4:18 Fun fact, Google physically removed the digital video out of ALL the Pixels. I'm guessing so they can sell more Chromecast devices? It doesn't work even with the latest Pixels either. The keyword here is displayport alt mode that lets most devices do it easily out of the box.
As a Pixel owner since the 2, the no video out is my number 1 complaint with the Pixel....Google just wants to hinder their devices in favor of using Chromecast (which is not convenient at all when traveling)
Thanks for the shoutout for the store! Glad you guys enjoyed the gifts! Always enjoy your videos and glad to send these little gifts every once in a while. We always got new Pokémon cards at the store if you ever want them on release.
It's just free ads for Linus at this point, regardless, of the reviews. I wouldn't pay that much for an screw driver anyway. Unless, it's made out of golds and diamonds. But, I know others would, though. Lol.
Austin! I own the NREAL, you didn't give it enough time. I just spent $132.00 on getting my prescription put on the insert. After I sold my Quest 2. This is so much better!!!
Watching this on my killswitch-protected Steam Deck whilst waiting to board a plane. Can confirm, the case is really nifty for traveling. Being able to charge the deck while stored, having a sturdy kickstand, and taking seconds to pack/unpack, all whilst taking significantly less space than the original case.
what's crazy to me is that I was part of a class trip back in 2012 to see one of the first AR glasses being developed with hand motion tracking. Its amazing having to see it officially being massly produced, but definitely not comparable to what I experienced back then.
PLUG THE NREAL INTO YOUR STEAM DECK! THAT AT LEAST WORKS! Early adopt of the Air glasses, yeah, dex can get in the way of the setup, but spend a little time and it's workable. I say this since you are like the only reviewer that didn't at least like them, they are more a separate video kind of thing, like the Steam Deck. BUT PLUG THEM IN YOUR STEAM DECK!
For such an expensive screwdriver (lemme preface, by saying I don't hate it, and would still love to own one), it better come with a lifetime no questions asked warranty on par with Harbor Freight tools. Tool breaks? No receipt? Just walk in the store show them the broken item, and you walk away with a brand new one no questions asked.... Really nice to have when you deal with $30-$50 lug-nut sockets that you know you are going to misuse and break by trying to take some rusty nuts off 70 years later.
To clarify, their warranty states this: "Harbor Freight Tools will replace any hand tool that fails to properly work during the lifetime of the original purchaser." and "If your item is covered under Harbor Freight's lifetime warranty, you can request an exchange for a replacement tool at any time with or without a receipt."
ok but the steamdeck dbrand killswitch using the orange and blue for the thumbsticks was probably THE BEST THING THEY COULD DO, its such a cute portal reference
this show reminds me of the early tech days of the internet back when p2p apps started doing chats like Ares Galaxy, WinMx and Warez. Just loads of information and a lot of fun to watch.
"So you were stupid enough to do it for free?" lol Nice nice. That's a nice screwdriver though...and of course he sniffed it (I have been debating whether or not to get it). Everyone gathered around pokemon cards and snacking was a site to see.
the charachoder keyboard is an old tech used by those ppl who write in courts, i wish i can try it but i don't have the time to learn it but i have heard of some ppl being able to type 300 wpm on it, if you write a lot that is 100% worth it
I've switched keyboard layouts before (from QWERTY to colemak-dhm) and monkeytype tells me it's only taken around a month to get back up to 60WPM (my former average on QWERTY) and now, with about a year's worth of using it but not really learning it (in the "training to get quicker" sense) I'm pretty comfortable around 90WPM (and sadly plateauing there for a while now). So if anybody's interested in giving "weird" keyboards a go, it's not the years-long setback that I, for instance, was afraid of. I'd probably still not recommend jumping in with a $300 keyboard just to try it out xD
Actually... for the nreal glasses if they ever add in movement tracking and make them actually AR then it might be worth it. As is... I mean, come on - its just simulating a large monitor. Not worth it.
He did the nreal dirty they have head tracking and the ar is through the nreal app and that nose piece is actually for prescription lenses.....he really made them seem worse then they are
If the NReal AR glasses can mirror your device and has good refresh rate imagine not having to bend your neck down to look at a Steam Deck. You could be on a recliner and your head doesn't need to be level, just lean back and play, especially if it's a less frantic kind off gameplay (think Final Fantasy Tactics etc).
@@post-leftluddite Yea i understand that. Its get boring after time. But i like this, bec there is allways somthing diffrent in those vids thats what i like. I dont like basic Tech reviews or some stuff that i already know. If that make sense lmao.
i mean, if you don't really like the steam deck i will gladly take it off your hands, and give it a loving home :) trying to get my hands on one with my budget is REALLY hard...
While I enjoy mystery tech, it would be nice if they mentioned potential accessibility uses for some products that seem weird like the Keyboard. As someone who uses different accessibility tech, a lot of products that people laugh at have can be a potential solution for many people.
Can I circle back to the LTT screwdriver segment? You said yourself, you build a lot of PC's... and you don't care about your tools? To me, it's analogous to using a nice keyboard, or mouse - it's your interface to your livelihood and entertainment. For a screwdriver in the hand of a builder, I'd think you'd feel the same way. Treat yourself to a nice set of drivers, in a small desktop stand - the kind for RC enthusiasts. For less than a C-Bill you'll have upped the quality of your build, and the experience will be like using red key switches the first time in a game.
“And guess who’s the boss” was prob the coldest thing Austin has ever said

Brooooo yessssss I loved that! I had to see if someone else felt the same as soon as I heard it 😂
Yeah and how the music gets paused and he just confidentiality stares at the camera, it shows us as the viewer who is always in charge.

The LTT screwdriver being reviewed in the same video as something from dbrand just seems so fitting.
lol don’t expose austin
probably a stupid question but can u explain why
