I did not meet this actor, but one time my family & I were waiting in line for Toy Story Midway Mania. Once we got to the front of the line as we were the next party to board, across the way, I see a cast member in a plaid vest exit a door. Behind her was a family. I did not pay too much attention to the family, but my sister recognized the father. It was actor Blair Underwood who was there as he was a part of the Candlelight Procession most likely as a narrator that year.

We were standing in line at Magic Kingdom in 1995 talking to another guest. He pointed out someone coming down the street and asked if we knew who it was. We were like no, why would we? He said that is Michael Eisner. Mr Eisner was known for visits to the park in disguise evidently to see how regular guests were treated. I thought that was the coolest thing.

You saw Kanye at Disneyland? That’s pretty crazy. I’ve never seen anyone of that caliber.

In 1985, some friends and I went to a Ronnie James Dio concert in Nashville. While we were standing outside the Municipal Auditorium, Johnny Cash was standing near us. He seemed to want people to approach him. We didn't being dumb young people, but he was clearly not trying to avoid encountering young people. Later, I read that his son was into heavy metal, so we figured that was why he was out there in the first place.

That is awesome. Penn and Teller are like this at their shows in Vegas. They come stand out in the hall after the show and openly talk to fans that want to come hang out and chat. It is awesome. In my experience at the parks though, most of the celebrities I witnessed want to be left to their family time, but are mostly polite and smile.

One of my Disney celebrity encounters is the same as yours! I was in line with Nick and Vanessa Lachey to get a Night Blossom at Animal Kingdom, and (also at AK) I once saw Jennifer Nettles (Sugarland) outside of the Finding Nemo show!

That is crazy with the Lachey's. They must be down there a lot. There is a short on the channel from last summer where I have some footage of the encounter. I saw them at Universal, so they must be huge fans of both parks.

My wife had so many encounters at the Emporium when she worked there, but she would never recognize a lot of the until people would tell her afterward who she just helped.

Very interesting. I would enjoy meeting the same people. I think the Disney rules you mentioned regarding celebrities are admirable and respectful. I have met very few but pretty big names. I met Michael W. Smith several years ago and spoke to him at an event in my hometown. I also personally invited and sponsored a Sandi Patty concert in my hometown in 2013. I have met a few politicians but not necessarily bragging about that. And I have seen, in person, four different US presidents but never met them.

I saw Michael W. Smith in concert a few years back. Cool dude. Got to shake his hand and say hi, but that was about it. But you have a pretty cool list of folks you met. And I agree, it is admirable because celebrities deserve some level of privacy and ability to spend quality time with their family and children.

Good vlog, not Disney as such, but built an arcade cabinet for minecon 2013 and Markus 'Notch' Persson rocks up and talks about it, but I had no idea who he was or how significant he was 😮

Its funny the people you meet and have no clue who they are...and you treat them just like you would any normal random person. Then you hear they are a legend in their respective realm, and all of a sudden you're entire perspective changes to amazement. LOL. I spent a long time in the world of Professional Bowling. And I would say 95% of Americans would have no clue who the top 10 bowlers in the world are. And when you see a bowler see one of these guys, its like they are meeting a sports legend...which they really are. But when you are out in public with them, which I have been...they go pretty much entirely unnoticed lol

While working at Disneyland in 1986, Michael Jackson came into the Emporium on Main Street and I just happened to be working at the "gift" counter by myself. He wanted to buy an Italian made porceline Cinderella Coach that was very expensive! He did not speak to me and was wearing a face mask so one guy on his team that surrounded him did the talking. When I brought back the box from the stock room containing the figure and opened it, the figure was broken! Michael gasped and turned away! I did not address him directly and apologized to the gentleman doing the talking and explained I get a new one. Luckily it all worked out and Michael waved at me as he left. I was so nervous ass I was only 19 at the time. I believe Michael was there as we were getting ready to open Captain EO in Tomorrowland but he was known to frequent the park in the mid 80's.

That’s awesome. I actually met Michael Jackson in Las Vegas in the early 2000’s and was locked in a store with him at Caesars for like 45 mins. He was totally cool and talked to me directly. But he did have a manager guy with him
