Mega mega stuff!!! If there ever was a angler ready for stand up (not mugging) this is the man. Please keep this content coming, winter stuff is more valuable than you realise. Thank you
what i liked about this video is you made sense of what you were doing keeping it simple not having 10 top sections lined up to confuse even stephen hawkins ,,,,,,the reason why you baited the areas the way you did,a lot of common sense but as we know common sense is not common ,you did a great job at putting over what you were doing well done ,cheers matt and full nets,,
Well done at Messingham Sands Matt on the silverfish knock up. For a venue you don't fish regularly that was in a funny mood your catches over the 2 days were exceptional and showed a different level .All with humility and respect for those you beat ,a class act for sure.
Quality video again mate, some proper tactics in there!👌🏻 My favourite venue for silvers in the winter is Mbk leisure at st Patrick’s lane ponds. Fished a match the well over 15 years ago now, it was frozen solid when we got there! After breaking the ice and fishing short with groundbait and casters I came 3rd with 17lb of all roach apart from 1 tench about 3lb. An absolute amazing venue in the winter
What an awesome video & angler. You are one amazing angler Matt. You will be World Champion. Thank you for sharing your tips. Thanks Matt & Match Fishing Magazine for bring us this video. Slide On
Have gone away from silvers nowadays but always loved my local Stanground backwater for winter silvers. Was always mega when the nene was in flood in the winter months.
Nicely put together gang, more bloodworm venues would keep, lots more summer anglers out fishing. I would use rigs on local canal, sure they would work a treat 👍👏👏
Lovely informative video Matt, kirton Hall lake in Suffolk, just outside of felixstowe has great winter skimmer fishing, love the winter league there .
Great tutorial as always Matt 👌 Your the man when it comes to this style of fishing 👍💪 My favourite venue for winter silvers is the K & A Canal, loads of big skimmers and hybrids to catch👍
Great content as always I love to fish for silvers on the great Ouse near Bedfordshire and the brooks that join it. Happy new year to you all and tight lines 👍🏻🎣
Cheers Matt, it’s done years since I use bloodworm and joker on winter league matches. I need to hunt some out and pop down Arrow Valley lake and see if the bream are up for it.
favourite is taswood fisheries in Norfolk but get em going and the roach can show 1lb plus, perch same and skimmers go 8oz plus, but if you get onto the bigger bronzes you can be looking 2-4lb fish regular - is good to see you use the universal technique for telling ducks to buzz off the noise with flailing landing net haha
Matt genuinely a cracking video really enjoyed watching that thank you. Quality fishing and so much good advice. I'd love those floats please I'd use them at a local natural venue called slade reservoir. A very natural water not in the slightest but commercial perfect cheers Jon
Brilliant video as always matt. My venue is seeswood pool extremely good silver fish fishing. Had a cheeky session on Christmas eve on the feeder and bagged myself 30lb of skimmers.
Best silver fish venue has to be Thorne canal, like you demonstrated with your video with Frankie, loads of fish including great big, bream, roach and tench 🎣
Great content chaps; really interesting to see how bloodworm and joker are used as it’s something a club angler like myself doesn’t get to see. My favourite silver fish venue during the winter has to be Aston Park fishery, Ide o’clock!
Excellent video Matt. Some good fish caught on the session. One question for you. Do you always use the bar at the front of your platform? Best wishes. Steve
Excellent content . Just wish these videos could be filmed, edited and published within a week. As in this one ( see leaves on trees/bushes) and many others they are filmed way ahead of current seasonal temperatures so we get a false impression of fish behaviour to methods.
What a genuinely brilliant angler. Not just catching, but breaking it down for us and giving up hard earned secrets! A genuine credit to the sport
This guy is a natural when explaining his approach, he is in a class of his own. It is not if he will be a World Champion more of when!

Great video guys from a class act. Fish the winter league at The Oaks Sessay.
I'd use the rigs at the Horns Dam near Preston. I'm not sure the groundbait approach would work but it would be worth a try.

Gold Valley....the silvers sport can be exceptional using very similar tactics.
Viaduct, especially on Cary lake for a bit of silvers pleasure fishing.

Blimey guys. Great video but how many adverts do you expect us to watch! Talk about coin it in! 😂
Excellent content . Just wish these videos could be filmed, edited and published within a week. As in this one ( see leaves on trees/bushes) and many others they are filmed way ahead of current seasonal temperatures so we get a false impression of fish behaviour to methods.

Fleets Dam or Sally Walches both BDAA waters
My silver fish venue as I’m from down south would be Southend farm full decent skimmers 1:06:39
