For Montréal it's pronounced La Main (the same as English) because it refers to boulevard St-Laurent as the main street. It's the street the joins the historic English and French sides of town.
not a soccer fan but slowly getting into it but is there like a particular standard for kits and what you expect from them? or is it purely aesthetics? like what makes a good kit - cus for NBA which is my favorite sport its pretty much just aesthetics that make a jersey considered good
So, for me personally, I'd of course never buy a kit if I didn't like the aesthetics of it. But I think the best kits are those that balance the aesthetic and the concept. But there are some so aesthetically pleasing that there doesn't need to be some big reference in it. For example, the Chicago Fire red kits are so clean and iconic compared to their last few home kits, there doesn't need to be some deep meaning behind it for me. Whereas, I think Toronto FC's home kits, release in 2023, are just ugly, so that would outweigh any concept that might be behind it. On the flipside, I casually follow the Milwaukee Bucks, their Cream City jersey was a pretty simple concept, but a really nice nod to MKE architecture. But when I actually bought a Bucks jersey, it was the black Antetokounmpo jersey because I just like the look of it better. So maybe, we just have two lenses when it comes to kits, kits as visual art and kits as applied fashion.

Minor nitpcik but its the Greater Toronto Area not the Global Toronto Area.
You're right, it is normally Greater Toronto Area. But in TFC's social media, they use Global as a play on Greater Toronto Area.
