I’m writing a comic with a character who has a prosthetic hand, and the bebionic hand has been my inspiration and it’s so great to find something that can realistically do all these motions
Great attitude positive and grateful your spirit is inspiring puts ability and anatomy into perspective. Very pleased this found a resourceful prosthetic. Blessings sir.
Hi, doing a school project on the bebionic arm. I was wondering what the actual hand is made from? And also what kind of processor(s) it uses, along with the speed and voltage of it/them?
you can contact the manufacturer - Otto Bock Healthcare - www.ottobockus.com. They will have more detailed information for you than we can provide. thank you!
This guy: "My prosthetic hand is finally done! I can fist bump once again!" lol. Thats a pretty nice system, I guess prosthetic hands wont be really awesome until you can plug them straight into your brain.
@@Thlormby but then at that point theyll start to figure out how to make the prosthesis better than human arms and i'll want some. lol. we could have exoskeletons too lol
Cozzi Tbh I don’t see that situation happening for a very long time. Prosthetics are getting much better and much more advanced than what used to basically be a mannequin’s hand strapped to ones arm. But it will be a very long time before they truly surpass the hands you are naturally born with, as prosthetics can only do so much for now and are slow compared to fast reacting hands
@@Thlormby i never like to be too pessimistic when it comes to technology, i mean, 100 years ago we barely had telephones figured out, and there were no computers at all. You never know
And this was 5 years ago. It’s crazy how advanced prosthetics are getting. Now you can literally move them with just sending signals from your brain like you would with a normal limb. Seems like fantasy.
Needs some additional perks. Like something cool a normal hand can't do. Like:... ...built in torchlight ...built in 360° hi speed rotary movement ... built in camera
Hi, does this arm work only for below the elbow amputees? I friend of mine lost his arm just above the elbow and I wanted to know if this would work for him. Thanks!
I have a question you partially answered. I always wondered about below elbow amputee's ability to pronate/supernate. I figured that the structure at the wrist is gone which supports the two arm bones. Without them I figured you're screwed. Whats your experience with this?
Great demo. May I ask? Do you find that it is easy for your arm to come out of the suspension cuff? Do you find that you always need to put it back on? I am an amputee with an I-limb Ultra Revolution and don't have the range of motion. This looks like it does the trick, but thought I would ask you before my prosthetist. Thanks.

Neurons or nerves can be never generated again if it is completely paralyzed if its partially paralyzed there is chance to make them mobile again through different kind of Physio-therapies
Thank you. what is the main source here you have used? I meant what kind of method / technique you have used to detect signals? is this detecting EMG signals or anything else?
Dilhani Dissanayake EMG can be considered while nerves are completely paralyzed if you go for EMG the nerve will regenerate at the rate of 1 inch per month i wish if there was any option to recover nerve loss , partial nerve damage is always recoverable ----But i prefer physio for most of the patients as they were having partial nerve paralysis brachial plexus takes time and then in deep its the motor ones --- while lumbar regenerates at very fast pace so far i treat only 1 case like that and i think it was of stroke ----the rest i come across mostly partial ones i.e radial nerve injury , sciatic peroneal etc other wise in sever cases you might need nerve reconstruction, i.e either cut of or divide it
Thank you very much for your answers. Actually what you have done is really great full. I am trying to collect some information for a presentation. I have created an arm which can be control by elbow and wrist. I also started the project concerning EMG signals. finally what I have done was , it can be controlled without emg signals. which means sensors are working as switches, when they touch the skin it starts readings. I asked those questions to find out some points. as I believed this method can be used for the people who are suffering from nerve disorders. Thank you :)
Writer here. I'm reading up on prosthetic arms because I've got a character who's gonna need one. On avg. how much does something like this cost, and how easy are they to get?
