10 Most WASTED CHARACTERS In Naruto

- Hey everybody, In today's video I'll be going over my picks for the most wasted characters in Naruto. I did my best to include the most under-utilized characters, but if you think I missed anyone, be sure to lemme know in the comments.

Kakashi vs the edo white fang would go so hard for so many reasons

Anko is the most wasted in the show , great design, mystery and personality, good backstory and tied to the main antagonist orochimaru, related to sasukes situation, even made comments on sasuke surviving the curse mark and dangers, yet after the preliminary rounds she disappears form the plot and story entirely?? When she woulda been pivotal for sasukes moral support in his crisis for the retrieval arc, kishimoto still could have pulled off a sasuke leaving without erasing anko, she also didn't appear for sasukes rescue in early shippuden, her usage in war arc was disgraceful
Ironically I think sasuke , first hear me out, for as much screen time as he had, alot of it felt dragged out, a whole hatred arc after completing his revenge arc just felt like a cycle, which one can say it's cool but after danzo he still doesn't have closure, in the end he was a great character but I just didn't like how his character revolved around itachi after his death they coulda expanded more on other aspects of sasuke, this is like Jason todd syndrome this also took out development for other characters screentime (not sasukes fault)
I agree that sakura on the list, wasted any screentime she had , early shippuden sakura is overated , after the timeskip she still doesn't have any genjutsu skills or ninjutsu , just Chakra control and healing?? Naruto and sasuke expanded off their own uniqueness but sakura doesn't? and then her only main fight is being controlled for half of it, her immature interactions with naruto are still in play and she doesn't get over sasuke, waste of space character
Orochimaru was extremely wasted oml, and this is something luckily alot of people agree on, part 1 did orochimaru perfectly and part 2 shafted him for no good reason, this dude has sasuke for 3 years without a real contengency plan, this same character who's implied or stated as a genuis, this part doesn't make any sense at all, regardless when he appears in the itachi fight , instead of absorbing sasuke and escapin, he stupidly lectures itachi and gets sealed, then a little snake escapes and dies anyway?? and in the war arc his trash student is the villian and not even himself..He's now a mom on boruto they ruined his character extremely, and not to mention made to look a fool for pain itachi flashbacks multiple times..
When it comes to characters like lee or neji kiba etc...by technicalities extremely wasted BUT they were supposed to die in the retrieval arc back in part 1 but editors intervened, still don't understand why kishimoto didn't keep lee crippled, neji same and kiba literally no reason to keep them fully healthy then just backseat
Then you got characterd like Hinata ino and these other side characters also completely wasted , Hinatas whole slave and clan history is ignored, inos only development is dad dying and realizing sasuke is evil, choji has a couple good scenes I guess
Also Suigetsu and all of sasukes teams were wasted characters, heck even back in part 1 all 5 SOUND 5 MEMBERS DIED? very anti climactic, everyone surrounding orochimaru was wasted in some way, and a couple akatski members too..
I would have said anko. She was a student of orochimaru and in the classic series she was getting alot of build up and she was more than determined to stop orochimaru even if she killed herself in the process and she contributes nothing afterwards only being used as a mean to revive orochimaru and don't let me start with her incarnation in boruto...
Honestly I cant believe I forgot Anko, you're 100% correct she sooo wasted!
It's like ..they didn't utilize the fact that she used to be Orochimaru's student (except in filler iirc). Also offscreen for the entire war just like Yamato. Also what they did to her in Boruto is a crime

I just want a fan animation series of Naruto where they focus a lot on wasted characters along exploring more of their abilities and explore on the tenseigan of byakugan evolution.
Best waifu Ino needed more screentime. Other than that I agree

more screen time doesnt mean good development because kishimoto would somehow just make her more useless
Really think a team up of Guy and Lee Vs. Kisame or madara would have been awesome. I also agree with the Fugaku reanimation take
Naruto could’ve really been a complete, dense, wonderful world building story it didn’t feel rushed, took its time flushing out concepts and stories. It could’ve literally air for an additional 7 years.
100% agree with everything you said. If the damn studio didn't rush my mans & even allowed for Naruto to go on hiatus, Kishimoto could've given us a War Arc that isn't full of asspulls & isn't hated by half of the fanbase
Danzo was a missed opportunity the SPYMASTER of Konoha tell me that idea itself doesn't have the potential if he was written as a likable morally grey character (which I think Kishimoto may have intended but dropped the ball greatest supporting piece is his flash back where he gets passed over for Hokage we are supposed to sympathize with him)
Honesty with the way teak yamato arrived to assist team 10 against kakuzu, made it look like the entire team was going to go up against kakuzu. Feels like thats what should of happened because it would of meant, sakura, sai and yamato would of gotten another fight while also shown that the team has improved since tensions from the last arc. Also would of shown how strong kakuzu is by having multiple characters needed to take him down, including a wood user since he did first hashirama but makes not comment on yamato having woodstyle.
Yeah I agree with you, it would’ve given them a bigger role while not wasting Kakuzu. I think Naruto should’ve still finished him with the rasenshuriken, but it shouldve been the others that kept him occupied and that would be how naruto gets the drop on him.
Let’s go Kakashi & Gaara come to mind when I think about this

Because a few reasons
1 in kazekage rescue are I would have loved to see him in the battle with Sasori vs chiyo and Sakura
Because Sasori & Chiyo have a connection with the white fang
2 it was a waste not having him in the tenchi bridge arc because
Kakashi never really interacted with Sasuke & orochimaru in the time skip
3 I think he deserved a bigger role in the 5 Kage summit

Naruto fans are so weird lol. They throw around this term way too much lmao it holds no value now. Some characters are just side characters they are there to fill and to make the world alive. The way naruto fans talk youll think that every character need a fucking arc focused on them to not feel "wasted" or some bullshit like that. The only legitimate people on this list are the jinchurikis because of how important they are to the plot and maybe rock lee but his arc was completed early on so i dont even care. The rest is just nickpicking
what about the White Fang?
he did rank no 7, so he's obviously very popular with the fans & that they'd wanna see more of him,
him barely having any presence when so many people would like to see him sounds wasted to me
Yh agreed there’s some here I agree with but hidan kakuzu team taka konan is a bit too far but I agree kakuzu death was treated as a joke
I think the only ones that might be nickpicking are taka & Hidan/Kakuzu.
- Sakura is wasted as a main character
- The White Fang & Fugaku are background characters almost, but considering their relationship to the MCs & how they're both such popular characters I think its a waste that they were never expanded on
- Shino was dropped right after the chunin exams so Idk u tell me
- Konan just had such little screen time that's why I ranked her here, but I do think she's just a side character. But I still think she's the most wasted "Akatsuki" member
- Yamato was just like Anko, done dirty in the war

I’m probably the only one who cares about this character but I hate what they did to Kiba. I feel like they could have made him not a joke and maybe Naruto’s like in Konoha rival or smth

@@JuubiTazby the way the reason why Shino didn’t go on the sasuke retrieval arc was because he went on a mission with his dad but he was wasted I agree but how do you he would do against the sound 4?
Danzo was wasted potential the SPYMASTER of Konoha think about that as a concept (like Littlefinger or Varys from game of thrones but in Naruto) having him have been a morally grey character (like have his motivations be reasonable show his extreme methods actually are for the greater good of Konoha maybe have some Uchiha become mercenaries that go rogue and show him being a loving husband and father and LOSE his wife and child to a rogue Uchiha that would make his motives feel more understandable) make him more than the fall guy we blame the massacre on. Nagato basically accomplishes what I feel Danzo failed (I personally think Kishimoto WANTED us to feel bad for him his flash back getting passed over is my greatest evidence for this)
I think whatever little respect we had for Danzo (that all the shit he did was actually for the good of the village), was tossed out the window when he decided to hide underground while the leaf was getting demolished by Pain

Chakra itself is Spirit energy and if low level tatsuki can see a full on Aizen then yes naruto characters can see bleach characters unless you're saying Tatsuki solos the entire naruto verse lol

Sakura isn't a main character. She is a supporting character that gets screen time because of her team. As for not doing much, you're being disingenuous. It's stated and shown multiple times in her off time between missions that she's ALSO taking shifts at the hospital. This is literally the best utilization of a SUPPORT character there is in Naruto. You see her have a couple moments of being a battle medic which is cool, but you have to understand her job is to heal if needed. It'd be extremely poor writing to have your medic on the front line all the time.
