0 they have already committed too many crimes to count. I think they started when Trump Junior was only 10 or 15 years old. They should be and would be in prison now but Trump got lucky and won the presidency with Russians help.
Clearly spoken man (no slurring words to look 'cool'), respectful to those around him, grateful & humble personality is addictive. I'd give him the keys to my shop, for sure!
I may not understand fashion as an art, but I do understand art; having PL explain it as "what he and his crew want to wear", feels like a few people adding to the overall community, like art. Well said.
What an utterly delightful interview/hang Phillip. You are wonderful. There is so much warmth and honesty ✨️ with you. Ronnie and you together are a natural. I felt so relaxed and just enjoying your company. The fashion portion was really great. I totally could see what you were pointing out. Wonderful. 🎉 Thanks
Trump Senior has 5 kids by 3 wives and is traveling south at 50 mph, and Trump Junior has 5 kids by one wife and is traveling west at 40 mph, how many criminal enterprises until the 2 men meet in prison?
Everyone knows Asians exist. It's insulting to Connie Chung and all those who came before to act like this is the first time anyone's seen an Asian host on TV.
I'm fashion & merchandising major, it's our kind of work. But I worked for mass retailers, I still got to check off my career goal, a business trip to Paris textile trade shows 😊 sometimes, smaller companies still have opportunities
I had no idea what Lim looked like. He looks so young. Love his charme and respectful manner, he is not like "I'm too cool for this world" despite his mega success ❤
Most likely not made in China.... But still in the lower price range compare to the other NYC designers. FYI, for the Paris Olympic, the gowns worn by Celine and the French opera singers were made by Dior and dancers were made by LV
A lack of integrity? He definitely seems to lack in integrity as a person, but when it comes to his suit, I hope you meant that there is a lack of DIGNITY? 😅😅😅 Anyhow, proud of you both, Phillip and Ronny! 😘😘😘
This would’ve been an amazing week to have had Connie Chung on as she’s plugging her memoir. Hated the unintellectual questions that were being asked on the various talk shows.
Now you guys have homework.... find clips of Trump talking about getting " The best " in regards to suits. Im not a chiropractor but I do know the look for and Trump looks like he needs adjustments one shoulder leans and it makes him hold his head and neck off to the side. See it all the time but this still shot reflects this perfectly.
amazing segment; two well achieved foreigners who know (by training) what it takes to make it in america. and by training am referring to their upbringing. moms so rock! ronney, you are adorable! mom and pop dim sum in (NY) chinatown with you, my treat! 😊😊😊 *and by the way, ronney, 411 is the equivalent to 311 which you should be familiar with by now. 411 kinda replaced the yellow pages books -- thick books your mom used to have you sit on to make you reach the right height when at a table. comprende? 😊😊😊
I've never loved America's embrace of internship - it's effectively a form of unpaid labour - no guarantees, no health cover, and no income - by definition. It's started being exported to countries like mine as some sort of insane option for people to waste their lives having to work two jobs - one that pays, one that doesn't so someone else can make money off my labour. Yes, you may get some experience, but supporting this system is disingenuous - pay minimum wage - oh wait - America, sorry I forgot.
In the competitive fashion world, the more prestige the brand, the more free interns wish to add the brand on their resume. I'm more practical, and I was lucky enough to get the JC Penney recruiter to recruit directly from my MSU campus. It was a 12 weeks paid internship, they paid for Round trip flight 12 weeks nice, shared apartment Company paid car rental per intern Summer pool parties at HR home At the end of my internship, I was offered a full time position as the assistant product development manager. They paid for the relocation etc, business trip to South Carolina, St Antonio. I was 1 of 2 design graduate who don't care for low paying fashion jobs in NYC. No regrets!
The sad part about internships that lead to a career is that only the rich and well to do can take those positions. So in a sense, it's a privilege road.
@@___beyondhorizon4664 I suspect there is a greater level of sophistication to the American model as your economy is far greater than ours here in NZ and so less limited in scope. It sounds as though yours was a valuable experience but I wonder if it is also the example that breaks the rule.
On the other point, it's impossible to retain actual talent without giving something equivalent in value to what that talent is worth. The unpaid way, the payment would be my presence and I'm gonna be upfront here, the other week I thought I locked myself out of my lab for a solid five min because I somehow forgot which way the door opened. This is why I insist of paying in salary, since even I can't stand myself sometimes. Payment establishes a repeated consistent standard.
Phillip Lim seems like a fun person but I can't respect him until he makes his brand a responsible one. It's about time to start paying fair wages and provide safe working conditions to the employees, as well as to use sustainable, cruelty-free materials. I will never pay almost a thousand dollars for an outfit when the people behind it have not been treated fairly.
A rich guy who couldn't afford a great tailor?😅 I think if im a guy, looking for a suit, i would reference macron suit, always well made by French artisans.
Fashion in NYC is part of the 1%, not a propriety for the other 99% with middle class jobs and families to feed and house. But hey, i miss the Victoria secret fashion walks on TV HAhaha
priority* Plenty of middle class folks are employed by fashion-related places: boutiques, department stores, magazines, manufacturing, etc . . . most get discounts & even merchandise. It's not the 1% shopping at premium fashion outlets, those people buy at the designer boutique & pay in cash or w/ their black card. 🙄
More like Ronnie invited his friend to be a guest on the night he's hosting. 🙄 It's not like Phillip Lim came in to promote something time sensitive (New York Fashion Week just happened), like a new book or movie.
@@Kitty8791 sure that’s possible, but is that also why he was the one to interview, joel kim booster and rosalind chao and jon m chu and daniel dae kim and awkafina, would you like me to keep going? once is a fluke, twice is a coincidence, three times is a pattern.

this should be a recurring segment where bro n ronny review politicians and famous ppls outfits, very very very fun watch
This is a great idea. I hope more people see it.
I was in the audience. It’s so much more fun live. Phillip was a cool guest.

Love Ronny and now love Phillip Lim! Love how he takes a fashion perspective and draws out some truth from that.

Amazing. Ronny, thank you for showing this legend.
What an awesome interview!! I love Ronny and thank you so much!! Keep up with the wonderful Asian representation in your interviews!! This is great!!
What an awesome interview! I'm so glad the Daily Show is still around, bringing us icons that no one else is.. love it!
Thanks for interviewing Asian guests, representation is important
Loved this interview, thank you! Love Phillip Lim. Not only is he a fashion icon, also a lovely human being.
What a great face and smile as well as a very pleasant voice Mr. Lim has. Emits very calm yet happy and grounded energy. 👍🧓
Can they do this for a few major politicians/celebrities? Love this
He is so right. Turning dreams into a reality is indeed the most marvelous thing to be able to do. he is an alchemist. All artists are alchemists.
Ronny Chieng is killing it!!! His performances have been screaming next lead Daily Show host.
Never forget the legendary Target x Phillip Lim drop!!!!
"the quality is lacking from the top", excellent 💯
Ronnie really loves those charlie chapin refernces when talking to someone older than him
1:35 Ronny’s genuine laugh brings so much joy to me!
Love Philip - and love Ronnie. ❤
I wasn't going to watch this clip because I don't care about fashion, but I'm glad I did..

There's a Lim sailor-collared blouse from several years ago that I still think about. Wish I could have afforded it.
Such a cool interview. Phillip Lim seems so humble and kind. I’ll have to check out his fashion now. 😊

I my was so fascinating watching his breakdown of how he would style Trump. I would love to see him take that fashion advice (and moral advice)

Ronnie and Phillip!
