This is my favorite movie, I wish it was more known honestly so I could talk about it more. My mouse just died today and my friends knowing its my favorite set it up so that we could watch it together online. I had never seen it in french but this movie is so ingrained in my brain that I could almost recite it. We couldn't get the english subtitles to work and none of us know french, but we watched anyways. I am very lucky to have such good friends to support me through this loss. Hope anyone who stumbles across this film appreciates it as nuch as I do. Stay safe

I will tell you, this is quickly becoming my favourite French language movie, not to mention the favourite French language movie of my little sisters and my nieces. I find it to be such an awesome movie, with great music, Beautiful artwork, and a wonderful message. I'm glad, I've gotten to the point where I can watch it without subtitles. I heard about a second of it in English, and I was disgusted not because there's anything wrong with the English voice acting, but I saw the film in French first, that's how I want to know it that's how I want to remember it.

The sentence "Qui aurait parié un bouton dessus?" implies the something that "dessus" (which means "on")...is on. So I had to take a general guess and say that what they are betting on is that a Mouse and a Bear could be friends. Which is why I chose "that" instead of "this". Kudos to you if you read this far! I've been studying French since kindergarten,but I was never as passionate about it as I was about English. I continued studying it alongside English.For high school,my mom decided,since I wanna be an animator,my best bet is France and I should go to a high school with French as its main focus.I didn't know what to think but I went with it. The new teacher is strict and intimidating,which doesn't work for me AT ALL.She still was better than the others,so I stayed. In the first year,I slowly started disliking it.Not just her,but French in general.She was demanding my respect and when I made a mistake,she thought it was out of malice because I was also trying to lie about it.I was only lying bc I was scared but it wasn't out of malice.In the second year,we had to make some projects entirely in French.I was gonna get to a point where I'd absolutely hate it,but after watching this film (even tho I watched it in English bc I couldn't find the og version) I calmed down.Everytime I played this song,all my bad thoughts,even the ones regarding French,would disappear like magic. I love this song so much! I found a teacher with whom I do private courses and she's so nice that I started liking it again.Today I found right next to me a "Ernest et Celestine" book and as she was searching for her glasses,I read it and this song started playing in my mind and I had it stuck in my head the whole time.At the end I told her about the movie and she was surprised :) She didn't know there was a movie and when I got home I sent her a link to the trailer in French and this song and she thanked me.
