@@harrievans927 Waitrose have a meal deal. There was a gas station that done one for 5 pound, I wasn’t sure if it was that expensive because it’s a gas station or they generally charge that much

Value for money should've been the deciding factor. M&S is more expensive so chances are it is gonna be better, but then if there's a cheap one that's pretty decent - that's more value for money. I'm also offended Morrisons wasn't included.

Boots used to always be the best deal. You could get the most expensive drinks and snacks with an expensive main for £3
Then all the others jumped on board and started to add more expensive drinks/snacks to the range.
For me boots was always the best deal. But I mostly get Tesco meal deals :)

Morrisons definitely have the best meal deal in my opinion, they have the widest variety (from what I have seen) and are a great price-£3. How on Earth were they excluded???
I watched a documentary that said a lot of supermarket sandwiches are made in the same factory so that might explain why they taste similar.

All the sandwiches are made by a company called GreenCore, I used to manage a one of the depots, each company tells us how much of what ingredient they want and the quality of the ingredient

m&s are great for sandwiches, cool is good for sandwiches and the snacks (e.g chicken satay), tesco’s subs are god tier and sainsbury’s meal deals in general are amazing!!

I remember when Boots first started them when I was a student. Tesco then followed, and had my favourite - tropical fruit to drink, banana or crisps, then a sandwich of roast red peppers and rocket in sunflower bread, all for £2. As someone that's allergic to many foods, it was brilliant!
Realistically though Tesco is the winner because they actually have choice. The M&S selection for their actual meal deal tends to be - plain ham sandwich and a bottle of water. The Co-op is probably bottom because it's usually bad, Sainsburys is ok but limited choice, Boots is quite good with a decent selection. Morissons is pretty decent too although I still can't forgive them from removing the katsu chicken wrap.
Tesco sandwiches are dry as feck though. There, I said it.

I’m sorry but price not being a factor is absolutely ridiculous.
I agree that M&S is the best quality but that’s because it’s around two, sometimes three times the price of a standard meal deal.
As an on the go student, price is detrimental and while M&S is good for quality across the range, I cannot justify the difference in price.

@@chesca7295 ha nope, sorry. Only I get to pick the best one. Don't want you taking that away from me 😜Besides, I work in a coop. Apparently, according to this they consist of soggy bread. I always go for the chicken and stuffing ones anyway, so have no problem there. Although, the new Christmas ones are kinda amazing, but the cranberry sauce does make it a bit on the soggy side 😂

That’s what I thought at first, but I think they probably did fruit because a lot of the places wouldn’t have own brand crisps in the meal deal, so it would be difficult to judge them separately

I mean there were some factors they could've done to make the decisions better like: seeing if the store ran out of the thing (or that specific store didn't sell that one thing), price is also another factor and i think they should've done each item /10 and show us a table to let each person know what is good for overall, taste or your money.

Waitrose and Morrisons: Ummmm why weren't we invited???
Ranking for me: 1. M&S, 2. Boots, 3. Tesco. Tesco sometimes edges into 2nd place on seasonal foods, but can really cock it up due to poor execution (cranberry sauce should not be spread like it’s jam!)
My ultimate meal deal combination which fills me up has to be from Morrissons for £3 I fill up my box to the brim from the salad bar and then for the snack I get chips or Potato Wedges as they are the most expensive snack and seem like a tactical choice mixing hot and cold foods in a meal deal and then for the drink I get a hot Cappuccino or tea or naked smoothie.
There’s only co-op where I live so I usually get most of my meal deals there

Interesting that you have Asda there. Although they have the individual items, they don't do a meal deal for them. So you're most likely going to be paying more for them. Tesco has an insane amount of options for their meal deals too. The variety and price is really good!

I’m sad Morrisons wasn’t included 😞😞 but I must say technically M&S don’t have lunchtime meal deals unless your in a station branch where they have a £5 lunch meal deal but their Sandwiches are delicious! M&S is really expensive but you get your money’s worth. I say I love Co-Op and Boots because of the variety but Co-Op especially
i like how the carrots have an expiry date of the 28th of October but the video was released on the 23rd of November.
Rate my meal deal:
Lipton peach iced tea
Chicken and bacon sandwich or duck hoisin wrap
Walkers Salt and vinegar crisps
Top are M&S, Sainsburys and Tescos..
Middle is boots,Morrisons and co op
Lower is asda
Marks and Spencer doesn’t even have a meal deal you have to pay for them separately 😭😭😭😭

Would have been good to see the cost of each meal deal. No surprise that M&S has the best-tasting meal deal but you're also paying more for the 'luxury'. A tesco meal deal is £3 however I'm not sure that M&S have a lunch time deal? The only deal they seem to do is the dine-in for £10.
I normally get tesco due to it being the most local but I would say sainsbury's does the md better because you can get stuff from the bakery but you do have to pay £3.50. Tesco is £3 cc price so I get them from tesco. I would try the boots one but my local boots doesn't sell mds and coops is way to expensive

I’m a price whore, I’m picking the most expensive sandwich, the smoothie (I’d *never* buy one otherwise) and the Pringles pot or McCoys because they’re both hella expensive by themselves.

Tesco's is the best-They offer Purdy's vitamin drink in their deal and the All Day Breakfast/Chicken and Stuffing/Tuna Sweetcorn is the bomb!, Then Sainsbury's!! M and S has more sandwich and salad choices, but costs more. Depends on how much you want to spend!
