Coney Island has a family suspended coaster, so I would imagine the “Monsters Inc” will be similar to that. Though it should be noted, the new coaster is actually going into the parking lot. So, Disney actually does not have to close anything until it is ready for testing. It looks like they are using most of the existing infrastructure.
Yeah, muppets closing is heartbreaking, but I’m stoked for the new coaster. And since it’s just a movie really, they could bring it back whenever they want. Fingers crossed!
How about moving Muppet Vision 3D into the Magic Eye Theater at Epcot? It is already a 3D Theater that shows Pixar shorts as filler - a waste of space. The special effects in this theater were amazing. I wonder if they all still operate? Can you imagine the entire theatre shaking during the final explosion of Muppet Vision? This would be a great place to honor Jim Henson as a creative genius. The meet and great areas could be used for Kermit/Miss Piggy, now that Mickey has a new home. The preshow movie could be a tribute to Jim Henson and the evolution of the Muppets- interspersed with a few of the clips from the current preshow. Now that jumping fountains are a thing at Moana, that entire area could be rethemed with Muppet photo-ops like the Miss Piggy Fountain from the curent Muppet Courtyard. And I would sob with joy if I could walk through the old rainbow tunnel while Kermit sings The Rainbow Connection. I think Figment and Kermit would be wonderful neighbors in the Imagination Pavilion.
While this is heartbreaking 😭💔 especially since Muppet Vision 3D was Jim Henson’s last project that he worked on before he passed away, I’m excited for the Monsters Inc Land and the retheme of Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster to be Muppets. I actually think this would be a good idea. Since they are retheming Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster to be The Muppets, why not put Muppet Vision 3D in the show next to it and keep it alive. That way The Muppets can have their own land with two rides. You can still keep Muppet Vision 3D alive. I know they are putting in a villain show there, but why not have the villain show be a limited run thing like for 2-3 years or longer until the villains land is complete in Magic Kingdom, and then you can put Muppet Vision 3D in there and keep it permanently. That way we still preserve the ride that many of us love.
@@InLikeFlynns I honestly think that would be a great idea. That way The Muppets can still have their own land and still keep Muppet Vision 3D alive. Just put it in the space right next door where the villains show is going. That would be literally perfect.
What do you think of the big announcement today? Are you sad Muppet Vision 3D is gone? Are you looking forward to seeing the Muppets at Rockin Roller Coaster? Let me know in the comments.
@@InLikeFlynns yeah that was the last thing Jim Henson actually voiced they need to put Bob Iger you need to put Bob Iger and Josh There's No Tomorrow call Modern ruins
The Monsters theme is uninteresting to me, but yes, the coaster itself will probably be nice. Many of the newer theming is uninteresting to me. For example, I LOVE the Guardians of the Galaxy ride. It is perhaps the best ride I have ever been on. But the theming is totally uninteresting. I just ignore all the displays in the queue. I am like, “This is stupid stuff.” But the ride is great. I do love the theming of the original Walt Disney attractions as it was originally planned. Things were well planned. All parts (attractions, lands, theming, music, etc.) all fit together as a whole. But today it is becoming hodge-podge. Disney World is losing its character. The planned destruction of Rivers of America is the epitome of that. The character of the park was unique, and it was the character of the park which created the magic.
Here's the same thing they did with Ellen's Energy Adventure they turned it into a roller coaster Guardians of the Galaxy Cosmic rewind so now they're doubling down on this so people could go out and get some air and the hot summer sun and and they're doing it again what Disney does best doubling down on something good thing Bob Iger I think of a lot of Disney people would be hating on him
I'm holding out hope that it will be a positive thing in the long term and they will find a home for Muppet Vision 3D somewhere. But if it sucks, I will use your monstrosity land term lol.

That is a very good point actually, especially in terms of the walls and closure times! :)
Great video I’m excited for the coaster retheme and minster inc same time it’s the end of an era with muppet vision which is a special show 😢😢😢😢

I absolutely love the idea. Sometimes don’t you wish you could be an Imagineer and help sway some of their decision making? LOL
Well, looks like they continued to tell me they don’t want my money
I suppose we have different opinions on this announcement I suppose. It’s all good though :)

Yes, exactly. I feel that would be a perfect spot for a Muppets Theater. I wonder if they at least considered it at one point.

I call it monstrosity land
Cute....if it ends up being a dud, that is what I will call it hahaha
@@InLikeFlynns - That small area is currently a dud, so it can only go up from here.
I mean I enjoyed Muppet Vision so I wouldn’t call it a total dud, but I get what you are saying, and yes it should be a huge improvement

We definitely see eye to eye on Rivers of America. That is truly heart breaking. I am excited for Monstropolis though and the new coaster for sure :)
