- Full SpectroMagic night time parade filmed during our family vacation in March 1995.
History:
Spectromagic originally ran from October 1st, 1991 to May 21st, 1999. It went on a brief hiatus while the Main Street Electrical Parade visited Magic Kingdom and then SpectroMagic returned for a second run from April 2nd, 2001 through June 4th, 2010. What replaced it? Yet again, the Main Street Electrical Parade.
SpectroMagic contained 23 units made up of 39 floats and was quite the sight to behold. Unfortunately, Magic Kingdom no longer has a night time parade. Hopefully that changes sometime soon.

Same! I was hoping with the return of Main Street Electrical Parade on the west coast that there would be some momentum to get something back at WDW. Nothing so far but fingers crossed they announce something at D23 in August. 🙂

I loved the vintage Spectro-clowns wearing round masks and bubbling their heads! This was best Disney parade and I wish to see it back one day again!😊

I actually have never seen the SpectroMagic Parade in person. I went to WDW in the 80s as a child. And then I returned to visit the parks again as an adult starting in 2014. So I have great memories of seeing the Main Street Electrical Parade - but never this one. It looks fantastic. I really enjoyed watching it. I hope regular nighttime parades return to Magic Kingdom soon. Thanks for sharing your memories with us!
