap and couldn't imagine living any other way so we decided to continue travelling and calling the Troopy home. We have gone on some crazy adventures since then and it is all thanks to you tuning in to join us every week.
Thanks for watching everyone, hope you enjoy this weeks episode. If you’re keen to check out what Skillshare have to offer, make sure you use our link for 1 month free - skl.sh/jmxploring10211

Thanks legend!
Great job guys! Enjoyed watching
Thanks mate! Glad you enjoyed it 😊
Beautiful under water footage Megan. Glad to see that you guys have packed your “ bickering “ recovery gear in the troopy!
Love it (bickering recovery gear) 😂😂
"Megan-tron" I like that. 😁 The turtles seeing them naturally like that is mesmerising. Another fantastics episode. 👍 Regarding canyon vs gorge, in terms of the proportions, a canyon is considered larger than a gorge. They are both deep valleys, but a canyon is often wider compared to a gorge. The term gorge is at times used to describe ravines.
Thanks for that mate we did a little research after and it all makes sense now 😂 the turtles are amazing hey!
Great video and a Blokes Advice T subscribed brother. 👍🏻 Bullara and the whole area are something special for sure. Take care.
Thanks legend!
Amazing place, Exmouth is beautiful...Amazing beaches...Some day i'll visit that place...Greetings from Venezuela!

Thanks K the turtles are always a highlight amazing creatures! 😂 the watermelon is definitely something different.
Great vid guys, just a handy hint for you Megan, it looked like your goggles fogged up, just spit inside the lenses and rub it around with finger then rinse it out before putting them on. 👍
Thanks for that will give it a try next time round! 😊👍

I would love to see turtles so close, amazing experience ❤️
I really enjoy your videos and your travels. Simple is the best!
It was an awesome experience Celia! You have to do it one day 😊
@Jack & Megan what beach to see the turtles, we are planning to be in Exmouth end of Jan to early Feb.. may I also ask do you need a 4wd to explore Cape range and to go to Mesa Beach? And how many days should we allow to explore Cape range? Many thanks in advance.
awesome video guys 🤙
Cheers mate!
Terrific video, if you like Calamari try this recipe: 50/50 lemon pepper & curry powder, then add to Panko bread crumbs.
Put your calamari into a beaten egg or two depending how much you have.
Hot oil in a wok, add the calamari one piece at a time as you go round the circle of the wok. By the time you get the last one in the first is ready to eat. Try it, we do it every Christmas as an entree.
Thanks for the tip Neil! We will definitely give this a shot. 👍
Amazing place.
😊😊
16:03 I’m probably a little late for your offer, that being said Thankyou for taking the time to explain your sponsor SKILLSHARE. Most people on UA-cam don’t give an explanation about what their sponsors offer, and in that case I’m generally not interested in finding out. But you explained it beautifully and it got me interested, I am starting out in photography, and saw via your information that they have a DLSR course! So I’m very interested to give that a go, and check out some more!
Thanks so much for the feedback Chris! This was our first ever sponsored video so that is really good to know! Skillshare really is a great platform and we have learned so much from it.
Spent nine months at the Harold E. Holt US Naval Communications Station - Exmouth Western Australia.
Interesting place, greatbeaches, great diving - love the beer, be safe, stay healthy.
Thanks for watching John! Stunning place isn't it!
Hi J & M, just discovered your channel. Was in Exmouth 7 days ago and loved the oysters on the breakwater. Had an extra 7days there in isolation with Covid, but what the hell, the weather was sublime and the Cape Range blew us away. The scale of the ravines was fabulous.
Its a beautiful place isn't it!! our favourite is defiantly oyster stacks! Thanks for watching Otto.
Tried your famus Tuna recipe the other day was delish Thanks Good vid as well
That’s so good to hear Terry! Glad you enjoyed it!
Thank you Love 💕 your videos You are so entertaining
Thanks for watching Patrick 😊
I’m a fun already! I’ve been dreaming for this adventure for a while.
You should definitely do it! Best time ever 🙌🏼
nice one guys !!
👍😊
Congratulations on the sponsor, which just proves your producing quality episodes 👍
Thanks mate we are so stoked to have a sponsor on the video we have worked very hard to get to this stage! 😬
The drone Footage is spectacular
That squid salad looked delicious, have to try that one.
It’s delicious!
Very nice place
😊
Literally just came back from a trip to Exmouth and Bullara a few days ago! What beach were those turtles at? Can't believe we didn't go there! Great video guys 😊
Thanks for watching Jabe! There is a point of interest pin on wiki camps called turtle resting area, if you're on your way out of Cape Range it's about 5-10 minutes after Yardie Homestead. Was so amazing to see!
Cool videos, loved.)
Thanks mate so glad you enjoyed it! 😊👍
@@itsJackandMegan You are very welcome:)
Always freeze squid or cuttlefish before cooking. Makes it far more tender when you cook it.
I always freeze overnight then thaw out in milk the enzymes help tenderise also.
Thanks for the tip! We are newbies when it comes to cooking squid.
Another crackin' episode guys
Thanks mate! 😊👍
How about Not as busy.
Lol love ya work.
Can't wait to see that part of Oz
It really is a stunning part of the world! Thanks for watching mate
Just found you guys. Love it 🍻
Thanks for watching mate!
Another amazing vid guys! We've been following since the start of the year. The filming and editing skills are getting so good!
Jack, we need to know why you don't swim??? It's killed us since we first realised Megan is always swimming alone - WHY!?!?
Thanks for following along guys! And thanks for the feedback 😊 I do swim just had some bad experiences when I was younger and still a little scared to jump in but working on it! 😂
@@itsJackandMegan oh no!! 😩 maybe just steal the noodle from Megan then 😉
Great video
Thanks Jason! 👍😊
Tortuga 🐢 wow
Greetings from North Texas!!!
Was so amazing to see them all! Thanks so much for watching 🙏
also you should get some braid on that fishing rod reel and then just use a clip to the squid jig .. you can use leader but not really needed ..
Yeah I gotta get a proper setup hey!
Here you go.....In terms of the proportions of the two, a canyon is considered larger than a gorge. They are both deep valleys, but a canyon is often wider compared to a gorge. The term gorge is at times used to describe ravines which are narrower than canyons. ... Often, gorges are associated with rivers while canyons are not
Thanks Rick this is exactly what Megans Mum said when we were chatting with her very interesting!
@@itsJackandMegan I learned something also as I thought a gorge was more of a dead end. One way in and out. I was never good at geography 😂
Thanks so much guys, when I saw your petrol guage Jack, I was sure you wouldn't make it to a petrol pump, how far did you have to go? You were so lucky. ⛽⛽⛽.
turtles were unreal, so close and so many. 🐢🐢🐢🐢. The snorkeling, footage was so good Megan and the water was so clear. 🐡🐠🐟. Well done guys. ❤🇦🇺🦘
We drove a further 30kms couldn’t believe we made it!
Wonderful kids thank you
Congratulations
You master chef very good
My from is Ecuador Nice to meet you
😊 Thankyou for watching!
Thumbs up 👍🏾 thanks
Cheers Matt!
That was your best yet :):):):) saying that every week
Thanks Kerri! Glad you enjoyed it 😊
We go to Kurrajong and Osprey every year, usually in May, Kurrajong the best snork, go out to just before the breakers, you will not be disappointed.
We will have to get back there next year to check out the snorkelling at Kurrajong!
Make sure U book, I'm booking for Osprey and Kurrajong next May, need to secure a site 26 weeks ahead.
Geez. You guys eat better on the road than I do living at home. 👌
Thanks guys.
Marty from Perth
Cheers Marty!
Oyster Stacks is our absolute favourite snorkelling spot
Show good is it hey! So clear.
hey guys, great vid, love squid aka calamari - so jealous, straight from the water into your belly yummmmm
you may not have seen it but I mentioned in a previous vid that you need to fit a switch to link the aux battery so you don't need to run that dodgy piece of wire to start the engine when the main battery is flat.
Yep I gotta do that still it’s weird some days it’ll start but others it won’t can’t figure the bloody thing out!
maybe a loose wire/cable on the battery/starter or starter battery on it's way out............? 🤔🤷
Anothee specky episode. Can't wait to get back over to WA.Used to live in Carnarvon when I was 3 during Apollo missions.Did Monkey Mia in 92 .
Carnarvon is a great place monkey Mia has become very busy now we gave it a miss this time round.
I also free camp by the Telstra mast on Charles Knife. No that canyon view well. Enjoy
Didn’t realise we could camp there we ended up staying in the rac caravan park.
There's a few stealthy's on Charles Knife, better than spending $60.00 in Exmouth. We're completely self contained in a motorhome so can free camp or national parks. Enjoyed your podcasts.
Hey mega-trim- jack love your video’s look forward to you each week?can tell us is that a rooftop tent or just a pop up room?and are you going to be at this year’s 4wd and adventure show?many thanks?
Hey Russell thanks for watching! We did a roof conversion on the troopy with an alu-cab tent! Has been the best mod to the car 🙌🏼 we aren't attending as creators but are definitely keen to go for a look ourselves considering we'll be in Perth when it's on!
There’s a Self serve Shell service station 10 kms out of Exmouth that has diesel up to 17 cents a liter cheaper
Will have to remember that next time we’re there! 🙌🏼
Love the Troopy. HDJ?
Hey mate it’s a 1hz.
hi excellent , a quick tip on your mask , a little bit of spit rub it around on the interior lens and rinse in the sea water will prevent them from fogging up
Thanks for the tip Justin! We are absolute noobs when it comes to snorkelling so we're keen to get a bit more practice in!
also I have another question.. if you guys didn't have a rear bar swing away tyre carrier. where would you put your gas bottle and Jerry's of water / fuel ? the roof?? I don't have that much realestate left up there with my setup
I’d chuck the gas bottle on the roof and have a water tank under the car.
A beer for breakfast ha😅
Probably been asked before but why don't you swim Jack? Wicked episode!
That redarc mod is worth making permanent with a momentary switch on the dash.
Yeah definitely going to run a wire helps when winching aswell.
You guys have the same bamboo bowls as us! How good are they? 😂
We do 😂😂 they’re so popular hey we love them because they’re so durable!
@@itsJackandMegan they are, we use them for everything. Cereals, curries, noodles, spaghetti, the list goes on 😆
Gold in that gorge
👍😊
running on fumes !! 2L haha
😂 was very risky!
Guys, I’m currently paying $211.5 for diesel in Adelaide
JMxploring. Were did you get your maxtrack holder from?
Hey Jan it is from Quick Pitch in Perth! Definitely recommend!
Squid = Free food :-)
👍
Another good Ep guys, thnx. What’s the name of the beach ?? Thnx Rob
Jack, your Fav beach?
Mesa beach! There’s a campground there too. It’s a bit boggy to get onto but no dramas if you let your tyres down!
Where did u get ur armrests from with the landcruiser on them ?
They are from 70series store they’re on Instagram. They’re brilliant.
@@itsJackandMegan we got some from one stone but i like the landcruiser on the side
are there crocodiles on the west coast of that exmouth area ?? like cape york?? or nah just sharks n box jelly fish ?
Nuh mate just sharks and not to sure about box jelly fish.
How do you book camp there ??
WA National parks website 👍
If you Google Park Stay WA and search Cape Range National park you can book from there 😊
do you think yous will do a trip around tassie
100%! Looks amazing there. We're hoping to get over some time next year!
I know exactly how you feel when you snorkel for the first time in ages…I always hyperventilate too! 😳😳😳😳
Glad I'm not alone on that one! Scared the crap out of me last time haha
should get some padlocks on your top box exspecially for insurance better to be safe than sorry .. I do on mine ..
Yeah you got a point I got the locks in the car ready to go as well 😂
What is the brand of the black bathers?
Seafolly but they're about a decade old 🙈😅
