I ordered this as soon as you first showed it. The one thing I wish it had/did would be for the cap to magnetically or by cord stay connected. I can see myself forgetting or losing it.
Yeah, that would be really nice if they had a cap that stayed attached to the cord. The original one didn’t come with a cap so maybe people’s connections were getting banged around and they thought it was needed to put a cap on there I don’t know.
This was a kickstarter product like 4 or so years ago. It had better colors, finishes and packaging back then. Perhaps slightly better build quality too. Functionality still good, as long as it lasts more than 2 years.
It's a specialty device. I think of this as something for emergency uses not something you're going to use on a everyday basis. So when you're in a pinch and this is what you have you may not necessarily care if it's the fastest data cable out there instead you're just happy that you have something that works.

Speed of 480 Mbps, is not acceptable, it is not even USB 3 support!!
