Disney's Main Street Electrical Parade - 25 MINUTE FULL HD VERSION from the Front Row!

- I've got over 700 videos on the internet, this one is for my daughters. This is Disney Main Street Electrical Parade - I recorded it with a monopod using a Canon HG10 on "snow" setting. I was wearing a little "strobe" thing around my neck to get the characters to notice me filming and wave at the camera. It worked on a couple of them, Goofy, Minnie, Mickey, Cinderella, Fairy Godmother, etc.
If you have kids, pop this on, my daughters absolutely love this parade and the video, they go nuts when they see it!
Sorry about the long intro, I wanted to capture the entire experience from beginning to end, and didn't want to edit anything out or crop anything. Consider it "building the anticipation" LOL
Enjoy!
geez...what I wouldn't give to see this parade one more time.
I actually worked the parade a few times
when I was little I used to have a plastic toybox with wheels, and I put battery powered christmas lights all over it and my disney plushes on it, and I made a track on the floor through the house with duct tape, and I had a small cassette boom box with one of the Disney Classics tapes in it which had the Electrical Parade song, and I would turn off all the lights in the house at night and push my little toybox wagon around the track path I made, with the music going, to have my own little electrical parade :)
Aww so cute!
+kassie2k4 How nice. No smiley face needed. You made me smile anyway!
that's awesome! :)
kassie2k4 disappointed ghj
Cute :)
I don't know if you ever read your comments, but I just wanted to thank you for the memories. My parents took us to this parade every year when we were children...I am 54 now. My Mom got cancer at 77, her last wish was to go to Disneyland with the family, unfortunately she didn't make it. But I know she was watching this with me...Thanks again for such a great job, I felt like I was there. And to all of the artists, staff and parade performers throughout the generations, you made millions of families happy and to this day you are in our memories...
I read this Vincent. Here's to your Mom! I was a Disney character cast member in Anaheim for many years in 4 different parades. Touching story. Thanks for sharing.
Whenever I hear the "ladies and gentlemen. Boys and girls." I immediately get extremely excited.
Me too
Omg me too!
I love the parade song so much!!!!!!!
😃
Lulu puppy :D same the paint the night parade is an upgrade to the MSEP
cant believe im almost a grown man, and this still gets me excited X)
***** Me, too. I love this video. Brings back such happy memories.
no no no no no............I AM A GRAMMY AND A GREAT GRAMMY AND IT MAKES ME CRY TOO.....ITS OK. its our memories and life. I'm sure we both have had special times at Disneyland and those emotions are forever!
me too

When this parade returned to Disneyland, which is where I grew up going to every year and now work at, I literally bawled like a baby on its reopening night of January 20th. And the weather was GOD AWFUL making the chances of this parade debuting not so good, but those slim odds turned in favor when the weather cleared at 5:30 and gave enough time for cleaning crews to dry the tarmac for the parade to debut on time.
I'm 29 and this parade still makes me emotional.
Oh man, they have to bring this back. I know it's the "Frozen" generation now but this thing is a timeless classic. I remember watching it with my parents when I was a little tike.
This is Disney World, they still have this parade. Never left.
It's not at Disneyland it was at DCA for a little while
So do I, R.I.P Disney’s Electrical Parade (2001-2016)
@@bartsimpsonii9936 Disney’s electrical parade ended in 2009. The name on the drum float is wrong here real name here is Main Street electrical Parade
I have chills just listening to the pre-parade announcements. The anticipation, even for a video of thousands of sparkling lights and electro-syntho-magnetic musical sounds, is incredible.
For some reason I get teary eyed hearing this music. I wish I was back in disney world! Good times :(
Ellie Lopez I feel your pain. I consider it my home now more than anything. Also that’s the Disney blood expressing itself inside us.
Jesus fkn Christ. The Cinderella floats were impeccable. The dancing, the music, the details of the costumes, the stepsisters fighting, the clock..... sheer perfection
Still one of the best Disney shows ever!
I cried watching this, as this parade was THE most magical part of any Disney trip for me as a child! Thank you SO MUCH for putting this up!!!
"Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls..." CHILLS!!!!!!!! I cry every time I hear this, whether it is a video, CD, or in person, sitting on the curb on Main Street USA, which is where I'll be in a few weeks!!
Good lord, this really makes you appreciate how the music frequently and drastically changes during newer parades.
thanks. i am now 57. the last time i saw this parade was when i was about 14 (i think) back in california.
It's good to see it is still delighting kids (and adults) today.
It really brings back memories and still is a pleasure to enjoy. I can still remember the music!
15:30. Always loved the Pan-Hook float. MEMORIES.
HOLY SHIT! I THOUGHT I WAS THE ONLY ONE WHEN I WAS YOUNGER WHO WOULD WAIT SO PATIENTLY JUST TO WATCH THAT FLOAT! Now 8 years later I’m going back and this just filled me with nostalgia
Out of all Disneyland's parades, the Electrical Parade is my favorite❤
I watched this a few times at Disneyland as a kid, and was lucky enough to see it again in Tokyo Disneyland as an adult! I love this parade!
All I ever wanted was that spinning snail to come right up to me. Loved him and the turtle.
When I first saw this I was happy.Disney made my dream come true on that day.And to this day Disney World will always be amazing!💗😢😊
Wow that was great. I haven't seen that since the mid 80's. I use to live in California and went to Disney Land all the time. That parade brought me back in time. Thanks Disney
I still get goosebumps when I hear this soundtrack.
+Rebellious Brony, I thought it was only me! :-)
+Rebellious Brony Jean-Jacques Perry was apparenty surprised when he heard his song played by Disney
Was my first time in disney and in the USA was december me with 23 yrs old and in disney is Xmas before 25th and I tear down when it began was an explosion of emotions I was the first day like be serious enjoy as much as you can and here any one can return to see things differently and even the most adult of the adults can turn to enjoy as a kid
Awwww. Love it. Those were the days when you could get into disneyland, buy lunch and dinner for less than $100
Cindy M hard to believe it now costs that much just for a 1 day ticket for an adult.
I feel so honored to be able to watch this both from Disneyland & Disney World. This area reminds me of where I filmed whole parade a couple years ago
The original song is by Kingsley & Perry! It's called Baroque Hoedown.
I was born in the 80s and this is for me by far the best parade disney has made. I wish is was still going to i could share the magic with my own children. When i watched you video i instanley felt like a kid. Thank you so much for your post.
i'm literally tearing up watching this video. i had an annual pass but i always took it for granted, and when it expired, i was totally devastated. if you have an annual pass to this disney, enjoy it while it lasts!! once it's gone, you'll feel nothing but nostalgia. great video btw! :)
Thank you for this! I just turned 30 this year and this was one of my most vivid and fondest childhood memories. They haven't had this parade at Disneyland in many years so this brings back so much nostalgia. I still tear up and get chills hearing and seeing this.
This is seriously the greatest fucking thing one can experience as a kid. The aural/visual equivalent of an ice cream mountain. Now as an adult, the second that music starts and I see just a glimpse of the first wave of fairies, holy shit. Incredible 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
I'm a grown man and this still gets me all happy and excited haha
It was even MORE FUN actually working the parade crew
Return this to Disneyland please! It was ours to begin with! I'd like my daughter to grow up as I did loving this parade.
It actually started at Magic Kingdom, was sent to Disneyland when WDW got Spectromagic and they returned it to WDW for the anniversary. It was only supposed to run one summer but Spectromagic ended up ruined in storage
Well Magic Kingdom is the most visited, so you'd want to centralize everything important there.
I cried tears of joy while watching this. I remember going to Disneyland as a child with my family and we would sit and watch the Main Street Electrical Parade every night while we were there, every year. It was a favorite of mine, really the only parade I wanted to watch over and over and over again. It was so sad when they removed it from Disneyland. I wish they'd bring it back to stay and not just on limited engagement!
God, I remember seeing this when I was a toddler back in the really early 90's. It was freezing out side, I was bundled in a Minnie jacket, and I was half asleep against my Dad's bony shoulder. I was so mesmerized by all those beautiful lights
Thank you, Walt Disney, for an awesome childhood.
I watched this parade everyday I was in Disney World. One of the best parades!
love this! Brings back wonderful memories as a kid
I really like that last float, or as I like to call it "Oh by the way, I just thought I'd subtly remind you where you are."
A part of Americana
I love the Main Street Electric Parade.
Thanks so much for posting it, Mike!!! Although it's slightly different than the original one I grew up watching in the 1970s, it brought back so, so many wonderful memories of my childhood and watching this with my parents. I'm glad to read I'm not the only one who cried and got goosebumps when they watched this. I have always loved the music too. This parade reminds me of my dear dad, who I miss so much, who loved Disneyland as much as I did and still do. My parents took me to Disneyland so many times growing up. My fiancé proposed to me in front of Sleeping Beauty's castle in October. We're both over 50, proof that Disneyland is a magical place for kids of all ages. Thanks again !!!
I am having such a crappy day, but this....this brought back so many happy memories and cheered me up. Thank you!!!
how can you argue with this innocent dazzling beauty? you can't argue with this.
I have just come back and cried when I saw this..brilliant stuff
Man, I just sat here with the giantest grin on my face. What an awesome journey back to my childhood. thanks for the post!
I am glad I got to see this before deciding to go to a Main Street show. Because if I had to listen tune for 25 min straight, I'd probably go nuts!
I really wish they would bring this back to disneyland. It's always been my favorite parade and I don't have the money to fly and stay in Florida.
It's an awesome parade, had the delightful joy to see it this past week your right it takes you back to your childhood
This hit me right in the nostalgia. I remember the snail making noises and everything. It legitimately made me tear up. I miss this!
Always the best time to hit your favorite rides. Whenever Disney puts on a parade, the long lines for rides are reduced.
This is great, and brings back old memories. What anyone watching this who did not go at the time wont really get is how fab it all looked in real life. In those days, there were no LEDS, these were all little bulbs, and it looked spectacular, well beyond anything you would have seen at the time. It was a great way to end a day at Disney World. Much more innocent times, and much more innocent pleasures. Thanks to the poster. I wish I was as well preserved as your footage!
This is one of those things that you never forget if you've seen it as a child.
Put a big o smile on my face. I was I think 12 years ok when I was there watching this parade. Now I'm 25 ad how I wish I could go back.
This is almost exactly the same as the Disney World version I saw last week. I was excited. I don't remember seeing this parade when I last was at disney in '92
Stephanie B that's because their original version was moved to Disneyland Paris. 9the vesion in this video is California's version.it;s on it's second tour of duty in Florida having previously ran there from may 28 1999-april 1st 2001 (three floats from this video- the 2 Pinnochio floats and the Dwarf Mine were utilized in the Paris version and then brought back to California when the Paris version closed in March 2003)
After all these years, this is still MAGICAL.
This reminds me so much of my childhood!
The music was redone for the 2009 refurbishment. Baroque Hoedown, Alice, Peter Pan, Snow White, and Pete's Dragon came from Tokyo Disneyland Electrical Parade~Dreamlights. That one is more orchestra, less synth, so they removed some orchestration and added more synth. Pinnochio, Cinderella (Dreamlights version has vocals), and Honor America were done in the style of the other units. The music sounds better in person.
I love the small ensemble of vendors at the beginning. I'd have so much fun if i was one of those.
I totally miss this parade and was sad to hear that Disneyland shipped it out to Disney World!!! Bring it back!!!! I remember when I saw it for the first time with my parents!!! I was totally in awe of the the whole thing!! Disneyland bring the Electrical Parade back to Disneyland!!
I love when the robot announcer thing actually says "The Main Street Electrical Parade" There is simply no better memory of Disneyland than this.
the winders of a vocoder. haha wish i had one!
i have too say i miss it so much and you did a great job i now live in Indiana and i use too live in LA and work at Disneyland when i was 18 i am now 37 and it never leaves me this part of working there i would always wait around for the light parade it was so great thank you for posting this it relly brings back memories
Never lose the love for this fantastic spectacle!! Hopefully it will be back in some form soon!
i arrive dec 1st of last year I webn dec 2 to magic kingdom and on dec 7th I went again to magic kingdom amd that day I stayed untul night and was nice but since the first day i was like ok this is kids and baby stuff just simulate and well no way I couldnt resist to return to be kid again!! god bless the disney company and all the people tjat work everyday to give is that magic!
Bawling my eyes out at 13:00. Just amazing memories. Favorite part of the whole parade.
I had a really sad day to day but now after watching this it made me smile! Thanks for posting this! :) I wish they would bring it back to Disneyland for there 60th birthday celebration next year!!!
Disneyland WILL be getting a night parade for the 60th, but it WON'T be oyur beloved classic but rather a our own version of the "Paint The Night" parade opening in Hong Kong this October. rest assured Baroque Hioedown WILL still have a home in the soundtrack
OMG!!! It just opened there is a video for it on Inside the magic!! I just watched it today its amazing!!!! I have never seen anything like it in my life i hope your right! I CANT WAIT NOW!!!
LOVE this parade! Too bad it's not the ORIGINAL music from back in the 70s/80s/90s. My sister and I have this down pat ... tune, music, etc. Still, at 46, I still love it!
This is excellent I can post on each and every attraction. Disney did a fantastic job
We just got home from watching the new Paint the Night parade (which was AMAZING) and yeah, a whole lot of it was inspired from this. My mom kept telling me about this parade and how she loved it when she was a kid, but it's /very/ dated now.
I'm glad they made the new parade with LEDs, I'm sweating just from watching this :p
LED lights are ugly. Especially the white color.
love2sing20101 Really? I love them. They're so much brighter and they can use so many. I loved the super tiny ones on some of the costumes that could make the very ends of cloth and tinker belle's shoes and wings glitter, while still keeping them light and airy.
Francis Bonnefoy 24601 I love the new Paint The Night Electrical Parade and it was awesome but Main Street Electrical Parade is a classic but remember the Paint the Night is for this kids generation that's their MSEP version.
I know this is random but I LOVE your username.
This song will forever be in my head. THANK YOU
Paint the night really brought this concept into 2015 I remember this parade when I was 5 but you can see the age here
I so miss this from DL! It was such a big part of my childhood!
yes there was. it was retired in early 2009 prior to the makeover as was the Circus units. (i have A HUNCH the latter was a last minute idea because when they were recording music for the sections that only existed in our version, they made 2 music loops for the Circus as well.
OMG such nostalgia! I remember seeing this as a kid, and going there the last time they showed it in Main Street, at least at the time when Disneyland was just one park.
God bless you, mikeyusf, for filming this wonderful event and sharing it on UA-cam!! I have visited Disneyland many times in the past but seldom waited for the parade (too tired and too crowded). Once we stayed but only saw it from a distance. Thanks to your video, I'm a child again!! Walt would be proud of your efforts!
@Littlescienceguy
Actually one the first day I turned the camera off and didn't realize that there was an ending announcement. So on the second day, I started recording with about 5 minutes left in the parade, and merged the two clips together. You've got the parade from day 1, ending from day 2. I'm glad you enjoyed it! This was a 3GB file when I uploaded it!
12:05. Fairy godmother was ON POINT. Live mama.
How did they manage to make even the “the lights will be turned off during the parade” announcement sound hype af? lol
I used to see the Main Street Electrical Parade 20 years ago with my mom at least once a year. Thanks so much for posting this. Brought a tear to my eye. I loved watching it. :)
I wish they would bring it back to Disneyland. Thanks for uploading this!!
This melody haunts the dreams of every Disney park employee.
no it doesn't..when I worked there, I used to watch it...happily...I loved that silly tune.
It's the catchy song that makes this parade a classic...
I only got to see this once when I was little but I really miss it.... this video is the next best thing thank you so much for posting this video here on UA-cam! 😁
I watched the parade exactly at this place in Liberty Square !! One month ago... I miss it :(
This will always be the best parade that Disney has ever created! Plus i love the song so much. They need this parade back in California Adventure :(
DUDE... I SHED A TEAR CUZ OF THE NOSTALGIA!!!! :') THANK YOU SOOO MUCH
I love this Parade! The music gets me excited! I watched this twice just a month ago at Disney World :)
Lucky you, sitting in the front row! Love this parade, especially Pete and Elliot. I got a little teary!
wouldn't make me go mad I could listen to this for hours
Im glad my kids got to see this b4 stupid Disney decided to take it away. I loved this parade. They really need to bring it back at least every summer May-September. In winter they can put Fantasmic November-April.
I loved this parade as a kid!!! Good times!
a LEGENDARY parade tat will never leave my heart =3
Baroque Hoedown is one of my absolute favorite childhood Disneyland songs :D
So many good memories
Yes, the Magic Kingdom still does fireworks, but only on certain nights. Their current fireworks show is "Wishes Nighttime Spectacular". (It is WONDERFUL, and Tinker Bell still flies just like in "Fantasy in the Sky"). Also, the floats you are thinking of are the last few floats from the SpectroMagic Parade, not the Main Street Electrical. There are rumors that SpectroMagic will be back later this year!
Thanks for the upload. I saw the paint the night on the 60th, it was ok, but not the same. Can't hate on Disney, have to change things up. But seeing this video, for sure got a little nostalgic, i remember seeing it every summer when i was a kid with my family, I'm not that old, in my 30s. I was definitely upset when they took it away. But regardless, I'll be Disney till the end.
reenber when i was 10 years old ;) i see it with my parents ;) now i see the disney parade with my kids :) thancks
Nonononononononononono! This parade BELONGS in Disneyland! Bring it back!
They did bring it back! It's a tad different from the old one but at least it's back!
Replace anything on Disney property, except this.
unfortunately I think they are replacing it
Majin Nihlathak no it's coming back
Allison S actually it's coming to Disneyland and then they are ending the parade fully
Hey, be easy on us, we've lost our Tower
and now Magic Kingdom has no nighttime parade
Hey , the music is the intro of "El Chapulin Colorado" .
Love it when I was little and nice graphics
OMG I almost cried gave me the chills I miss this....!!
