- Photography in a VOLCANIC landscape | FUJIFILM X-PRO2
My first road trip to this West side of the Central Plateau volcanic Mountains in New Zealand, it will not be my last. Out came the Fujifilm X-Pro2 with it's 850nm modified black and white sensor with an aim to shoot some cracking infrared images over Mt Ruapehu an active volcano. Fingers crossed it worked a treat imho.
Hope you enjoy.

Cheers mate I wasn’t sure how the IR would work in that cloud cover but really pleased with the results thanks for taking a look mate appreciate it
Stunning! I would be like a kid in a candy store shooting that! I need to get up there this winter!
Definitely a winter trip mate better get some tyre chains tho haha
Beautiful scenery in New Zealand! I like the picture with rock in the foreground, it's also a brilliant portrait of yourself taking that picture 👍. New Zealand looks like Scotland in the mountains except we've nothing at that kind of elevation.
Cheers mate yeah it’s pretty stunning down here I once climbed Ben Nevis in august with an ex it was a hot day well hot by Scotland standards and as we got halfway up it turned to snow the ex was not a happy camper started chucking lumps of granite at me so I did the honourable thing left her there while I pushed for the summit couldn’t see hand in front of my face at the top all clogged in happy days
Paul your accent is fantastic! But driving on the left side of the road felt so weird 😅 I’m in southern Alberta so we don’t have as many trees in the way of our mountains 😂 but I’m jealous of them!
Haha yeah the driving must have been strange never thought of that, thanks for taking the taking a look mate appreciate it
Hey mate your accent isn’t that bad! Why do you want an American accent in the first place? Your accent is unique and doesn’t get hidden behind all other American UA-camrs. I had (and prolly still do) an American accent and now I’m trying to learn Australian and Russian cuz they’re just cool. Embrace your accent!
Haha cheers mate I guess I listen to so many silky smooth accents then here my SEL and it’s a tad rough 🤣
