It wasn’t until I started exploring this idea that things got FASCINATING

American by birth, Texan by the grace of God!
Amen!!
Amen! God Blessed Texas with his own hand! 😂
I’m proud to be born American. But I am “Thank God grateful” that I am a native Texan.
I wasn’t born here. But I claim to be a Texan by heritage. My grandpa was born here. Does that count? I lived my first 26 years in another state. But I’ve been in Texas for 47 years. I absolutely love Texas! When my husband was between jobs, he got a very good offer in another state. I begged him not to take it. I told him I would move anywhere, as long as it was in Texas. I was almost in a panic mode. I honestly couldn’t even comprehend living anywhere else! Thankfully he turned down the job. But he did find an excellent one right where we live. I think a person can be a true Texan without being a native one. But I do understand what you are saying about being a native. Wish I was one. But you can’t hold it against me for something that was out of my control. Right??? Have a great day! 🤠
@@TexasRose50 Ma'am, you might not be a native but you are definitely a Texan.🤠
@Nurp-lp4vm, oh THANK YOU!!!! I needed that confirmation! You’ve made my day! Have a good one, whatever that might be.
Amen and hallelujah.
(Yes, I am serious.)
AMEN!!!!!
When Bidden was threatening Texas I said,
THIS IS TEXAS!!!!
Not one person understood
Now you do.
Lol, I laughed...quite hysterically, when I heard that...and I'm a Texan living in Alaska..

As a Texican, i approve this message.
This!

TEXAS!
As a 58 year old Texan I appreciate this man's message. Texas is different from other states. We are not going sit by idly while criminals are harassing or committing crimes. We get involved. And I'm not trying to say we're the only state like that but we are definitely different than most, especially blue states. We not only believe in freedom but we honor, cherish and live freedom every day. God, freedom, guns and America. Not necessarily in that order!
We just sit idly by while children are being massacred. Remember Uvalde.
@ned6938 They sat idly by. Not all men are sheep dogs. Some are sheep and some are wolves. It's all about how you were raised and if you have that certain fire inside. Obviously they don't, but a lot of guys do.
@Nurp-lp4vm I would say that the 372 cops that were there are a pretty good representation of Texas cops. One of them is such a coward that he let his own wife bleed out and die. I agree that not all men are sheep but all of our Texas police are.
Texas is special...can't explain it, you have to get here and you will feel it. Transplant from Illinois.

Thank you for your astute observations. I am a 4th generation Texan who is raising our family's 5th and 6th generations. Having been in business over 40 years, I could have taken up shop anywhere in the nation, but I chose to remain in my beloved Texas homeland to raise my children and grandchildren. Given the chaos and decay that the rest of the country is experiencing, I am convinced that Texas has not only been a past republic, but will be one again in the future. May God continue to bless the great Republic of Texas.
Long live Texas!!! Born in Arizona but I'm a proud Texan now!!!
Welcome aboard!!!
I wasn’t born in Texas, but I got here as quick as I could, as the expression goes. I’ve been here since 2001, and I consider myself a Texan now. It’s a great place to be if you are conservative. If you aren’t, don’t move here, you won’t like it.
If you can't find work in Texas, you don't want a job

@@pamperez4638 💯
Vermont had a small run of being its own country but if i'm not mistaken it might have been before 1776 but I could be wrong.
@@DustinHeath-ki8lt That's more of a deep dive into Vermont and some of the fiddly bits than most people care about.
It was 1777, Vermont declared itself a free republic, which made it separate from New York and New Hampshire, both of which claimed it as part of their territory. It also caused some problems with the Revolutionary forces, since the Green Mountain Boys were pretty darn good and did a lot for the cause. (The GMB pretty much set up the situation that led to the rebels (Revolutionaries) winning.)
New York eventually (1790) dropped their claim over the territory. Vermont even talked about becomin a free republic as part of Canada. But they never went *that* far.
They stayed a Free Republic (not a country) for a total of 14 years before being able to join as their own state.
I was born and raised in San Antonio and this never dawned on me ! Sometimes fresh perspectives are awesome! You're definitely a Texan now Mr. Englishman!
As a 4th generation Texan and my wife is a 5th generation Texan we approve this video. We have many friends in the UK and globally and could live anywhere we want. However we’re Texans and always return to the state of our ancestors. The Spartan’s were defending their country, since Texas was a country before it was a state, your wife is 100% correct. Have a blessed day!
I’m a 6 gen native ❤
I'm a Floridian. I'll be honest, I never thought about Texas the way you just described. But, I'll be damned if you're not right. Texas IS the Sparta of the United States! In Florida, we also have a saying. It's, wait for it, "Hey y'all, hold my beer while I take care of this...". Not quite the "Come and take it...", but has the same meaning. Great video by the way.
So true. God Bless Texas!
Arizonan here. Spent 4 months in east Texas last year(May-August). When I was leaving some of the boys said, "You're a true Texan, just too bad you have to live in Az". Best compliment ever as far as I'm concerned. Only reason I ended up here was dad got out of the army in Texas and moved here. Almost was a true blooded Texan.
I’m from east Texas! Where did you spend your time while you were here?
I was an Air Force brat in 1978. My dad retired, and we moved back to Texas. I live there off & on my whole life. I was born in Colorado to a mother who was from Louisiana and a father who was raised in North Carolina. I live in Oklahoma now and half for the last 20 something years, but I consider myself a Texan my maternal family, is still down there
Being a true Texan is a matter of ✨❤️✨
Thank you for the video. Love my home state. Missed the school bus once as a kid many moons ago. Didn't think to much if it, just saddled up my Welch pony and off to town we went. Only in small town Texas would that be seen as normal and appropriate.
Glad you enjoyed it!

Lmao we do have our own vibe thats for sure. Well done.
Agreed when talking real Texans though I would like to add that just cuz someone moved from California to Texas 10 years ago doesn't make them a Texan
There is only Texas.
Every place else is. .just that. Some place else.
Small town Texas born and raised. I'm living in Arizona now, but my heart and spirit will forever remain Texan. Long live my Lone Star State.
I LOVE you! First you know your Texas history. Well done. Second, very good analogy. I’m a Texan. We aren’t like the other 49 states. Our flag is everywhere. We were a Republic before joining the United States. How I wish we had stayed our own Republic. We are proud, hardworking, and God fearing. Thank you for your insight.
Texan and proud of it, Long live Texas!!!
Betty here: God led me to move to Texas many years ago. The minute I crossed the state border I felt like I was home for the first time in my life. Someone who is very spiritually discerning said “Texas wears freedom.” I believe that. I believe the spirit of freedom has been God breathed into the very soil of this state and, in spite of how things look now, I believe God is very mightily (but very covertly) turning this great nation of ours around and it will one day be a great blessing to this whole earth and Texas will play an important part in that. Let freedom ring!
Did you know the red heifers needed for the traditional Jewish temple sacrifices were sent from TEXAS for the third temple to be reinstated? It’s true, they’ve been trying for years and years to get the perfect cows. Now they have them. It’s prophecy in action, today.

My folks neighbor in Kingsville is a Arab from Bahrain. He works on cars in a shop he built next to his house. He drilled his own well and asked the county to cut off his water. That was fun. Still smiling.
When I cross the Red River (from Oklahoma) or the Sabine (from Louisiana) and I reach Texas, I sing in my car the Texas state song, "Texas, Our Texas."

I'm not a Texan by birth but I am a Texas in my heart and in my soul. I ran away from home when I was 13 years old. I hitched a ride with an older couple who brought me to Odessa. I was found and taken back to the cesspool that is California. When I was 16 I ran away again and again ended up in Odessa. I came here in 92 with my husband and 3 children, he was born and raised in Texas. But he passed away less than a year later and 2 after that I was coerced into once again going back to California. 8 years ago, I packed a small bag of clothes, grabbed a blanket and pillow and hopped on a greyhound bus and came back to Texas and no one is ever making me leave here again. I thank God for Texas and the people of Texas for allowing me to live here in their great state. And Texans are definitely like the Spartans. ❤

I live in Alabama I'm still Texan at heart and i stand behind that great state as a monument to all that is good and virtuous about the country. The people of the Tennessee valley all the way down to the Mobile bay volunteered to fight at the Alamo. Everyone knew what it meant and few answered the call.

Very humorous and probably spot on. Texans are a breed apart and thank God they are. Best friends and worst enemies, they are part of what makes this nation great. Thank you 🙏. I believe that your theory about Texas and it’s people is correct. As a Native born and reared in Texas, as I was listening to what you were saying, I recalled many occasions while I was growing up that when we had a serious dispute with someone , we would always say something “ cute” to the other one in the argument like “ Oh yeah; Well if you think you’re feeling lucky , Punk , try and “ Come and take it “ from me.We might also exclaim “Remember the Alamo!!!” . If it’s with an outsider, we might also add “ Don’t mess with Texas!!!”
I have not lived in Texas for several years so it is subdued but still in me and when I feel confronted by someone in some way that side of me is revealed even in a subtle way, yet is still strong. Now when someone asks me where I am from, I can say that I am a Spartan from Texas.

He needs to look into the Indian raids. Mexico invited us in to be a buffer ( fodder) between the apache and Comanche Indians and the Mexican settlements because they were slaughtering entire towns, men women and children. Victoria was nearly wiped off the map by a raid ( and some girls taken as slaves), another town was completely destroyed and never came back. "Spartans", a pretty good analogy to these early heroes. Thank God for Texas!!
Texas has the 8th largest economy in the world and has been the #1 exporting state in the nation for 21 years in a row. The Port of Houston is the nation’s largest port in total foreign and domestic waterborne tonnage. We already have our own Constitution. Texas has trade agreements with other major countries like India and the UK. It also has it's own military (not just national guard), it's own bullion depository (the only state-administered and audited vaulting facility in the nation) and it's own independent power grid.
So yes, we ARE Sparta.
