Going to miss the Trop! Was one of my favorite Casinos. Old school! Going to miss the Mirage too, I was there when she opened.
That used to be my parking spot when I would go for walks on the strip. Vegas Ready, where should I park now as a local for a few hours?
I think they should have kept the hotel and build a stadium around it but make it cool. That would be nice

Wow. It looks like the place has been abandoned for years and it's been closed less than a month. I know for quite a while before closing the bungalow units were closed but I just can't get over how quickly the place looked deserted
I think they should changr their name to the Jackpots, which is what I would have liked to have seen the Raiders change *THEIR* name to.
I parked at the FREE Tropicana parking garage many hundreds of times over the years. Will miss that so much .................33 like ...........

I've figured the multi level parking lot would be the first thing to go as it's the easiest structure to demolish. Plus remediation aren't needed.
Man I was in Vegas in early April and when I was walking by the strip and saw the Tropicana with MJ live I thought it was still open and the Michael Jackson Live was going on and when I passed by and saw the Tropicana I said those are the most beautiful white buildings I have ever saw not knowing that it was abandoned and about to be demolished man I was fooled thinking the building was still running because of the way it looked. I was shocked it was closed down when I came across this video, thank you Vegas Ready.

This is what Vegas is all about moving the old out and new in. Baseball on the strip is such a great idea and building a new Trop next door will be awesome. Circus Circus should have been torn down years ago!
they’re not building a new trop unfortunately. if they were, i would be less upset. sad to lose the og building, but creating a new one bearing the trop name and branding would still be cool. but i think it’s just going to be a bally’s

The much safer bet is it remains a fenced-off vacant lot for the better part of a decade.

Yeah I truly think, that’s just wishful thinking on that girl’s part.
I have very strong knowledge that a ballpark will be built there.
I know for an absolute fact that John Fisher absolutely wants this.
I put it at a 99% chance of happening, I’ve been saying that for months.
Keep in mind, it’s not only John Fisher, that wants this ballpark there, it’s the casinos, MLB, Nevada Governor, two Nevada Union Locals, that want it, put all that together, it’s absurd that girl doesn’t think it ain’t happening.
A lot of locals used their free parking to spend money at the Trop and walk on down the strip and spent money in those casinos. Guess with the overpriced parking at the other casinos locals will spend less time and money on the strip.
